I didn't know that GODIVA sells cakes in addition to chocolates! This ATELIER de GODIVA is only available at Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store, Daimaru Kyoto, and Hankyu Hakata. I happened to pass by Hankyu Hakata and saw cakes using plenty of chocolates that I had never seen before, so I couldn't resist and ended up buying three types: Coupe Chocolat Chocolat Noir, Coupe Chocolat Praline, and Singatou Chocolat. As expected of GODIVA, the chocolates used in the cakes are delicious. There are crunchy ganache and praline between the dough and chocolate layers, so you can enjoy different textures. I personally like chocolates that are not too sweet, so my favorite was Coupe Chocolat Chocolat Noir, followed by Singatou Chocolat. GODIVA chocolates are great, but if you feel like trying something different, definitely give this a try!

Located on the first basement floor of Hakata Hankyu, there is a Godiva shop. I usually don't have much to do with Godiva other than their chocolate drinks, but this Godiva is a special Atelier de Godiva, with only three stores in Japan. They had beautifully packaged boxes that were perfect for Valentine's gifts, so I splurged and bought one for my husband this year (nervously, as the showcase and staff exuded luxury). Although, in reality, it was mostly me and the kids who ended up eating them (laughs).

In search of dessert, I visited Hakata Hankyu, where the underground sweets section offers a variety of delicious treats. Atelier de Godiva is the second store in Japan and the first in Kyushu. It is a concept store produced by Godiva's chef chocolatier. The showcase displays beautiful chocolates, with the standout being the Coupe Chocolat, a special chocolate cup filled with biscuit and cream mousse. The Coupe Chocolat Banana Caramel (929 yen) features a rich gradient of banana and caramel cream, milk chocolate mousse, and crunchy chocolate crunch. Although a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it for the exquisite and delicious taste.

Until 10 years ago, Valentine's Day at work involved giving and receiving chocolates on an individual basis, which was nice but also a bit of a hassle. In recent years, group exchanges have become more common, which is cost-effective but can feel a bit lonely. GODIVA chocolates stand out from the rest with their special packaging and unique taste, making them a truly special gift. Even though they may be pricey, receiving GODIVA chocolates always brings joy, making them an eternal favorite.

There are collaboration products with Zen-Noh Group available. Paper bags and ice packs from Hankyu are free, but paper bags from GODIVA are charged.

The Godiva store inside Hakata Hankyu recently opened a new concept store called "ATELIERdeGODIVA," where they sell cakes. Currently, this concept store is only available in three locations nationwide. They offer a variety of cakes, including shortcakes. I purchased their signature dessert, the Coupe Chocolat Noir (918 yen). It has a unique cylindrical shape, with delicate chocolate cups filled with biscuit, cream, and mousse. The praline crispy and cocoa nibs add a nice touch, while the rich dark chocolate flavor spreads throughout your mouth. The Hakata store is currently only for takeout, but the other two locations offer a dine-in option with drinks. It would be great if they also offered dine-in at the Hakata store in the future!

Godiva's new concept store "Atelier de Godiva" opened two stores in Japan at the end of last year, located in the basement of Hakata Hankyu. Every time I passed by the store, I was drawn to the sparkling cakes and chocolates displayed in the showcase, so I finally decided to make a purchase.
- Coupe Chocolat Praline ¥918: A chocolate cup filled with hazelnut brulee and mousse. A rich and decadent mousse cake that is typical of Godiva. There was also a dark chocolate flavor available.
- Chocolat Cafe Cristian ¥800: A cube-shaped dark chocolate cake with a crispy biscuit texture. It has a luxurious feel, but it is light and easy to eat. There were many other cakes that caught my eye, so I look forward to trying them one by one. (*'▽')

At Hakata Hankyu, there is not only chocolate but also a salon-style shop offering cakes. This type of shop is a first for Godiva. I purchased a chocolate cupcake that caught my eye. There were two types: milk and bitter. I believe one was praline, but I can't recall the other. Each cupcake was over 900 yen. When I tried it at home, I didn't feel like it was worth the price, and the quality of the chocolate was also questionable. My wife and I discussed our impressions, and we both felt that we could have bought something better at another shop we were interested in. We could have bought four cakes from that shop for the price of one cupcake here. The only positive was the service, which was a saving grace.

I was curious so I bought some chocolates for myself as an early Valentine's treat. I couldn't decide so I got the Chocolat Noir and Framboise flavors. The Framboise had a slightly sweet and sour taste with a crispy bottom. It was delicious!

I went to Japan's second store right away. I thought it might be crowded because I saw it on TV, but I was able to buy without waiting at all, probably because of Christmas. I ate a dessert called Coupe Chocolat Banana Caramel, which I chose for a colleague who loves chocolate. I wonder how they make the cup made of chocolate. The mousse on top, the chocolate ring, the moist texture of the banana inside, and the sponge at the bottom. The bitter taste is not too sweet at all. It costs ¥918 for one, which may seem expensive, but it's worth it because it's time-consuming and unique. It might be good for a special occasion.

I have tried Godiva's drinks in various places, but I have never written a review, so here it is. I find Godiva's drinks to have a more sophisticated taste compared to Starbucks' Frappuccinos, so I occasionally treat myself to one. The size is similar to Starbucks' short size, but it costs 600 yen (which seems expensive when compared to McDonald's value sets). This time, I ordered a 600 yen drink that tasted like Darjeeling white chocolate. It had a hint of black tea flavor and the signature delicious Godiva chocolate taste. Personally, I like white chocolate, so if you don't, you may not enjoy it as much. I personally wish they would offer more fruit flavors like banana or strawberry.

After returning from a business trip at Hakata Station, feeling a bit tired, my colleague and I decided to stop by Godiva. Next to it is the fruit parlor TOKIO, and when you're tired, sweet treats are just what you need! I ordered the Chocolate Lixir, dark chocolate flavor, which cost around 580 yen. It's really delicious, isn't it? I had ordered matcha before, but it was too sweet for me, so I didn't like it. On the other hand, the dark chocolate at Godiva, with its chocolatey bits and shake, blends perfectly. While Godiva's delicious chocolates are top-notch, this chilled Godiva Chocolate Lixir also provides a refreshing sweetness in your mouth. Thank you for the delicious chocolates.

I finally tried the Godiva Chocolixir that I had been curious about for a while. It's not cheap at around 600 yen. It may look small, but if you drink more than that, you will definitely gain weight!! That's the kind of taste it has. There are several flavors, and although I was drawn to the matcha flavor, I honestly think that the matcha from Morihan for around 200 yen nearby tastes better. Also, Starbucks' matcha cream Frappuccino tastes better. However, it's not bad. But I won't be going back for more. That's the kind of taste.

I stopped by because I was out shopping (*´ω`*) Since we don't have this in the countryside, I always end up stopping by when I see it♪ (I'm a country bumpkin, haha) I'll brew some coffee at home and enjoy it with these (*´ω`*) I'm happy that each piece is rich in flavor♪ I bought some as gifts for my friends, but couldn't resist getting some for myself too (haha) The 72% was more acidic than bitter ( ̄▽ ̄) Personally, I found the 50% to be just right♪ The box is too nice to throw away...

As we enter December, things are getting busy and hectic, but I received a gift of Godiva chocolates as a treat! It's a Christmas limited edition assortment with green and white packaging. Inside, there are seasonal limited edition truffle dark chocolates and the classic matcha truffle. It's a thoughtful gesture that makes chocolate lovers like me happy. I like to enjoy them with a cup of coffee during a short break. Sometimes, when I see a chocolate delicately placed on a saucer at a café, it really brings a sense of comfort. Both chocolates are not too sweet, just the right balance. However, I always wish the matcha one had a bit more matcha flavor. I remember the first time I encountered green-colored chocolates or cakes abroad, thinking it was matcha-flavored, only to learn that pistachio is more common. Now, back to finishing up the remaining work!

Valentine's classic celebrity chocolate, GODIVA's "Kare" caught my eye as I was about to purchase it, but then I noticed this newly released product from October 12th with a limited edition until January, so I went ahead and bought it. Therefore, I will leave it to the professionals to review "Kare" further. m(_ _)m
Macaron Chocolat 3-piece set (1365 yen) ... Inside the macaron is chocolate ganache, coated with chocolate. Raspberry & White Chocolate - The vivid shocking pink macaron with a sweet and sour raspberry and white chocolate on the side is a harmonious mix of sweet, sour, sweet. Dark Chocolate - From the moment you pick it up, it's all about the aroma of chocolate! This one is all about enjoying the differences in texture of all-chocolate flavors. Matcha & Milk Chocolate - Coated with milk chocolate, it has a gentle flavor with a pale color. Inside the light green matcha macaron is a rich Uji matcha ganache. Sweet and mellow -> slightly bitter -> bitter. Slightly larger than regular macarons, with sweetness and satisfying texture, it's perfect for a tea break. At 455 yen per piece, I should have done the math... but there's no end to it...
Even though it's relatively easy to get in Japan, GODIVA has long been reigning as the "honmei choco" (chocolate for someone special) during Valentine's season. While it's now easy to buy high-end foreign chocolates online, I still think GODIVA is the top brand for luxury chocolates from overseas.

On April 3, 2011, in Hakata-ku, inside JR Hakata City, near the Godiva store, there is another Godiva store that does not sell shakes, so be careful. The White Chocolate Double Strawberry (560 yen) has a strong strawberry acidity, not too sweet, and is extremely delicious. The combination of white chocolate and strawberry is excellent. It seems like they crushed it with a mixer, as there are white chocolate pieces scattered throughout, which adds to the deliciousness. I want to drink it again. Taste: 43/50, Cost performance: 9/20, Atmosphere: 11/20, Service: 5/10. Overall rating: 68/100.

Located in the basement floor of Hakata Hankyu, this is a well-known nationwide chain store specializing in chocolates. I purchased a tablet of salted caramel and some white chocolate wrapping chocolates this time. The salted caramel tablet contains salty caramel inside milk chocolate, which was delicious with a nice balance of sweet and salty flavors. The wrapping chocolates were individually wrapped and were quite sweet white chocolates.

This is Godiva, a chocolate shop located on the basement floor of Hakata Hankyu. I have only used Godiva once before at a store at the west exit of Shinjuku Station, but this is my first time since returning to Fukuoka. After having a meal at the food court on the same floor, I was craving something sweet and stumbled upon this shop while walking. I ordered a cold chocolate drink called Chocolixir, which was topped with plenty of whipped cream and chocolate chips, quite sweet. I am satisfied. The price was a bit high, but you can also enjoy a sense of luxury and there were various types available, so I would like to visit again.
