Thank you for having me! I was still doing the barley rice, so I decided to go with that again. Usually, I get the salmon set meal, but this time I just ordered one piece of fried chicken. It was delicious as always. I forgot to take a picture, but it was really good. Thank you!

It was a little early for lunch, so it was empty when I arrived, but it quickly filled up! Just made it in time (╹◡╹)♡ Also, the person sitting in front of me is having the same dish as me(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ What a coincidence! I like pouring sticky sauce over barley rice and digging in(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ It was delicious. Thank you♪

The fancy Yoshigyu was quite empty around 10:15, with only about 30% of the seats filled. I sat at a vacant counter seat and was asked to pay in advance. I ordered the green onion salt fried chicken bowl (regular size). With two Jeff Gourmet cards, the total came to 387 yen, and I received the change. The hot tea was served with a simple "thank you" and it was a bit weak. After about 9 minutes, the buzzer went off and I went to pick up my order. The fried chicken was too salty, and the cabbage was more noticeable than the green onions, but it was tough and not so great. It seems like you have to return the dishes yourself, but the prices are not much different from other places that offer better service. Am I the only one who finds this strange? Time to leave.

Today, I went to Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, where the Hodochi branch was absorbed by the Konoike Shinden branch. I had to go to the Konoike Shinden branch for my inquiries. It took about an hour and a half at the bank, quite a long time. I thought of making a reservation next time, but it couldn't be helped. For lunch, I tried going to a udon restaurant, but it was closed. Then I tried an eel restaurant, but that was closed too. Maybe Wednesdays are off days around Konoike Shinden. I decided to go to Gojodou instead, but it was under renovation. I gave up and went to Osho, a restaurant with locations in Kyoto and Osaka. It was my first time going there, and I was surprised when the staff asked me to place my order at the counter. I ordered a large serving of noodles with a raw egg. They also offered miso soup, but I declined. The self-service system at the food court was interesting, with drinks and condiments available for self-serve. The noodles were served, and I added pickled ginger and shichimi pepper before eating. The onions in the dish were more assertive than I remembered from previous visits to Yoshinoya. It seems like they have changed the recipe to be more modern. Overall, I prefer the old taste, but it was still a satisfying meal.

As of September 2021, there are only four Kuroyoshinoya branches in Osaka Prefecture. The latest ranking for the Kaisei!! Yoshinoya Juku is 66th, with Sensei Meri at +1 and Meri Ji at 67 (pending: +1 from the previous day, +1 for the current day). This count includes Meat Day bonuses of +2 and apology bonuses of +1. As of September 13th, the number of participants is as follows: Osaka Castle Higashi Ward - 2,480 people (+1 person), Osaka Prefecture - 130,952 people (+25 people), Nationwide - 2,572,562 people (+290 people). Menu items include the Drink Bar Gyudon with extra vegetables, a larger portion of rice, a lighter rice option, and changing the miso soup to tonjiru. Supplements include peptides and sarashia.

I always aim for a straightforward approach that showcases the charm of the characters rather than relying on small jokes. Those are the words of film director Renpei Tsukamoto. I noticed that "Leon" was at the top on Amazon Prime, and I wondered why, but then I realized that their latest film "Today's Harassment Bento" had been released. It's a different type of movie, but Chiemi's passionate performance is impressive. Today, I went to Higashi-Osaka City. I was originally aiming for a different restaurant, but got lost along the way, so I ended up trying "Yoshinoya Konoikeshinden Store" that I stumbled upon by chance. I decided to try the limited menu item, Beef Kimchi Guppa (490 yen), that caught my eye. It comes with beef and pork, and you can make it extra spicy for free, but I opted for the regular level as I'm afraid of extreme spiciness. The bright red soup felt refreshing in this heat. The abundance of napa cabbage kimchi and the crunchy bean sprouts provided a nice texture contrast. The spiciness was enjoyable, allowing me to fully savor the umami flavors. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. This place operates on a self-service basis, where you place your order and pay first, then pick up your food when it's ready. I imagine this style will become more common. I will continue to improve my path and finish without regrets.

#Monochrome Yoshinoya in a cafe-style setting#Order at the counter! Is this McDonald's?!#Fast❗ Yoshinoya becomes slow❗July 2019Hello everyone! I'm busy with work as always. "Oh no! I don't have time to eat!" Due to a long commute and holiday traffic, my lunch break is getting shorter. "Oh well! Let's just grab something quick at Yoshinoya!" With some fancy driving skills, I quickly made my way to the Yoshinoya along the road. "What?! Is this McDonald's?!" You order at the counter here and they have a pickup window! Seriously?! "Gimme a large beef bowl with extra sauce! And also a regular beef plate, miso soup, egg, and pickles!" I didn't have to say all that! (*>∀<*) And... the menu! The menu! Fried chicken and dessert, really?! Come on, I'm getting older! Bacon and egg beef bowl (hey, they put an egg on it!), regular beef plate, miso soup to finish. Total: 990 yen. As expected, the bacon and egg beef bowl was delicious. The beef on the beef plate was also very tasty. The only downside was how slow the service was. It was unbelievably slow. Thanks for the meal! ▼Location▼
It is located right at the intersection of Nakahongikecho 2-chome on Prefectural Route 168.
▼About the Restaurant▼
Yoshinoya was founded in 1899 at a fish market in Nihonbashi. The first store was relocated when the fish market moved to Tsukiji. In the 1970s, they began expanding as a chain and have become one of the largest beef bowl chains in Japan. The Hongo Shinden store is a unique black Yoshinoya with a different store design and menu.
▼Menu▼
They offer various rice bowl dishes such as beef bowls and fried chicken bowls, set meals like pork ginger and fried chicken, curry dishes, as well as cakes and a drink bar.
▼Food Ordered▼
▽Fried Chicken Set Meal (Regular) 680 yen
(As of July 2018) This is a limited menu item at the black Yoshinoya, which includes 5 pieces of fried chicken, rice, and miso soup. The fried chicken is made with thigh meat, has a slightly chewy texture, and is simple but decent. It also comes with salt and pepper for seasoning.
▼Impressions▼
Yoshinoya is a well-established beef bowl chain and one of the largest in Japan. The Hongo Shinden store is a new version with a black signboard, which is only found in three locations in Osaka. The cafe-like setting offers a variety of menu items including set meals and rice bowls, as well as a drink bar and cakes. I tried the fried chicken set meal, which was okay in terms of taste. The restaurant attracts a different clientele compared to other Yoshinoya locations, possibly due to its unique design. I would like to visit again if given the chance.

I had a 538 yen ginger grilled set meal at Yoshinoya, which is rare to see something other than beef bowl!

Recently, there has been a change at Yoshinoya, a popular beef bowl chain in Japan. They have introduced new menu items like fried foods and have revamped their interior to have a stylish cafe-like atmosphere. This new version of Yoshinoya, known as "Black Yoshinoya," was discovered through word of mouth. I found out that they serve a unique bowl with fried chicken on top, which was quite surprising. Unfortunately, this new concept is only available at select locations, but luckily the Konoike Shinden store was within my reach. When I visited, I found that the interior was not actually black, but rather white and stylish with green accents. You order and pay at the entrance counter, receive a pager, and then wait at your table for your food in a self-service style. The system is different from a regular Yoshinoya. I tried the Garlic Butter Fried Chicken set meal, which was served with sesame dressing and mayonnaise that I had chosen when ordering. The four pieces of fried chicken were crispy and tasty, with a moderate amount of garlic butter sauce. It had a flavor reminiscent of potato chips. I would like to try the Tartar Fried Chicken set meal, which is also priced the same. The table seating seemed more popular than the counter seats, and there were many couples and families dining. I hope that this "Black Yoshinoya" concept expands further. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain day off, I visited the newly renovated Yoshinoya Konoike Shinden store. The menu has been updated with a focus on fried dishes like "fried chicken bowl" and "fried chicken tartar". The interior of the store feels more like a family restaurant or café, with a different ordering system where you place your order at the counter, receive a buzzer, and collect your food when called. I tried the "fried chicken set meal" which came with 4 bite-sized pieces of fried chicken, rice, and miso soup. The fried chicken was tasty, but lacked any unique flavors or originality. Overall, it was a decent meal, but I couldn't help but feel that Yoshinoya was trying to compete with other fried food-focused chains.

Yoshinoya, which reopened on May 27th, is located just a 2-3 minute walk from Koji Shin Den Station. The exterior has a more modern look compared to the previous store. The ordering system is different now - you order at the cashier, pay, and then pick up your order when the buzzer goes off. The seating area is clean and there are no chopsticks or pickled ginger at the tables. They are all placed at a separate counter. The interior of the restaurant has a water dispenser, pickled ginger, and condiments all in one place. There is also free Wi-Fi available. The seating area has USB charging ports and AC power outlets. The Karaage Donburi for 490 yen is a limited edition menu item. It consists of rice, shredded cabbage, and four pieces of crispy fried chicken. The chicken has flavor but the rest of the dish is bland. It could use some more seasoning.

The location of the restaurant was a 5-minute walk from Konike Shinden Station, facing a main street with a spacious and noticeable garage. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the classic beef bowl with extra broth and pickles for 580 yen. The rice was fluffy and the onions and meat were delicious. The pickles had a subtle flavor of kelp, which was also tasty. Every dish I've tried at this restaurant has been consistently good. I look forward to trying their new menu items next time.

Today, I had work in my local area and headed straight to the site. On the way, I decided to have breakfast at Yoshinoya in Konoi Shinden, which is currently undergoing renovation. Since it was still early, I tried their new breakfast menu, the "Mentaiko Set" for 390 yen. Although I was a bit hesitant about the concept of having mentaiko (spicy cod roe) for breakfast at a beef bowl chain, I decided to give it a try. The previous breakfast menu items had not been successful, so I was curious about this new addition. The set included a few slices of mentaiko, seasoned seaweed, pickles, rice, and miso soup. It arrived quickly, and although the rice portion seemed slightly smaller than the usual beef bowl, I found the meal to be quite simple and satisfying. The mentaiko was sweet with a hint of chili pepper, and overall, it was a decent meal. I believe the new "Mentaiko Set" breakfast menu at Yoshinoya will be well-received. I also heard that they have revamped their "Ham and Egg Set" menu, so I look forward to trying that next time. Overall, it was a good meal.

Today, I had work in Higashi-Osaka again (=゚ω゚)ノ Let's do a quick review. For breakfast, all the major gyudon chains have been adding new versions and changing up their menus, including their breakfast sets. Yoshinoya used to compete with their "natto set," "grilled fish (salmon) set," and "special morning set (natto + salmon)," but now they have added a "sea bream tofu rice bowl set" and a "chicken soboro rice bowl set." I decided to try the chicken soboro set this morning since I had a disappointing experience with a "tofu bowl" at another branch. The breakfast set arrived in 1-2 minutes, which was quite fast. It consisted of a slightly lighter portion of rice topped with chicken soboro, miso soup, and a slice of rolled omelet. The price was 290 yen. The chicken soboro had a sweet and savory flavor, but I felt like there could have been a bit more of it. The rolled omelet was unremarkable. Overall, for the price, it was decent, but I think a bit more chicken soboro would have been better. In terms of breakfast sets, in my opinion, Yoshinoya was a complete defeat compared to other major gyudon chains. The Zensho group's chain stores are the clear winners. Yoshinoya should stick to serving gyudon all day long. Thank you for the meal~.

Rating: 3.00, based on 4 reviews! It seems like this place used to be a Bamiyan restaurant, but when did it change to Yoshinoya? I came here for Bamiyan, but ended up at Yoshinoya! Just kidding! (laughs) I ordered the Barley and Beef Bowl for 580 yen. It comes with miso soup, okra, beef bowl, barley rice, and grated yam with a raw egg on top. Definitely need to add the raw egg for 60 yen! The slimy texture is refreshing in the summer. It's delicious! But you know what? Without the beef bowl, it looks like a monk's meal! I don't know what a monk's meal looks like... In Kanto, don't they usually eat grated yam rice with dashi? It would be tasty with some simmered kelp added! Some good quality soy sauce would be nice too! Thank you for the meal!
