I had been wanting to visit Hakata Wellbe but hadn't been able to go, but finally I was able to stay there. If you're a sauna lover, you definitely want to visit Hakata Wellbe at least once! It's not very big, but it has a nice atmosphere. I was happy that a hearty breakfast was included! It was delicious. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I ordered lunch after the sauna without thinking and started eating the Betokon ramen without any doubts. I was pleasantly surprised by how much garlic was in it, which really stimulated my appetite. There were many options for lunch, but I am glad I came across this ramen.

Overall, I am a casual sauna enthusiast who got hooked on saunas after trying it out at a health club. I decided to stay at Welby for the first time and since breakfast was included, I decided to give it a try. Here is my review on the breakfast and some other aspects of the hotel. Breakfast: It used to be a buffet style breakfast, but now they provide a set meal like a grilled fish set when you present your breakfast ticket. Breakfast at business hotels can be hit or miss, but this one was quite good. Capsule Review: I have used capsule hotels extensively in the past, but due to the pandemic, I haven't been using them as much. I almost forgot how dry it can get inside the capsule. The air conditioning seems to be stronger now, making it even drier than before. Since outside drinks are not allowed, I recommend keeping a damp towel inside for moisture. Sauna: This sauna facility is unique in that it doesn't have a warm bath, making it a great place to enjoy the sauna experience. However, I did miss having a hot bath in the morning. Nevertheless, the shock of jumping into the 5-degree cold water in the morning really wakes you up. Thank you for the experience.

I visited Wellbe Fukuoka in the early morning and went to the sauna. The facilities were excellent, just like my previous visit before COVID-19. There are three types of saunas, and no regular hot baths. The sauna temperatures were generally mild, but I was able to sweat comfortably in the auto-ryu and self-ryu wet saunas without overdoing it. There are no TVs in any of the saunas, creating a quiet environment with only healing music in the main sauna. The sauna area also has a water bath at 16°C for cooling down. The individual cold bath was dark and small, allowing for relaxation and sweating. The cold water was a surprising 5°C, making my toes feel numb like a newborn deer after just 10 seconds. The ice sauna was -25°C, providing a gentle cooldown compared to the strong cold water. The relaxation chairs in the relaxation space had a unique design and were comfortable to sit in. They had small holes to prevent water from pooling on the chairs, which was a clever design. After completing three sets, I moved to the restaurant and refreshed with a lemon squash for 280 yen including tax. The breakfast set meal costs 880 yen, but it is complimentary if you stay overnight. Overall, it was a great experience. The usage fee for 90 minutes is 1,500 yen including tax.

I went on a business trip to Fukuoka and stayed at a hotel I had been wanting to stay at for a while. After checking in, I went straight to the sauna. I had four rounds of sauna before going out. I went to have a drink in Nakasu Kawabata before heading to a restaurant where I ordered as shown in the picture. To finish off, I tried the "Viet Cong Ramen" that I saw on a Gifu special feature of a secret Kenmin show. It was full of garlic, which made the sauna experience quite intense. Since everyone was eating it, I didn't want to miss out and gave it a try. It was a stamina-boosting ramen. Highly recommended!

I decided to stay at Wellbe again this time because the sauna at Wellbe in Sakae where I stayed before was amazing. The breakfast for guests only was also great, but honestly, the quality and quantity were no match for Sakae. However, I believe this is not a difference in facilities, but rather the power of Nagoya's breakfast culture. Overall, I think the free breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and quantity.

On Thursday at 12:30, I went to "Wellby Fukuoka". After enjoying the sauna, I headed to the restaurant area. A popular drink for sauna-goers after a session is "Olopo", a unique drink made by mixing Oronamin C with Pocari Sweat. I took a sip and it was delicious. Surprisingly, the drink was served in a large glass, but the perfect balance of Oronamin C and Pocari Sweat made it refreshing. I also tried their signature dish called "Betocon Ramen", which originated in Aichi or Gifu Prefecture. This ramen is known for its strong garlic flavor, although I wished it had more spiciness from the chili peppers. Many people come here not only for the sauna but also for the "Olopo" and sauna meals. I hope Osaka will have a similar facility in the future. Thank you for the meal.

The shop operated by the godfather of the sauna world. The headquarters is in Nagoya, but the only location outside the prefecture is here in Fukuoka. I couldn't wait to visit, so I made an emergency visit to the Fukuoka store before a scheduled meeting. The interior is clean and dispels the image of an old-fashioned sauna. I sweated in a sauna with just the right humidity, then headed to the dining area. Despite the constraints of having to eat later, I indulged in my favorite bacon and eggs. To quench my dry throat, I had a highball. The fried egg had a light sprinkling of pepper and was topped with a touch of soy sauce. It was cooked to a soft-boiled perfection. The bacon and eggs were delicious, even here in Fukuoka. A delicious fried egg with a chilled highball - the perfect combination. They also serve curry rice, champon, and popular meat udon, making it a place you could stay for hours. Reluctantly, I hurriedly left. A space where you can enjoy both sauna and drinks - Wellbe Fukuoka. I'm glad I forced my way in!

I headed to Gion. Since work was over, I went straight to Wellbe without getting lost. In conclusion, it is definitely one of the top saunas in the country without a doubt. The employees work efficiently, the facilities are clean and well-equipped. The concept is a combination of the best of Finland and Japan. The Kelosauna is a meditation-style sauna in the forest where you can feel the babbling of water without a TV. It's relatively soft heat at around 90 degrees, but you can sweat refreshingly. However, the cold water bath afterwards is intense! There are two types of cold baths, but the strong cold water is a surprising Finnish quality with a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. I experienced 8 degrees in Tokorozawa, but this is probably the coldest cold bath I've ever experienced in my life. After about 15 seconds, the sensation in the tips of my toes was paralyzed and I couldn't move for a while. But the recovery afterwards was amazing. Also, there is a small Japanese-style room resembling a tea room designed by Sen no Rikyu, where you can lie down on the tatami while self-rotating. Furthermore, the -25 degree ice sauna is a fun experience to cool down the body with the same equipment as the Ei store. There were many bear-like fur decorations. The Aufguss is held every hour, albeit short. Overall, it was a facility full of charm! After bathing, I went to the restaurant. I finished by drinking Oroyak. It was a feast. If it were nearby, it would definitely become a regular spot.

Last night, I stayed at a business hotel in Fukuoka city where the accommodation fee was high but the quality was lacking. In times like these, I choose to stay in a capsule hotel. I skipped the sauna and relaxed in the mild hot spring for a long time, then surfed the internet on a reclining chair. When I got sleepy, I went straight to bed in the capsule without worrying about hearing someone else's snoring, so I woke up feeling great this morning. At breakfast, I had a salad, omelet, grilled fish, and meatballs, which were all pretty standard. But when I went to get some rice at another table, I discovered something interesting in a plain pot in the corner – curry! It didn't smell much in the dining area, hence I call it "stealth curry". The taste was as expected, but it definitely boosted my mood in the morning. I ended up eating more curry than other dishes, but managed to finish everything. Thank you for the meal.

The night before, I had the usual weekend drinking party with my colleagues, but this time it was held in Nakasu instead of Tenjin!! It started after 9 pm, so I checked into this capsule hotel and went out. We had izakaya and sushi, then returned to the hotel after 2 am. I was still energetic at that time (lol). I spent 12 minutes in the spacious sauna for 5 sets after returning at 2 am!! Capsule Hotel (free breakfast buffet) I have stayed at many capsule hotels in Hakata, but the one near Hakata Station, Cabinn Fukuoka, was the largest and the best. This one is smaller, so maybe it's second best? Compared to the capsule hotel in Nakasu, this place is much cleaner and the baths are more satisfying. And the free breakfast buffet is a delightful service here (*´∀｀) Looking at the photos now, I realize I was a light eater back then!! There weren't many side dishes, but you could get seconds of rice, so I was very satisfied. I had a relaxing time. Thank you for the meal~♪

I went to "Wellbe Fukuoka" for the first time on Ladies' Day held on October 10, 2022! After experiencing the Finnish-style high-temperature sauna, I tried the signature of Wellbe, the ice-cold water bath at 4℃. When I entered the ice-cold water bath, my hands and feet instantly tingled and I felt a sensation like never before, truly a moment of cooling down. I felt refreshed right from the first set. After enjoying the lukewarm sauna and the outdoor bath, it was time for a meal. I was torn between Fukuoka's famous spicy miso grilled meat set and a hamburger, but this time I opted for just a drink. A cold drink after the sauna is the best. The Vietnamese fried rice was delicious! I was able to enjoy some music before eating.

Next to the canal, I visited this shop wanting to experience a sauna like in comedy. It was my first time in a sauna, so there were various surprises, but I used it after that bath. I didn't have my wallet with me, but it was okay. I ordered by scanning the locker key, and settled the bill at the front when leaving. I ordered beer and salad. The beer was cold and delicious! It was a good experience.
