This shop has a wide variety of menu options and everything you eat is delicious. They serve raw squid, and when you've had your fill, they will make the rest into tempura. It's a seafood restaurant, but they also have meat dishes which is nice. They have private rooms so you can relax and enjoy your meal. I would love to come back again.

Fresh fish and local cuisine restaurant "Tatsuto" in Osaka, Shinsaibashi. Located next to Minami Police Station in Shinsaibashi, this delicious izakaya is a must-visit! Even though I went alone, I ended up ordering two rice dishes because they were so good! The must-try dishes are the oyster and crab kamameshi rice and the squid rice bowl, both incredibly delicious. The food has a punch to it and feels like a step above your typical izakaya. There seems to be tables on the second floor as well, perfect for a relaxing time. I'm sure this place is a guaranteed hit for welcome or year-end parties!

When trying to order a course on the day of the reservation for only a seat reservation, it seems that courses are reservation-only. Unfortunately, there was no mention on Tabelog that the course is reservation-only. I ended up switching to a different single dish. First, I toasted with a Masters Dream (excluding tax) for 790 yen. The Hakata specialty motsunabe (excluding tax) for 1390 yen was the main dish. The extravagant Tatsu and Morii for two people (excluding tax) for 1980 yen was not as extravagant as shown in the picture. The Bizen black beef and sea urchin (excluding tax) for 1290 yen might be better eaten separately. The steamed Hokkaido snow crab (excluding tax) for 1790 yen was average. The Hokkaido snow crab and avocado salad (excluding tax) for 990 yen was also average. The Hokkaido snow crab and lettuce fried rice (excluding tax) for 690 yen was also average. The seasonal sherbet (excluding tax) for 390 yen was a good palate cleanser. It was a bit disappointing overall.

Today is a sunny Saturday. I rode my bike to my usual café, Asaba, on Nagahori Bridge for breakfast and a chat. Then I headed south on my bike. It's about lunchtime now. I'm wandering around the area, and as I head south on Senengoku Street, I suddenly notice Tatsumoto. It's a cozy izakaya or small restaurant that serves local dishes from various regions. I've never been there at night because you can't see inside from outside, but they have a lunch menu displayed outside. They offer a pork teki set meal, three kinds of seared dishes, chicken cutlet, fried chicken, a special tuna bowl, tempura soba, and seafood rolls. I also checked inside and saw other options like a fall set with meat udon, seared buri set meal, chirashi bowl, seafood bowl, and more. The interior has table seating areas and seems to have space in the back as well. I sat at a table and ordered the chicken cutlet set meal. The chicken is Miyazaki Hinata chicken. I have fond memories of Hinata because I used to stay there often on business trips. The set meal arrived after a while with the main plate, salad bowl, pickled side dish, and brown sauce. Salt was set on the table. The chicken cutlet was cut to show a large cross-section. The angle of the knife seems to be around 40°, making the cross-section clearly visible. The chicken appears to be of good quality, but the umami flavor is not particularly strong. It has a nice texture without being dry. I tried a bite with salt first. Then I tried it with the thick sauce. The sauce looks like a sesame sauce for shabu-shabu. It's not very acidic but quite rich. This definitely enhances the flavor as a rice accompaniment. I kept eating and finished the meal feeling full. Oh, the service was also excellent. The waitress was clear and efficient in guiding and answering questions. Wonderful. Thank you for the meal.

I was having lunch and was drawn to the pork teki (^o^) There is a shop next to Tonkatsu Oki-san that caught my attention. In the mood for pork teki, I decided to visit and found Miyazaki Hinata chicken katsu, karaage, a limited edition maguro don (only 5 servings available), and more! Chicken Katsu: 890 yen, Karaage: 790 yen, Maguro Don: 1500 yen (limited to 5 servings), Tempura Soba, Seafood Roll: 1200 yen, Three-color Assorted Set: 890 yen, Pork Teki 150g: 1000 yen, Pork Teki 200g: 1200 yen, Pork Teki 300g: 1500 yen, Onsen Tamago +50 yen. Except for soba, miso soup and rice are free for refills! After some contemplation, I decided to go for the Pork Teki Set! They also have free WiFi. After a while, the Pork Teki 150g arrived! It was served on a hot plate. I prefer to eat it with just salt and pepper, but I was surprised to find that the bean sprouts underneath the pork teki were tasteless and quite crunchy? Almost raw-like? I poured the sauce over it. It was a sweet onion sauce that seemed to be made from Awaji Island pork, and it was delicious. The fried potatoes were also sweet and tasty! The rice was hot, shiny, and fluffy - just the way I like it! It was delicious! I couldn't help but compliment the staff on how delicious the rice was, and they said it's a common compliment they receive. The rice is from Shiga. I had a generous serving of rice as well. I'm curious about the karaage, so I'll definitely go back to try it out! ♬

I used this restaurant for a business dinner during my trip to Osaka. This was my second visit. The main dish was motsunabe, and the overall atmosphere and food made me feel like I was in Kyushu. The motsunabe was finished with noodles. I always go to work nearby, so this place has become my favorite. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I was asked to find a restaurant for a birthday party for a company member in Minami. I chose this restaurant that I had been bookmarking. We made a reservation for a slightly late time of 9:00 PM, so I was informed that some items might be sold out, so I pre-ordered the sashimi platter and fresh oysters. I left the ordering to the chef and the dishes were as follows: - Large oysters from Miyagi: The big oysters really got me excited! It's the best feeling to be able to enjoy high-quality oysters raw. - Assorted sashimi platter: The fish used here is of good quality. Everything was fresh and delicious! You can tell the high quality of the ingredients. - Assorted tempura platter: The tempura was fried very carefully and not greasy at all, crispy and delicious. We had them all with salt. - Seared ostrich from Kagoshima: A unique dish that stood out! The ostrich had a strong flavor, some people may like it! I'm not really a fan of it, though haha. We also had firefly squid with vinegar miso and butter-grilled turban shell. - Assorted Satsuma-age (deep-fried fish cake) from Kagoshima: They offer various types of Satsuma-age. I had the cheese-filled one and it was so delicious! I didn't know Satsuma-age could be this tasty! - Salt-seared bonito: Bonito seared over straw was amazing! So we ordered it! We had thick slices of bonito with salt. It was so good! Overall, this restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. You can also reserve a private room in advance, and the atmosphere is great! The prices for individual dishes are quite high, so adding them to a course menu might be a good deal. I purchased a coupon for Luxa. The course with a kaiseki meal and all-you-can-drink option costs just under 5000 yen. While the portion size for each dish is not large, there are many dishes so overall, the amount is satisfying. The sashimi is very fresh. The meat and crab were also delicious. The seasoning of the sea bream rice pot was very tasty.

With my gym buddies, we visited a restaurant for the first time and started off with some delicious white fish tempura. We also ordered sashimi platter which included bonito, sea bream, amberjack, and octopus. We enjoyed some potato shochu on the rocks while waiting for the food. However, the overall pace of serving the dishes was slow, possibly due to a large group dining in. Some other customers got upset and left after canceling their orders. The chicken tempura was crispy and tasty. The restaurant offers a variety of regional specialties, although the service was a bit slow, the flavors were solid and delicious. We tried the ultimate curry shabu-shabu with sliced potatoes in the pot, which was unique and had a delicate soup. The light and slightly sweet porridge before the Fukuoka-style thin noodle cheese curry risotto was unexpected but delightful. The Inaniwa udon at the end was a carb overload, and it was a bit spicy due to a seasoning mistake. We left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied.

I made a reservation for a 5500 yen course using a coupon after reading reviews, but honestly, it was just average. The seafood was below average. We were seated on the first floor where the ceiling was low and it was dark, not ideal for dining. You can't always trust reviews. The additional crab we ordered was too salty to eat.

I have visited "Tatsuto," a restaurant specializing in fresh fish and local cuisine, for receptions several times. The restaurant offers VIP rooms on the third floor for an additional fee, which can accommodate up to 8 people. The atmosphere is very nice, with amenities and a restroom on the same floor. The winter menu includes dishes such as yellowtail shabu-shabu, sashimi, tempura, oyster fry, and creative Chinese-style dumplings, all served promptly. The meal concludes with a satisfying porridge. The quality of the course menu is very high compared to the price, making it a hidden gem in Shinsaibashi.

We used this restaurant for a year-end party. This time we had a course meal, with 3 types of small dishes, sashimi, tempura, grilled dishes, dessert, and more. The food was delicious, especially the sashimi which was very luxurious with 5 types including medium fatty tuna. The main dish was the salted malted liver hot pot, which was recommended by the staff. When the hot pot was ready, we added grated yam which went very well with the liver! The liver was surprisingly tender and delicious, and the hot pot soup was also very tasty, we kept adding more soup. The finishing ramen was also excellent! The staff were friendly and provided great service, making our experience very pleasant. There were also many appetizing items on the a la carte menu, so we definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

We all gathered in the private room on the second floor and the birthday party began♡ Now, let's start the review! - Appetizers (Squid with Sansho Pepper, Water Octopus with White Miso, Yuba with Sea Urchin): The squid with Sansho pepper had a unique chewy texture that was irresistible! The white miso was light and delicious, while the yuba with sea urchin topped with wasabi salt was smooth and paired perfectly with the uni. Great appetizers for sake! - Flounder Assortment: A luxurious and photogenic dish that we all exclaimed over when it arrived! The thinly sliced flounder was delicious whether eaten as is, with vinegar citrus, or in various ways. The engawa (flounder fin) was surprisingly fatty and absolutely delicious! - Grilled Oysters: A must-have dish for one of my friends who saw my previous review and requested it. The oysters were plump and delicious, with a slightly bitter taste that was irresistible. We had fun cracking them open and enjoying them together! - Sweet Potato Tempura (Onion, Spicy Burdock): The onion tempura was sweet and crunchy, while the burdock tempura was surprisingly spicy and delicious! - Amberjack Shabu-Shabu: A beautifully presented dish with instructions to quickly shabu-shabu the amberjack in the citrus-flavored broth.
