I had some business in this area, so I decided to visit this shop that I had been curious about for a while. Right next to this shop is Namba Hachimansha Shrine, which I didn't know much about before, so I stopped by and saw many foreign tourists visiting. Even though it was just after opening, there were already many customers, and I was able to get a 100 yen discount ticket by entering before 11:40. I ordered the "Sobayoshi Bento" for 1078 yen, which I have tried at other Sobayoshi locations. I chose the warm soba option. The bento included grilled fish, simmered hijiki seaweed, curry potato croquette, konjac with vinegar miso dressing, and shrimp tempura. The soba had a slightly chewy texture, and I personally prefer it a bit firmer, but the soba dipping sauce was delicious without being too sweet. I wish the shrimp tempura was a bit larger, but overall, all the side dishes were well-seasoned. It was nice to find a shop that offers soba with side dishes in a bento set, as it's not something you see everywhere.

This is the place in Osaka where you can easily go to eat soba. The prices are a bit high, but the seating is well spaced out, creating a calm atmosphere for enjoying your soba. It is popular among those who work nearby. The staff always refill your tea without you having to ask, which is nice.

It was a very hot day. When I entered the restaurant, I was told that there was seating available in the tatami area, but I preferred a table so I waited a bit. The restaurant was busy as it was lunchtime. A 4-person table near the entrance became available, so we sat there. I let my companion choose the dishes. We ordered zaru udon, ikura salmon on steamed rice, dashimaki tamago, kisu tempura, shime saba, and asparagus tempura. This place is known for its soba, but I have a buckwheat allergy so I ordered udon. However, they said I could change it to mugwort udon! The tempura was crispy and delicious! Everything else was also tasty. The only downside was that the table near the entrance. It couldn't be helped, but the door kept opening constantly, so it was hot. We had our meal while sweating a bit. I would like to go back to eat there again!

This year's midsummer day of the ox falls on July 30th (Sunday). As the day approached, I went to Sobayoshi in Shinsaibashi in search of eel seiro, but they were temporarily closed due to issues with the air conditioning. So, I went to the Namba main store as Plan B. It was quite a walk from the station, especially in the hot weather. The interior of the store was cozy yet clean. I ordered the "premium eel seiro rice" for 3,168 yen, slightly more expensive than the same menu at the Shinsaibashi store for 2,600 yen. The eel seiro rice arrived, made with eel from China. Despite being Chinese eel, it looked delicious. The clear soup was also excellent. The eel steamed in the seiro was tender and easy to cut with chopsticks. The rice was generously topped with eel sauce. It melted in my mouth and was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. Since there was a lot of eel, it was served in a double layer. The eel was easy to cut with chopsticks. Double the deliciousness. The steaming in the seiro makes the eel tender, so as long as the sauce is good, I think even Chinese eel can be enjoyed. One of the staff mentioned that they were so busy this weekend that they felt like they were going to die. I can understand that feeling.

I visited around 11:50 am on a weekday. The restaurant was already full, so I had to wait for about 5 minutes before being seated. I ordered the Sobayoshi bento box, which comes with soba noodles. The bento box had a variety of small dishes, which I really enjoy. The minced cutlet was freshly fried and served with mayo, simmered sweet potatoes, rolled omelette, and pickles were all delicious. I chose cold soba noodles because it was a hot day. The soba noodles had crispy tempura flakes and plenty of wasabi, which made it very tasty. I was satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

◆Access It's about a little over a 10-minute walk from Namba Station, located between Okunicho and Namba. Right next to it is the famous Yasaka Shrine with a large lion statue. ◆Food At first glance, it may not seem cheap, but the portions are generous and the meals are substantial, so the cost performance is actually quite good. Each dish is carefully plated. They offer a slightly unusual old-fashioned sesame soba. It's hard to describe, but it's soba with a slightly different color. Not too thick, not too thin, personally I like it. ◆Service There are many elderly female staff members who provide attentive service. They always notice when you want to call them over. ◆Interior The spacious interior has an old-fashioned feel, and while it may be an old building, it doesn't give off a musty impression. It has the atmosphere of a traditional soba restaurant. ◆Customer base Perhaps due to the nearby shrine, you'll see many elderly couples and families. I've also seen what seemed like tourist group visitors, but it's never too crowded, yet it always seems to have customers.

The soba and eel seiro here are always delicious. Today, my mom ordered the eel seiro set and I had the daily bento box, which is also available on Sundays. It was a great deal at 980 yen, including soba noodles. I thought it was only available on weekdays, but it's nice to know they also offer it on Sundays.

This shop, which specializes in sesame soba noodles, is the main store with several locations. I visited during lunch on a weekday and it was very crowded. It may have been due to the flow of tourists visiting the Instagram-worthy Namba Hachisuka Shrine next door. This time, I ordered the duck meatball soba. The soba had a fairly dark color. I didn't notice any particular features, but it was just delicious. They have a variety of menu items such as soba hot pot courses and seiro rice, so sharing dishes could be a good idea.

Namba Hassaka Shrine, located next to a long-established soba restaurant that has been in business for nearly 50 years, feels just as historic as the shrine itself. I visited the restaurant at night, and the lighting made the place look even more majestic. I love spices and curry, and when I crave a curry with a strong dashi flavor, I find that curry soba is the quickest way to satisfy that craving. The Tempura Curry Soba with Small Shrimp Tempura (1,518 yen) is a curry soba that immediately fills the air with the scent of dashi. In my opinion, the star of the curry soba should be the dashi, not the curry, and this dish delivers on that preference with its aromatic curry soba. The soba noodles are likely made of 80% buckwheat flour and 20% wheat flour, and they absorb the flavorful curry well while retaining a texture typical of fresh noodles, satisfying even those who love soba. The ingredients, including light tempura and colorful vegetables that complement the dashi, are beautifully presented, and the large shrimp tempura included could easily be called "Large Shrimp Tempura" on the menu. I was surprised to see the curry soba served in a white bowl at a soba restaurant, but I think it's a blend of the historical charm of the establishment and its modern touch. I think it's a soba restaurant that combines tradition and innovation. (^ω^*) I'm also on Instagram @ginjirou.star

As usual, after work, I went to the reliable Sobayoshi. It was a bit cold that day, so I tried the hot pot udon for the first time at this restaurant. Even though I usually eat soba at this place, I ended up having udon. But this udon was different, as it seemed to be kneaded with mugwort. When I ate it in the hot pot, I couldn't really smell the mugwort, though.

This is a shop that I used to visit often since I was a child, back in the old days of the Showa era. When I look it up online and see that it is still in business, I feel nostalgic. It is located right next to Namba Shrine in Osaka. There is a parking lot next to the shop where about 6 cars can park, and even if it's full, they will refund you 300 yen if you park at a nearby coin parking and bring the receipt. The shop is quite spacious with counter seats, tatami seats, and table seats. I was seated at a table on the left side upon entering. I came here for their steamed rice dishes. They offer a variety of options such as mixed ingredients, salmon roe, eel, and seasonal chestnut. I ordered the Mixed Steamed Rice Set (1,606 yen) which came with shrimp tempura soba and salad. The steamed rice had minced meat, carrots, green peas, trefoil, shiitake mushrooms, and more, all steamed in a wooden steamer. It had a hint of yuzu fragrance. I used to love this dish and would often come here. I also ordered one for takeout. The soba came with shrimp and seaweed tempura. I also tried the Tempura Soba (1,848 yen) which came with two large shrimp tempura, seaweed, and shishito peppers. The seaweed tempura was crispy and delicious. The soba was served with sesame seeds in a small mortar, where you grind them and pour in the broth. The soba water was plentiful. My child ordered the Duck Curry Soba (1,408 yen), which had a light and spicy curry flavor. Despite not being close to the station, the shop was always busy with customers. It's surprising how it became so popular without me knowing. It's easy to get there by car, so I would like to visit again.

Sobayoshi Bento for 980 yen. This long-established restaurant, which opened in 1966, offers a well-balanced bento box with soba noodles and various toppings. The soba noodles are served cold or hot, with a focus on cooking and seasoning. The cold soba noodles are firm with a good texture and a delightful aroma when chewed. The flavorful dashi broth with bonito enhances the taste of the soba noodles. The bento box includes rice with furikake, simmered vegetables, salted mackerel, fish cake, curry croquette, shrimp tempura, and provides a satisfying meal. Despite being a weekday, the restaurant was bustling with customers, leaving a great impression. A place that brings happiness to you. Enjoy your meal!

I often go to this restaurant because it's only about a 3-minute drive from home and there is parking available. The soba noodles are not exceptionally delicious, but everything they serve is of good quality, which is why I like this place. They use good quality rice in particular. The service is excellent. Considering all of this, I think the cost performance is quite good. You can't see the kitchen, but you can easily imagine the chef cooking carefully behind the scenes.

I had been curious about it for a while, but I finally had the chance to stop by before a meeting the other day. The menu at Sobayoshi Honten offers a variety of soba dishes, including their famous Seiro-meshi, as well as value set menus. One thing that caught my eye was their weekly Friday-only special, the Sanpin Waritsugi Soba. It's a dream come true for soba lovers - all-you-can-eat soba with a variety of toppings. I also wanted to try their signature Sesame-cut Soba. The Sanpin Waritsugi Soba comes with tempura, nameko mushrooms, grated daikon radish, herring roe, yam, and more, allowing for various combinations to enjoy the restaurant's specialty soba. The soba itself is Sobayoshi's special sesame-cut soba, made with carefully selected buckwheat inherited from the temple soba of Daikouji in Rakuhoku, Kyoto. You pour the broth directly over the soba and enjoy it first plain, then with condiments and toppings. I didn't want to overeat just because it was all-you-can-eat, so I had 12 servings and was completely satisfied. As the weather gets hotter, it's a great time to enjoy Sobayoshi's Sanpin Waritsugi Soba, which allows you to enjoy cold soba with various toppings. It's only available on Fridays, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.

Next to the torii gate of Namba Yasaka Shrine, there is a soba restaurant. It gets crowded at lunchtime, but you can easily get in at night. I wanted to try the 80% buckwheat soba, but unfortunately they had run out for the day (sad face). After some hesitation, I decided to go with the duck tsukemen. I also ordered a five-ingredient soba to share. The soba comes in two layers in the seiro. They provided sesame seeds and yuzu pepper as condiments. I added all the sesame seeds and just a little yuzu pepper. The tsukemen had a slightly stronger flavor since it's meant for dipping. When you dip the soba in the broth, it's initially quite hot. It had plenty of duck and white onions, with a rich duck broth. The five-ingredient soba was served with two separate bowls for easy sharing. It was topped with finely chopped chicken mince, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, and more. After finishing the soba, I poured soba-yu (soba water) into the remaining broth. It reminded me of a soba restaurant I used to visit once a week in Kitahama, where you would walk in and immediately go up the stairs to the second floor to enjoy their sesame soba set. It's similar but slightly different. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited after visiting Yasaka Shrine during my Namba exploration at lunchtime. The menu had a wide variety of options, making it fun to choose. The soba with bonito tataki was very delicious. The staff was very polite, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm. This lovely restaurant and delicious soba helped me relax my tired body from exploring.

Yesterday's lunch was at Soba Yoshi Honten in Namba, Motomachi. I had the "Kaiun Soba" for 1298 yen, which came with shrimp tempura, fried tofu, and grated yam. It also had ingredients from Shojin cuisine and was topped with black sesame and sesame oil. I also tried the "Daikouji Soba" for 1408 yen, which came with grated yam. The noodles were beautifully presented with a variety of ingredients, making it delicious and enjoyable to eat. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere as well. #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch

In this area, it's rare to find a parking lot right next to the restaurant. Today, I ordered a warm soba and tempura set. The soba has a nice chewy texture and is delicious. The tempura is crispy and tasty, even though it's a bit heavy. I could eat it all day. The tempura sauce is also delicious. Overall, it's a soba restaurant that makes you want to come back again.

On holidays during the day, it can get quite crowded and sometimes even full. Since they have a lot of seats, I was able to get in after a short wait. I ordered the duck and green onion soba, which had plenty of duck and went well with the yuzu pepper, it was delicious. The soba portion was a bit generous for one person, and I was fully satisfied! The herring soba I had last time was also delicious. They also have all-you-can-eat soba, so I might go next time when I'm really hungry. If the price was a bit cheaper, I could give it more stars, but considering the price, the service is polite and you don't have to wait too long, I think it's a good restaurant.

For lunch with my wife. Oh, the impression is definitely "as expected". We had the tempura and rice bowl set and my wife had the assorted steamed set, and we were both very satisfied, just as the store's reputation suggested. The soba noodles had a nice texture (maybe about 50% buckwheat?), and the broth was incredibly flavorful. The seven-spice seasoning provided was to our liking, adding a nice kick after enjoying the broth. My wife found the steamed set to be nostalgic and very delicious, and she was very satisfied. The only downside was that we wished there was a bit more food, and the tempura and rice bowl had a lot of broth, which is just a matter of personal preference. Overall, considering the price, it was a very satisfying experience. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.
