This morning, I had breakfast at "mori cafe" in Higashiyodogawa. It is located in a residential area near the Yodogawa River, on the west side of the inner ring road. It's quite a distance from the nearest station, Dai Do Toyosato, if you walk. I had been working all night and was looking for a cafe open in the morning, so I stopped by on my walk. This place opens from 7 am, but it is not open at night. When you enter, you'll notice the spacious open kitchen and a wooden counter. There are also round table seats at the back. The interior is functional with a bright and calm atmosphere. It seems like the young owner is running the place alone. They were having a lively conversation with a regular customer. This morning, I chose the hot dog from the breakfast set menu and changed it to a cafe au lait since my stomach was feeling a bit off. The hot dog was very simple, using a juicy and delicious sausage. The salad was delicious and comforting. The marinated tomatoes were sweet with just the right amount of acidity, truly exquisite. I wanted to have seconds of just the salad even though it was a side dish. It seems like this place pays attention to vegetables and fruits, as there was a sign mentioning special autumn produce desserts. There was a display of carefully selected fruits near the register. I wonder if they are for sale. It would be nice to visit on a holiday afternoon for tea time and relax with some sweets and coffee. The cafe au lait was generous in portion and refreshing. I had been curious about Mori Cafe for a while, and decided to visit on a cold holiday. The place was crowded with mothers on bicycles during lunchtime. The interior was stylish and clean, appealing to both women and men. The warm wood counter added a nice touch, and the manager seemed very kind. I ordered the MORI Set Special Morning (¥1100 tax included) which came on a wooden plate. It included a green leaf salad, half-boiled eggs, two sliced wieners, a quarter of a tomato, thick buttered toast, yogurt with walnuts, and a vibrant orange. Additionally, you could choose a drink and a smoothie (banana or green). I chose hot tea and a green smoothie. The water in the glass surprised me - it was warm! The food was simple and delicious, with a good amount. The smoothie was banana-based and easy to drink. The warm water, warm toast, and warm tomato were a pleasant surprise. The hospitality and consideration in the meal were truly remarkable. I will definitely visit again.

Soon, more regulars arrived and started buying vegetables. I ended up buying some too, as the cafe sells high-quality seasonal vegetables. The French toast was fluffy and delicious, and the vegetables were fresh and flavorful. I learned a lot about vegetables and the cafe during my visit. The owner prefers word-of-mouth recommendations over online promotion. I look forward to returning to enjoy more vegetables and cafe treats!
