This day we had a long-awaited drinking session at Zaura. Even though it's Zaura, Ginza Chikin-san came to visit. It was quite crowded and we managed to get the last table. They had to turn away several groups as well. Perhaps it's because of the post-COVID situation. We ordered the Negi Shio as a quick menu item. It was brought to us quickly and it was delicious, with thin leeks mixed with sesame oil and salt. The warm potato salad was also good, with croquettes mashed on top. The rolled omelette was not the typical chain restaurant type, but homemade. And finally, the main dish - yakitori. We ordered one plate of salt and one plate of sauce. It was nothing special. Thank you for the meal. It was a lively restaurant, a nice change of pace!

Visited with colleagues, led by a coworker. Despite being located in the back of the old Kabuki theater, known as "Zaura," the restaurant is named "Ginza Gachi Chicken." Strangely, there was a Spider-Man figure at the entrance. We ordered the "negi mori," which consisted of thin leeks with sesame oil and salt. Surprisingly, it went well with alcohol. The chicken sashimi platter was fresh and delicious, even though I was a bit hesitant at first. The yakitori, especially the asparagus wrapped in pork, stood out from typical chain restaurants. The oolong tea was served in a ceramic cup instead of a glass, and it was a bit strong but I ended up drinking several cups. Overall, we had a great time enjoying delicious food and drinks.

Tonight, a cinema friend from Nagoya came to visit, so we decided to have a simple dinner together. We thought it wouldn't be too crowded on a Saturday night, but our first two choices were fully booked. So, we decided to try "Ginza Gachikichi" as it seemed to have available seats. We ordered a mixed skewer platter, a sashimi platter, and grilled edamame skewers. The skewers were delivered as soon as they were cooked, and they were full of flavor and delicious. The sashimi was not fish, but hormone, and it was well-prepared with a good texture. It was a long time since I had such delicious grilled chicken. It was a popular spot as it got busier throughout the night. The journey to the restaurant was worth it, and we left satisfied.

After finishing a slow overtime, I had some quick yakitori and chicken simmered in Chikuzen style at a seat in the back. The speed menu came with a generous serving of green onions, perfect for pairing with a refreshing beer. The white liver sashimi was slightly light on the fat but still delicious. The salt skewers with 5 pieces were well-cooked, and the back liver and tsukune arrived at just the right time. The atmosphere was lively with a young group, not very calm but the cooking was skillful, the prices were reasonable, overall a good restaurant.

After the live performance, I walked around the back streets of Namba to find a place to fill my hungry stomach. Unfortunately, all the good restaurants seemed to be packed. So, I decided to try Gachi Tori, a place I had never been to before! I was seated at the counter, where I felt the heat from the charcoal grill on my face, but I endured it and toasted with a beer! The appetizer was some kind of kimchi mixed with vegetables. Then, I had a refreshing salad with tofu and wasabi. For the main dish, I chose various types of grilled chicken skewers like seseri, wings, hearts, gizzards, and meatballs. The seseri was delicious! I especially loved dipping the meatballs in sauce and raw egg. The live atmosphere of the grill right in front of me added to the fun of the meal! It was a great way to enjoy drinks after the live performance. Thank you for the delicious meal!

My last dinner with my friend Yas (crying). We chose the area called "Zaura," which I recently learned about on TV. There are more and more hidden areas in Osaka. Within Zaura, we chose a place called "Gachitori," which was also featured on local TV. We arrived around 5:30 pm and seemed to be the first customers. The sight of the yakitori being grilled right in front of us was irresistible. We ended up ordering some. The chicken sashimi was also delicious. However, overall, it was just average. The restaurant lacked a bit of punch, I would say. Unfortunately, the famous Matsuba chicken nuggets featured on TV were a bit dry and had too many small bones, making them difficult to eat. It wasn't even that cheap. I regret not ordering the original "Negi Mori."

After leaving the lively standing sushi bar in Namba Nankai Street, my buddy and I decided to stop by "just one more place." Of course, it never ends with just one place. We were already quite tipsy due to the fast pace, so we didn't feel like searching or deciding on a place. We just randomly walked into a restaurant based on its appearance. Inside, there were two waitresses, one who seemed clueless and another who was energetic and efficient, along with one guy in the kitchen. Since we had enough sake at the previous place, we opted for a refreshing highball to start. The highball was very weak, but it served as a good chaser for me in my current state. For food, we ordered the original leek platter, Ginza chicken (salted), and Ran-oh tsukune with baguette. The leek platter was recommended by the efficient waitress and turned out to be surprisingly addictive. The leeks were crunchy and well-seasoned with sesame oil and salt. The Ginza chicken was large and satisfying, with fatty and flavorful meat. The Ran-oh tsukune with baguette was a bit confusing for us, as it was basically meatballs with bread. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would like to come back to try more of their skewers and rare sake. Cheers!

This is a yakitori restaurant that opened about a year ago in the neighborhood. The area is quite competitive when it comes to yakitori restaurants! I walked in without a reservation, but there were seats available at the counter. The prices are reasonable overall, and the menu is quite extensive. The staff, initially two people (later three), were friendly. The young female staff member was efficient, friendly, and really lovely. She even accommodated my special requests with a smile. I would definitely visit again if she is working. As for the food, it was good overall, especially the dishes prepared by the female staff member. Towards the end, when the manager came out, the quality improved. The soy sauce used was on the sweeter side, so having a regular soy sauce option would be nice. Also, it would be great if they could confirm the presence of sansho pepper, as it is essential for yakitori. The restroom was well-stocked with amenities like cotton swabs and gum, showing thoughtfulness towards customers. Overall, thanks to the female staff member, I had a great experience. I look forward to coming back for a delicious guava chu-hai (laughs).

This is a yakitori restaurant located behind the old Kabuki theater in Namba. I had been curious about this place when I visited PIENO. First, I tried the white liver sashimi. I love white liver so I had high expectations, but it was a bit disappointing as there was less white color than expected. Nonetheless, it was fresh, tender, and delicious without any unpleasant smell. It was served with plenty of ginger and wasabi, along with a separate dish of rock salt and sweet soy sauce for dipping. It would have been even better with sesame oil. Next, I had grilled skewers of seseri with salt and kokoro with salt. They were served with the usual green yuzu pepper and red yuzu pepper, which I love. The meat was tender and tasty. The grated yam sticks were prepared in a sweet miso and sesame sauce, giving them a delicious flavor. The potato salad was quite unique, with bacon and mashed potatoes stir-fried together, and a crispy coating similar to a croquette. It didn't taste much like mayonnaise, more like eating the filling of a croquette. It was a generous portion and filled me up quickly. I wanted to try more skewers, but I was already full after this meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

I wanted to eat something close by, so I decided to go to Zaura for some yakitori! It was a new place for me to try out. There were two groups already seated at the counter when I arrived, so I sat down by myself. Let's get started! I ordered a draft beer and was served by a waitress with dyed hair who seemed a bit unsure. I ordered the white liver and it was delicious! I also tried the hinadori, but without the mayo. The appetizer was quail with plenty of mayonnaise on top, which seemed a bit excessive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not very welcoming, as there was little interaction between customers and the shy chef. Overall, the prices were reasonable, but additional charges like the appetizer and tax added up. It was not a very enjoyable experience dining alone, as the lack of conversation and awkward interactions made it feel uncomfortable. I observed the same level of service with other customers as well. It felt a bit off. Time to move on to the next restaurant!

I went to this restaurant after reading a blogger's article about it. It is located in the back and to the north. There are two entrances, one on the bus stop side. I was seated at a table by the counter, where I was surprised to see four bottles of Moriizou lined up by the window. There was one man and two women working there. When I asked the grilling staff if they had shirako sashimi, they said they didn't. I ordered a draft beer, Kirin Ichiban, and skewers of seseri, kokoro, segimo, and zuri. They didn't ask if I wanted salt or sauce, which was unusual. They grill the skewers individually, which is convenient even for one person. The most expensive drink on the menu is Moriizou for 2000 yen. They also offer popular sake like Dassai, Juyondai, and local sake. While waiting for the skewers, I snacked on the appetizer. The man was in charge of cooking everything, so he wasn't focused on grilling. The first three skewers arrived, and then after a long wait, the rest came. The flavors were good, but overall, it was a satisfying meal.

<First visit: 02/17/2016> We visited this restaurant as a family of three because there was a good deal on Groupon. The first dish that came out was the "Negi (green onion) piled high," which was simply green onions sprinkled with sesame oil and salt. It was surprisingly spicy, but went well with drinks. Next was the "Potato salad (?) piled high," which made us wonder if we could finish everything. Then came the "Chicken Nanban piled high," which was delicious but our stomachs were starting to reach their limit at this point. Lastly, we received the "Assorted yakitori," but we had to pack it up to take home. Overall, it was a pretty tasty restaurant.
