I came back to enjoy the lunch I received last time with my lord at Hyatt because I wanted to see the later period of Kyoto Museum's exhibition. If I'm going to Kyoto Museum, I think Sette at Hyatt is the best choice. It's a popular restaurant even during the pandemic, so I made sure to make a reservation. Just like last time, I ordered the lunch set with pizza and pasta to share because the friendly staff recommended it. You can choose between soup or salad. Of course, I wanted to try both, so we shared them! The salad was satisfying with a variety of ingredients like green leaf, red onion, carrot, cauliflower, tomato, mizuna, pomegranate, olive, and cheese. It was my first time having a salad with pomegranate seeds! They made it fruity and delicious. The soup was minestrone, full of vegetables but without tomatoes. It was rare to see potatoes in minestrone, but it brought out the flavor of the vegetables nicely. The pasta was olive and anchovy in a tomato sauce, which I was craving. The pasta was chewy and seemed like fresh pasta. The perfect al dente texture allowed the sauce to coat it well, and it was just to my liking! The pizza was tomato and tuna, and you could see the pizza oven from your seat, adding a lively atmosphere. The pizza crust was perfectly baked, with a crispy and fragrant edge. It was a traditional style of crust. My lord had coffee, and I had tea, but even the after-drinks were satisfying and not neglected. The staff was friendly throughout, asking us how everything was and creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I would love to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

My son was on a school trip and I wanted to eat udon in the udon prefecture, but everyone hesitated. My mother suggested going to Kyoto to see the autumn leaves, so we decided to go. We thought of having lunch at a restaurant recommended by my mother called Locanda, but it was closed on Mondays. Since my mother had an Italian taste, we asked the GuruNavi app for recommendations and made a reservation. We made an early reservation, so before heading to the restaurant, we made a detour to Imamiya Shrine. The restaurant could be entered from an outside staircase, but we were also guided to climb a spiral staircase from the first floor to enter the restaurant. We were seated by the window, which was lovely. My mother ordered an Italian beer, and I asked for a lemonade soda. We chose a set menu where we could choose between soup or salad, along with pizza or pasta, and coffee or tea after the meal. We ordered one soup and one salad, as well as one pasta and one pizza. When asked if we wanted them to be divided, we said yes, and to our surprise, they brought the salad, soup, and pasta divided in half! Even the pasta! We were so impressed by the excellent service. We wanted to order dessert, but we were so full that there was no space left in our stomachs. The staff was smiling and friendly throughout. When we were asked if we were satisfied, I mentioned that I wanted to have dessert but couldn't fit it in because I was so satisfied. The staff kindly said that we could enjoy dessert next time when we have space in our stomachs. The staff were all smiling and wonderful. They offer a 3-hour parking service, and they even guided us to the nearby staircase that leads to a walk around the area. We visited Yo-gen-in, which is said to have a seal from Asai Nagamasa. We received a seasonal limited edition seal with many other seals. We enjoyed a nice walk, delicious lunch, and were very satisfied with our visit.

We went on a family trip to Kyoto after a long time. After visiting Sanjusangendo, we went to this restaurant we had reserved. The interior of the restaurant was very bright and had a pleasant layout. Being a hotel restaurant, the staff's service was excellent and made us feel comfortable. We had 2 appetizers, 4 pasta dishes, 1 pizza, and dessert, and although we ate a bit too much, everything tasted delicious with different flavors including the sauces! The cherry blossoms were also beautiful!

The set plan was unclear, and confirming the reservation plan required a lot of effort. It was quite unpleasant to have kitchen staff leaning on the counter and staring at the dining area. When leaving, only the staff who provided service acknowledged us. The Hyatt Regency should improve employee training. The food was good.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency and dined there. I ordered the assorted appetizers, non-alcoholic cocktail, Siciliana pizza, mushroom cream sauce pasta, while my companion had the vongole linguine and seafood pasta. We also had a bottle of wine (around 12,000 yen), a bottle of peach juice. I had informed them in advance about my dietary restrictions, and they accommodated my request with a special menu. The appetizer assortment was delicious, especially the marinated green peas and tomato stew with honeycomb. The main dishes such as slow-roasted lamb, sea bream, and bruschetta with eggplant were varied and satisfying. The bread assortment was generous and tasty, especially the tomato-topped bread. Unfortunately, they didn't have carbonara, but the staff suggested a mushroom cream sauce pasta instead, which was delicious. The Sicilian pizza was flavorful without needing extra seasoning. Although the prices were on the higher side, the portions were ample and the staff was attentive to our requests. I hope they will add more white sauce pasta options in the future. I also bought cookies from the bakery next to the front desk, which were incredibly delicious.

Located a 6-8 minute walk from Shichijo Station, Italian Trattoria Sette at Hyatt Regency Kyoto is a high-class Italian restaurant situated on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. It was selected as one of the top 100 Italian restaurants in the west in 2021. The restaurant is popular among hotel guests, and though the prices are a bit high, the charming atmosphere unique to a hotel is a highlight. I tried the Pranzo lunch course, which includes soup, pasta, bread, and tea. You can customize the course by adding a different pasta or dessert for an additional cost. The pasta dish I had combined tomato sauce with fettuccine, and it was elegant and delicious. The aroma of grilled eggplant, the richness of pancetta, and the creamy tomato sauce with plenty of cheese all came together beautifully. If you're looking to indulge in Italian cuisine in a sophisticated setting, this restaurant is perfect. I highly recommend visiting. Thank you for the meal!

This is an Italian restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto, part of the Food Log Italian Top 100 Restaurants tour. When visiting Kyoto, one might think of trying Kyoto cuisine, but my family wanted to enjoy some regular Italian or ramen. For dinner in Kyoto, we went to the restaurant in the hotel where we were staying. The restaurant is located on the first floor, and you climb up a spiral staircase from the main lobby, giving it a stylish exterior. The atmosphere inside is lively and feels like a casual Italian restaurant, which is nice! While they offer course meals, we decided to order a la carte. We had an assortment of appetizers, Coppa, Vongole, Margherita pizza, Genovese pasta, and roasted Oyama chicken. Each dish was shared among the three of us, so we didn't have to worry about dividing it up, which was great service. All the dishes were delicious, but the pizza was especially amazing. It had a crispy yet chewy crust, and you could tell the chef was skilled as a member of the Japan Naples Pizza Artisan Association. The roasted Oyama chicken, with both breast and thigh meat, was cooked perfectly moist and tender, showing the chef's skill in cooking. The flavor was well-balanced with a nice salty taste that enhanced the deliciousness of the chicken. However, I do think that restaurants should separate areas for families with children and adults.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant on a holiday night. The assorted appetizers were good. The pizza had a thicker crust than I expected and I wasn't very hungry, so the portion was too much for me. I wanted to try the minestrone soup instead of the pizza.

The pasta was really delicious! I want to eat it again. I also ordered Quattro Formaggi. I was waiting for the honey to be brought to me, but it didn't come for a while. I didn't want the pizza to get cold, so I tried eating one slice without it, but I felt that honey was essential, so I urged the staff to bring it out again. I enjoyed it while pouring the honey from the cute bottle. Quattro Formaggi definitely goes well with honey. It was delicious! I was happy that they brought it out in a shareable container.

I occasionally use the ¥6,000 Premium Pomodoro course + ¥1,000 hotel stay by myself. I have tried all the pasta dishes including room service, but the Premium Pomodoro is by far the most delicious. Adding ¥1,000 to the course price may seem like a lot for just pasta in a normal restaurant, but it is definitely worth it. The sauce is full of the flavor of tomatoes, and although I have tried many pasta dishes before, this might be my favorite. I recommend trying the Premium Pomodoro without hesitation, even if it costs an extra thousand yen.

This might have been the best meal I've had recently. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto and decided to dine at the restaurant. I went with my sister for an Italian meal. We ordered the following: - Durum Semolina Short Pasta Caramarata - Roasted Oyama Chicken - Minestrone - Today's fresh fish carpaccio - Caprese salad - Assorted bread - Tiramisu We didn't go for a set course, but instead ordered a la carte. Each dish was beautifully presented for the two of us. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. The pasta had a wonderful seafood and fresh tomato aroma. The roasted chicken was juicy and not dry at all, very delicious. Perhaps it's the specialty of this restaurant? The minestrone was also very tasty, not the usual bright red color but a soup that brought out the natural flavors of the vegetables. The drinks included Italian beer, which had a great aroma and taste. It was so delicious that I will definitely be coming back. The restaurant at the hotel is not too expensive and is a convenient option for dining.

I finally had the chance to visit Trattoria Sette! I've been wanting to go there for a while now! It's a casual Italian restaurant located inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kyoto! I chose to dine there because I was staying at the Hyatt that day and wanted to have a meal in the hotel! It seems like non-guests can also dine there, and even on a weekday, it was almost full! It's a popular place! The dishes I ordered that day were: - Roast chicken with rosemary potatoes - Caprese salad - Today's fresh fish carpaccio - Minestrone soup - Durum semolina short pasta (Caramellata) - Tiramisu The roast chicken was very tender and perfectly cooked, paired well with the rosemary potatoes! The popular minestrone soup was cooked until the vegetables were soft and easy to eat, with a simple and delicious taste that made me want to have more! The staff even offered to serve each dish separately so that we could both enjoy them individually, showing great attention to detail, which made me feel like I was dining at a hotel restaurant! We had a couple of drinks and the total bill was around 14,000 yen, which was a great value for the quality of food we received! Everything was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the lunch short course (3,100 yen) with oolong tea at the branch. The course includes soup (or salad), pasta, and coffee (or black tea). Depending on the pasta you choose, there may be an additional charge. I opted for the Tagliatelle with Minestrone and Beef Ragu (+350 yen). The coffee was decent, but considering the price, I felt that a bit more value could be added. The service was not as good as my previous visit for lunch, but I could tell they were attentive to the customers. I was surprised to see that there were many non-hotel guests dining there.

Italian restaurant within the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. I used it while staying at the hotel. I had the seasonal recommended course menu (11,500 yen including tax) and also went with the easy suggestion of the restaurant for a rose drink, G Franciacorta (rose) x 2 (2,300 yen per glass). The menu included: First bonito tartare (with horseradish), rapeseed blossoms and firefly squid tagliolini (with sakura shrimp and bottarga), sakura sea bream and clam vapor (with mung bean puree and clam soup), fillet meat marinated with sakura leaves, and dessert (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, apple, orange, etc.) with coffee. The bonito could have been of better quality. The tagliolini was good, with the saltiness of sakura shrimp and bottarga balanced well. The sea bream was a bit dry, perhaps overcooked. The combination of fillet meat and sakura leaves was a bit questionable, but the cooking was not bad. I requested a fruit dessert instead. The flexibility in accommodating my request was appreciated. While there were some doubts about the quality of ingredients and cooking, the service was consistently high-level and the restaurant offered good value for being in a hotel. However, compared to decent restaurants in the city, the taste and value may fall short.

Located in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Higashiyama Shichijo, Kyoto, across from the National Museum, is a casual Italian restaurant called Trattoria Sette. Despite being a high-end hotel, this restaurant offers a relatively casual and easy-going dining experience. They have a variety of pizza and pasta options on their a la carte menu, in addition to set courses. The service is excellent and the staff ensures that all necessary safety measures are in place, making guests feel at ease. I visited for a light a la carte dinner after a heavy lunch. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, you can make a reservation as an outside guest. We ordered four dishes to share among three people, which was just the right amount. We started with the Sette salad, a green salad with lettuce, romaine lettuce, various greens, carrots, pumpkin, and black olives. It was quite generous in portion, and they were thoughtful enough to serve it in three separate plates. The Caprese salad, consisting of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, was also delicious. The quality of the mozzarella was exceptional. The Chef's pasta of the day was black sesame flat noodles with chicken, cabbage sprouts, and tomatoes. It was healthy but had a slightly unique taste. The other pasta dish, Pomodoro with hand-cut tagliatelle, had a nice texture and a delicious tomato sauce. Including drinks, the budget per person was around 3000 yen. We skipped the main course and dessert this time, but I look forward to trying their full course meal next time. Overall, I think it's a valuable find to have such a convenient dining option within a hotel setting.

Along the Shichijo Street, there is a dining establishment at Hyatt Regency Kyoto called Trattoria Sette. It is rare for a hotel restaurant to have a reputation for their stone oven-baked pizzas, and they have been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. During the day, it has a casual atmosphere with mostly lunchtime customers, but it becomes more elegant as the evening approaches. The cylindrical object in the photo is the pizza oven. You can enjoy a view of the illuminated garden from the windows, creating a lovely ambiance. Chef Maki Doshita, originally from Kyoto, honed his skills at Italian restaurants in Kyoto for many years and also excelled as a pizza craftsman. He has been in charge of the kitchen at this restaurant since 2007 and became the head chef in 2019. I stopped by intending to have a quick bite a la carte, but they surprised me with an amuse-bouche. It consisted of bruschetta with ham and another with cod (brandade?). The refreshing saltiness accelerates the consumption of the foam. We shared a pasta dish, and the portion was unexpectedly generous. The deliciousness of the tagliatelle itself, combined with the delicate flavor of shredded chicken and the bold aroma of porcini mushrooms, was a perfect match. Their Margherita pizza, which we also shared, is a true Neapolitan pizza that is delicious down to the last bite. The gooey mozzarella cheese enhances the enjoyment of eating it. The mushroom and sausage pizza was also excellent, with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on top of skillfully made dough. The flavors were universally loved. The bread was also well-made, and I particularly enjoyed the tomato focaccia. High-quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar were provided, making it a satisfying dish on its own. Additionally, the pricing of the meals is surprisingly affordable. Pizzas range from 1,400 yen including tax, which is a rare bargain for a hotel restaurant globally. It's much cheaper than PST in Azabu, Tokyo. They also offer takeout, so I recommend it to those who live or work nearby. I look forward to trying their set course menu on my next visit.

Hyatt Regency Kyoto's Italian restaurant has a high rating of 3.64 on Tabelog (as of January 24, 2022). I visited the restaurant on a whim during my stay. I ordered the recommended pasta and oolong tea. After the meal, I also had some tea. In addition to bread, guests staying at the hotel are also served two types of bruschetta as a complimentary dish. The pasta I had was the Taliatelle with shredded chicken. The distinct flavor of the chicken and the well-balanced saltiness made the dish very enjoyable. I even felt like having some wine. The service was excellent, probably the best I've experienced among the restaurants I visited last year. The staff paid attention to small details and even cleaned up with a dustpan, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. Despite the great service, I could only afford to add a cup of tea after my early dinner that day. I promised myself to have a proper meal there next time I stay. The total cost was 3,900 yen, which is understandable for ordering a la carte at a hotel restaurant. For those concerned about the price, I recommend checking out the lucky bags sold at the beginning of the year. The contents may vary each year, but this year, there was a voucher available for this restaurant (50% off the meal cost, I think?). They sell out quickly, and I now regret not buying one.

Before staying at the hotel, I had the following two dishes at 1:30 PM! 1. Lobster Zuppa di Pesce 2. Durum Semolina Short Pasta Caramarata 1. A pie-like pizza with tomato, lobster, seafood, and olives 2. A Pescaotore-style dish with tomato and seafood Both were delicious! Lastly, I will enjoy the Tiramisu from the display case in my room.

In Kyoto, the ancient capital, I always feel like going to Japanese restaurants. But delicious food is not only Japanese cuisine, right? Here, in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, there is an Italian restaurant. You can enter directly from the main street. The atmosphere is somewhat casual. The service is top-notch, as expected from a hotel. It's elegant. Let's go for the lunch set for 3,100 yen. It includes a salad or soup, today's pasta or pizza, and a drink after the meal. My husband's salad is a large portion and looks very delicious. My soup is Minestrone, which also tastes good. When I asked if we could share the pasta, they kindly served it separately. The pasta with octopus and black olive tomato sauce with horseradish flavor is packed with the deliciousness of octopus. It's so tasty! On the other hand, the fresh pasta with chicken leg meat and turnip fettuccine is soft and tender. Maybe it would have been better if the order was reversed. The portion is a bit small, and I thought about adding dessert, but we had a dinner reservation at a restaurant where we could expect good food, so I passed. I chose herbal tea for my drink. It's served in a pot, and it's a gentle tea that seems good for the body. Now, shall we head to the Kyoto National Museum across the street? (On rainy days, museums, art galleries, and arcade streets. If you have any other good sightseeing spots in Kyoto, please let me know!)

Italian restaurant inside the Kyoto Hyatt Regency Hotel. I have stayed at this hotel about 40 times in the past, and have dined here a few times as well. It seems to have been selected as a top restaurant, so I decided to visit again after a long time. The hotel itself is quiet, and the restaurant was not crowded. There are not many dining options around this area, so when it's inconvenient to go out, I either dine here or order room service. I have never found this place to be exceptionally delicious, just standard Italian fare. This time, I had the carbonara as a single dish. The carbonara has a rich flavor, but it pairs well with the thick tagliatelle pasta.

Today's recommendation is an Italian restaurant that impressed me with its delicious dough. It was so tasty that I couldn't help but exclaim "the dough is delicious!" with every bite. "Trattoria Sette" is located at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. The hotel is located in front of the Kyoto National Museum. Inside the restaurant, there is a special Napoli oven where they bake pizzas. It's great to have a pizza oven in a hotel restaurant. I ordered the lunch set. The "Pranzo" set allows you to choose from dry pasta, fresh pasta, or pizza as the main dish, along with a choice of salad or soup, and coffee or tea. Dessert, tiramisu, is available at an additional cost. The table was equipped with alcohol disinfectant wipes and a mask case with a mask inside. They recommend wearing masks when not eating, and the mask provided was a nice touch. There were also thick paper napkins with a fork and knife sandwiched between them. I opted for the soup, which was a vegetable-filled soup with a gentle flavor. The main dish was fresh pasta with bacon and mushroom tomato sauce on tagliatelle pasta. The pasta was deliciously chewy. We also shared a pizza - tuna and young corn pizza with stretchy cheese. The unique texture of the young corn added a summery touch, and the dough was exceptionally tasty. The coffee came with a surprise matcha cookie, and I couldn't resist adding the tiramisu to my order. It was incredibly delicious! Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal.

I had chosen the Hyatt Regency Hotel near the Kyoto National Museum to pass the time before dinner. The Italian restaurant at the hotel is not only known for its ambiance and excellent service, but it has also been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. I had wanted to try their lunch menu, but I haven't been eating much lately, so I ended up just having a cake set at the museum cafe. The "Treasures of Kyoto" exhibition was so captivating that time flew by, and before I knew it, it was closing time (5 pm). However, I had some time before dinner, so I decided to stop by the cafe. The entrance to the restaurant is convenient, accessible from both the hotel lobby and the museum side. The atmosphere inside is casual, but the service is outstanding. It's the quality you would expect from a top-notch hotel, which made me feel at ease. I only purchased a small souvenir for home, but it was a relaxing experience. The cakes had a classic taste that was comforting, typical of a hotel. I look forward to trying their lunch menu next time.
