Sukiya Higashiosaka Hiyayonishi Store @ Higashiosaka City Hiyayonishi Blog ⇒ The everyday meals of an old man from Kawachi, sometimes alcohol. It is about 11 minutes walk from Kawachiosaka Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line, [Sukiya Higashiosaka Hiyayonishi Store]. Do you use beef bowl chain stores? Many women may be hesitant, but I quite like them and eat them quite often. My favorite chain is overwhelmingly Yoshinoya, but according to a LINE Research announced in February this year... 1st place Sukiya 34.1% 2nd place Yoshinoya 27.3% 3rd place Matsuya 10.7% 4th place Nakau less than 10% Surprisingly, Sukiya has taken the top spot. The research targeted men and women aged 15-64, with 23.1% saying they do not use them... ( *¯ㅿ¯*) Wow, I found a secret menu at Sukiya... the King Size Gyudon~ What's that? ε٩( ˙◊˙ )۶з I have to go challenge that... but the opponent is a tough one, with rice 2.5 times and meat 6 times more than the regular size...(°∀°ⅲ)I thought it would be embarrassing if I couldn't eat it, so I decided to practice with the Mega Size first. The Mega Size is 1.4 times the rice and 3 times the meat of the regular size, making it exactly half of the King Size. The store I chose is located at the corner of Higashiosaka Hiyayonishi 6-chome intersection along Prefectural Route 702 Osaka Hirakata Nara Line. It was the closest store to the hair salon I visited for the first time. I visited on February 11th, and there were still splash prevention panels for COVID. Even Matsuya now uses tablet ordering. The reservation time for the hair salon is less than 20 minutes, but... as planned, I ordered the Mega Size. ◆ Beef Bowl (Mega Size) 850 yen It arrived in about 2 minutes after ordering... Ohhh (゚ロ゚*) But at this point, there are only 17 minutes left until the hair salon reservation time. Assuming 10 minutes for travel, I have about 7 minutes to eat... σ(^_^;)? Anyway, let's dig in. According to the official website, the specs for the Mega Size are... 360g of rice, 255g of meat, and 1458kcal. By the way, the regular size is... 260g of rice, 85g of meat, and 733kcal. Despite the lack of time, the ritual of eating beef bowl. The ritual of burying red pickled ginger is essential... haha Let me explain! The ritual of burying red pickled ginger is the ultimate technique of stuffing red pickled ginger into the hole opened in the beef bowl! By doing so, you can get a large amount of red pickled ginger without looking like you took a lot. It's a technique for getting a lot of red pickled ginger! The sweet and savory sauce with tender beef and the sweetness of the onions. The meat at Sukiya is cut quite thick, so it has a satisfying texture. Also, the onions are thickly sliced, so you can taste the sweetness quite strongly. The ratio of onions to meat is high, so that might be a point of contention. I finished it in 5 minutes~ The Mega Size, which is 1.4 times the rice and 3 times the meat of the regular size for 850 yen, is cost-effective. The King Size is apparently double the Mega Size, but... if it's like this, it's probably a piece of cake... (๑ˊ͈ ꇴ ˋ͈)ウンウン The only downside is... I'm not a big fan of the taste of beef bowls or red pickled ginger... ( ̄▽ ̄;) After all, when it comes to beef bowls, Yoshinoya is my favorite... I tried the Gyudon (beef bowl) from Sukiya, which is famous for its commercials featuring Satomi Ishihara. The Gyudon looked delicious in the commercial, but it exceeded my expectations in taste! Normally, Gyudon consists of beef and onions, but by making it into Sukiyaki, you can enjoy plenty of vegetables, which is a great bonus! Sukiya's Gyudon with various toppings makes me look forward to new menu items that no one has thought of yet in the future!

#Chicken Soboro Rice Bowl #Holoholo Chicken June 2022 Recently, when I'm in trouble, I jump into "Sukiya" restaurant. As a fan of Yoshigyu, I order something other than beef bowl. Chicken Soboro Rice Bowl ¥390 - Seriously? So cheap! Holoholo Chicken ¥300 - Spicy chicken curry with chicken leg, nice! I've been a big fan of Holoholo Chicken for a while. I also love chicken soboro. The menu here is so diverse and helpful. It was delicious. Thank you!

This looks absolutely delicious❗ And it's cheap❗ So, I decided to visit❗⭐Chicken Curry ¥680⭐Raw Egg ¥60⭐Kimchi ¥130I added some spiciness with kimchi❗ And made it milder with a raw egg... This is the classic Osaka curry❗ Oh, it has Worcestershire sauce❗ That's it❗ The chicken is amazing❗ So tender❤ The curry is not skimping on flavor❗ Truly❗ Yoshinoya really knows what they're doing❗ Just like how they serve two raw eggs with their beef sukiyaki, it's satisfying❗ The topping of red onions is delicious too❗ Hearty❗ Satisfied A creamy chicken curry with a whole chicken leg on top❗ It was delicious❗ Thank you for the meal❤️

If you don't eat here now, you might struggle with dinner later. The dilemma... Thankfully, there is a parking lot here! We ordered the following: - Spicy cod roe and mayo beef bowl (light) - Extra meat - Healthy set (¥850) - Beef bowl (regular size) - Miso soup and salad set (¥650) Just grateful to be able to eat.

Before I knew it, it was late at night. In times like these, I ordered the following: - Gyudon (regular size) with clam soup and egg set (¥570) - Omgyukare (regular size) (¥790) (1022kcal) I decided to try the Omgyukare. The sweetness of the egg, the richness of the beef, and the moderate spiciness of the curry... It's hard to say they harmonize perfectly. It's more like savoring each flavor separately. I was surprised by the calorie intake.

As I was looking at the menu, I felt like having some oyakodon (rice bowl with chicken and egg), grilled salmon, and natto (fermented soybeans). Since the set meal also came with miso soup and pickles, I decided to order the salmon and natto set meal. The natto didn't have a strong smell or taste, and even people from Kansai would enjoy it. It was delicious on its own, but even better with a squeeze of soy sauce and mustard. Adding some green onions made it even tastier. For the oyakodon, some people prefer to mix soy sauce with the rice first and then add the egg on top, but I personally liked adding the egg first and then drizzling soy sauce.

The rice, miso soup, and potato salad are also good, making it a simple and satisfying breakfast set. ▼Impressions▼ (September 2018) Sukiya, operated by Zensho which has various food chains, is the largest gyudon chain in Japan. They offer a wide variety of gyudon options at affordable prices compared to other chains. Nakau, another gyudon chain, is also under the Zensho umbrella. This was my first visit to the Higashiosaka Hiyoshi Nishi branch. I tried the Saba Asa Meshi for breakfast this time. While the flavors were as expected, Sukiya's affordability and overall portion size make it a good choice for breakfast. I would like to visit again for breakfast or lunch in the future.

I was able to enter the shop easily, with a counter and tables available even for solo diners. I heard they have diet menus, so I tried out Sukiya for the first time. I ordered the beef bowl, but instead of rice, it came with tofu, cabbage, and meat. The taste was light and delicious, and the price was reasonable. The bowl came out quickly after ordering, and it was satisfying.

<First Visit in November 2016> It was a weekday afternoon and I didn't have much time, so I stopped by this place. They have a parking lot, which is convenient. They also have a drive-thru. The interior is not very big, with about 10 counter seats and 10 small tables for two. Unfortunately, the cleanliness could be improved. We ordered the following: - Beef bowl with miso soup and egg set (regular) (¥490) - Beef bowl with green onions and egg set with extra beef (medium) (¥630) When we ordered the set with an extra egg, they kindly switched it to an extra beef bowl for us. This place is convenient when you're short on time.

I felt like trying the limited-time "Gyusuki Nabe" at Sukiyakiya. It's the season when rival companies also release limited-time hot pot dishes. Finally, it's starting to feel like winter, so I decided to try it. I went at night when there weren't many customers, which was a good timing to order (it's hard to order when it's crowded). After a while, it arrived. It seemed like it needed to be boiled before eating. It contained meat, cabbage, carrots, tofu x1, shiitake mushrooms, and udon noodles. There were also eggs, rice, and pickles. When I ate it, the taste was a bit strong. I dipped the egg in the sukiyaki sauce and ate it like a tamago-don. It became milder and tasted good. I think I'll try eating it this way again this winter.

Limited time only beef bowl like! I was drawn to the name "Okonomi Gyudon" and my curious old man's heart was excited to know what it was all about!
