Fukuoka City, Hakata-ku, Hakata Ekimae 3-chome area - a 6-minute walk from JR Hakata Station! This "Tenkaippin" is a ramen chain operated by Tenkaippin Shokuhin Shoji Co., Ltd., originating in Kyoto and expanding to over 230 stores nationwide! The new "Kotteri MAX," evolved from the previous "Super Rich" ramen, has been available at all stores since 6/12, so I decided to visit. It was lunchtime on a weekday! Due to the shortage of staff, there was a restriction on the number of customers entering the Hakata Ekimae store - more than half of the store was closed, and they did not force customers to wait unnecessarily, which I think is commendable! The entrance had a sign saying "Due to staff shortage..." and many customers who realized the long wait time decided to give up and leave. When entering, instead of the usual menu, there was a limited menu due to the shortage of staff, cutting out menu items that could cause delays or affect service time - a policy that I believe is commendable! It's common for businesses to prioritize increasing sales and try to force the staff to operate as usual, but this seems to be a policy to maintain the integrity of the "Tenkaippin" brand. The previous special bowl was "Jet Black," but this time, the special bowl was bright red! The bowl and the ladle both had "Tenkaippin's Strongest Richness Ever" printed on them! You can feel the strong attachment to Tenkaippin. First, let's start with the soup - delicious! Compared to the previous "Super Rich" ramen, I didn't feel like the richness was increased, but the quality of the soup is still amazing! The soup, made with chicken bones and over 10 types of vegetables, has a deep umami flavor that intensifies as you eat - once again, the "Super Rich MAX" soup did not disappoint. The noodles have a slightly higher water content, making them perfect for soaking up the soup! I ate them with a mix of slurping and chewing! I added some garlic and spicy condiments from the table for flavor variation and finished every last bit. If there are any future events, I would love to visit again - thank you for the meal. I tried the "Kotteri MAX" ramen✨️ It's what I think of as tonkotsu ramen. It was so rich that I almost mistook it for pork bone chawanmushi. Noodles, whether udon, soba, or ramen, are usually priced in the three-digit range, so I was surprised that the "Kotteri MAX" was around 1190 yen for a regular size. It's expensive, but the taste is worth it.

I tried the long-awaited "Tenkaippin Kotteri MAX" lunch set (with small rice) for 1260 yen. As rumored, it was incredibly thick. It made the previously considered thick soups seem thin in comparison. However, the flavor of the thick soup was rich enough to be enjoyed without feeling too heavy. The unique seasoning that goes well with white rice is a combination that only Tenkaippin can offer. I truly felt that Tenkaippin is delicious. It was a satisfying lunch.

It was a business trip to Hakata. I went to Tenkaippin near the hotel. I used to go to the Tenkaippin Sendai store a lot when I was a student. It was a nostalgic taste. As expected, it was rich and the soup was thick with vegetables melted in it, which might be a bit too heavy for my uncle. But it's a taste I want to have once in a while.

I remembered when SUGIZO from LUNA SEA recommended this place on a TV show, so I decided to visit after watching a movie at the canal. I ordered the rich ramen and half-fried rice set, and the thick soup was as good as ever. It was very delicious! The fried rice was also tasty, but it was a bit salty, so I would rate it 3.5 out of 5. I would definitely come back to this place when I want something rich and flavorful.

I had a few drinks in Hakata and decided to end the night here. I saw a comedian on YouTube raving about how delicious the "richness" of the food was, so I was curious. Upon entering the restaurant, I realized that it wasn't tonkotsu ramen after all. No wonder it didn't smell like pork bones. But since I was already here, I decided to enjoy myself and ordered a highball. It looked a bit small though. From the side menu, I ordered gyoza, grilled chicken thigh, and fried rice. The grilled chicken thigh was tender and well-seasoned, it went well with the highball. As for the ramen, you can choose from rich or light flavors. I went with the rich one. The richness from the chicken broth was impressive! Personally, I think it's worth visiting once, but maybe trying the light flavor next time would be interesting. Thank you for the meal.

Ramen Dai costs 1080 yen. I hadn't eaten it in two years, but it was still delicious. I regret not getting the extra-large portion. The regular size is 920 yen, and the large size (1.5 servings) is an additional 160 yen. If you get the extra-large size (2 servings), it's an extra 450 yen. I wonder if the price is set like this because the soup also increases with the extra-large size. It's a shame that there are few shops in Fukuoka that serve the same quality as Tenkaippin.

Today, I had a drinking party in Hakata and for our third stop, we decided to end the night with ramen. It was around 11pm and there weren't many places open, so we decided to try this place. The restaurant had about 30 seats, including counter and table seating. Last time, I had ramen so this time I decided to try something different - Miso Ramen, Fried Rice, and a bottle of beer. The Miso Ramen was a blend of Hokkaido red miso and Aichi soybean miso in a soup base similar to Tenkaippin's. The red miso gave the soup a slightly red color. The soup had a hint of miso flavor and didn't overpower the main soup. The noodles were medium thickness and had a chewy texture, which paired well with the rich soup. The toppings included chashu pork, bamboo shoots, and chopped green onions. The fried rice was well-coated in oil and had ingredients like fish cake, egg, and onions. The side of Chinese soup had a strong pepper flavor that complemented the fried rice well. Despite feeling guilty about the calories, I finished everything. Tomorrow, I'll have to eat healthier. The miso flavor has been gradually expanding, with options such as: 1) Miso Ramen (Regular) for 970 yen, 2) Rich and Hearty (Large) for 1020 yen, and 3) Rich and Hearty Tenshinhan Set for 1200 yen. The rich and flavorful taste of the chicken white broth after 5 years is still as delicious as ever. The blend of chicken white broth, Hokkaido red miso, and Aichi bean miso creates an even richer flavor. The Tenshinhan was not as impressive as expected, but it was decent. My personal opinion: Flavor - ★★★★☆, Cost performance - ★★★☆☆, Overall - ★★★☆☆. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Tenkaippin in Hakata after a long time. I ordered the Kotteri ramen with rice set. The thick soup was delicious like in Kansai, but the noodles were soft, I prefer them a bit firmer. I added a little garlic and mixed in some spicy miso for a change in flavor, and it was delicious.

I had a craving for Tenkaichi, so I decided to stop by after work. Their soup goes so well with rice, and the set menu comes with a generous serving of fried chicken. The spicy miso soup seemed a bit watery this time, and the taste was slightly different from before. I personally preferred the previous version. Nonetheless, it was delicious. I used to frequent Tenkaippin in a different city, and finally had the chance to visit one in Fukuoka. There are only 2-3 branches in Fukuoka, so it was nostalgic to be there. The prices were higher than I remembered (which is understandable given the times), and the taste wasn't as rich as I expected (I remember it being more intense? with a more potato-like starchy flavor coating the noodles?). It didn't quite meet my expectations, but I'm grateful that they have a store in Fukuoka. I will visit again.

In Fukuoka city, there are few places where you can easily enjoy "Tenka Ippin" ramen, and one of them is the "Tenka Ippin Hakata Ekimae" store. After being closed for a while, they have reopened, so I decided to visit after a long time. Looking at the menu, I noticed that the prices have gone up a bit, with gyoza and fried rice sets all being over 1000 yen. I was in the mood for fried rice, so I ordered the fried rice set for 1110 yen. I chose the basic "rich" flavor from the light, medium, and rich options. The "rich" ramen, as always, had a thick and flavorful chicken broth. The medium-thick noodles were well coated with the soup, allowing me to enjoy the true essence of Tenka Ippin after a long time. The surprising discovery this time was that the fried rice was surprisingly delicious. The fried rice, with a soy sauce flavor and well-coated grains of rice, paired excellently with the ramen. I thoroughly enjoyed my long-awaited meal at Tenka Ippin. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for the first time since it reopened after the fire in 2024, and the place has not changed much from before. I arrived after 5 pm and there were a few other customers at the counter, but the staff kindly offered me a table towards the back. The rich ramen was delicious - I slurped up all the soup!

I suddenly crave it so much. I prefer rice over large portions. I enjoy ramen with rice and finish with soup poured over rice. The fried chicken here has a nostalgic flavor of fried chicken powder. That's why I end up ordering the fried chicken too. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Tenkaippin Hakata Ekimae" located in Hakata Ekimae, Hakata Ward. I ordered the rich ramen (770 yen) and a small bowl of rice (180 yen). I originally planned to try the extra rich ramen being sold as part of their 50th-anniversary special, but since it is limited to 5 servings per day and they open at 11 am, I couldn't make it in time for the limited servings. After placing my order, the ramen was served in just a few minutes. I took a sip of the soup and it was delicious as always, with a rich and flavorful broth made from chicken bones and vegetables. I finished my meal by pouring the remaining soup over the rice like a porridge. It was a satisfying meal from start to finish! The extra rich ramen is available until February 28th, so I hope to try it next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Check for details. Nearby parking available. This place brings back memories from when I used to live in Osaka! But they've changed the bowls, haven't they? They've added more set menu options (;゜゜) Hmm, did they slightly change the soup? They used to call it a rich ramen with a thick soup made from chicken bones and vegetables. Originating in Kyoto and spreading to Osaka, it has now expanded nationwide. There are two locations in Fukuoka. The gyoza and kimchi fried rice are not the main dishes! They are more like side dishes (^ω^). Ramen with extra noodles for 890 yen, Gyoza + Rice for 180 yen, Half Kimchi Fried Rice Set Regular Size for 770 yen + Kimchi Fried Rice for 220 yen. The oiliness of the old bowls seems more fitting. When you taste it, mix in the spicy miso, adding a punch. The unique noodles and soup may not be accepted by everyone, but there are still loyal fans. There are only 3 Tenkaippin stores in Fukuoka Prefecture. The closest one to my workplace is the Hakata Ekimae store. This store accepts PayPay which is very convenient. They serve very rich and thick ramen. Even if my face gets swollen and my hands get tired, it's my favorite dish. ^_^
