On this day, I was planning to go to a different restaurant, but the parking lot was full and there were people dressed in formal attire lined up, so I wondered if it was a funeral. This won't work. I'll go somewhere else. After various events, I arrived at this sushi restaurant. It's "Ichiro Sushi" in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. When I entered the restaurant, I found a cozy atmosphere with a counter and a small raised seating area, where the husband and wife duo were attentive. Remembering a review by a friend, I ordered the Nigiri Set (1,900 yen). They even arranged it on a wooden geta for the photo. The set included tuna, squid, amberjack, sea bream, shrimp, scallop, salmon, and salmon roe. The ingredients were generous in size, with the rice also being substantial, making it a satisfying meal for one person. The tuna was like medium fatty tuna, and the shrimp was also delicious. The white fish and squid had a strong sweetness, and overall, both the quality and quantity of the sushi were fulfilling. I also received a miso soup and a serving of yuzu daikon pickles as a service, and I particularly enjoyed the flavor of the miso soup. The yuzu daikon pickles were also tasty, but I forgot to take a photo and ended up eating them all, so please just look at the plate. Speaking of plates, the soy sauce dish was made of Koishihara-yaki pottery, which is often seen in Japanese restaurants, and it made me happy for some reason. Keep going, Koishihara-yaki pottery, from disaster-stricken area to a place of recovery as soon as possible... Thank you for the meal. The sushi may look ordinary, but it was very delicious. I also enjoyed chatting with the husband and wife. My happiness was found here.
