The set meal included rice, miso soup, and pickles, while the herring came with grated daikon radish. The herring, grilled over charcoal, had a delicious texture, flavor, and aroma from head to tail. I usually go to Shinpachi in Hankyu Umeda, but for some reason that store is closed, so I came to this Namba store. There are many foreign staff members here. The taste is the same, I think, but here you can see everything in the kitchen (laughs), like putting the fish in the case and grilling it, so it's a bit strange in a way. It was a weekday, so I didn't worry about it before going to Osaka because there were plenty of seats available. However, the night before, it quickly became fully booked. I thought about standing, but they weren't allowing standing due to COVID-19. So, I decided to watch a movie in Umeda instead. I wandered around Namba for a meal beforehand. I was looking for okonomiyaki since I was in Osaka, but the popular restaurants had long waits. After trying a few places, my child found one! We were craving fish after having hormone dishes yesterday and meat dishes the day before, so we decided to try the delicious dried fish here. The restaurant was quite small, but that added to its charm. Surprisingly, the lunchtime beer was cheap, so we ordered that too! The horse mackerel had a thick and satisfying texture with a delicious plump flesh. I usually don't eat grilled fish, so a specialty shop like this where you can casually enjoy it is very convenient.
