It was a meat-filled course, but everything was delicious! I tried the tongue salt and heart sashimi with rice, and they were also excellent! The all-you-can-drink alcohol selection is great, so it's a good place for those who enjoy drinking! The staff's service was also good!

Imaizumi's "Chokkyu Horumon Imaizumi-ten" is a yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy Kyushu Wagyu and Ginzari on a shichirin grill. It has a casual atmosphere but they pay attention to quality. We had the superb assortment and it was delicious. The Ginzari uses Saga Prefecture's Hinohikari rice, and when it's cooked, a bell rings to indicate it's ready to eat. The rice is firm and pairs perfectly with the meat. The restaurant is clean and they offer courses starting from 2,500 yen. The recommended dish at this restaurant, no matter what anyone says, is the silver shari. Especially, when it is freshly cooked, it is amazing. In fact, the yakiniku is more like a side menu, with the silver shari being the main dish. The meat here is overall on the fatty side. The dishes labeled as "extra" or those in the kalbi category usually have a good amount of visible fat. So, I recommend the sirloin! Even the sirloin is more than enough! The marbling in the meat makes it sweet...! The combination of the sweet fatty meat and the shiny freshly cooked silver shari...!!!!!! The taste of this is godlike...! Of course, the meat is delicious, but the rice is on a whole other level. When eaten together, it's simply amazing! And the recommended way to eat it is to top it with real wasabi (complimentary)!!! Since the meat is sweet, and the silver shari is also quite sweet, the wasabi helps to refresh your mouth. This contrast is irresistible. The wasabi is delicious... (tears) Seriously, when you grill thinly sliced sirloin and top it with wasabi, then eat it with the silver shari, it's like meat sushi. And it doesn't lose to other meat sushi out there. It's a chilly year-end season. After finishing our first stop, we headed to this place we had reserved. It's located next to Imazumi Park. We ordered the all-you-can-drink course, which comes in this bucket. The silver rice is free refills. It's definitely tasty but the rice feels a bit clumped together. The kalbi is consistently delicious. The cucumber has too much crunch. The pork and chicken feel like fillers. Maybe we should have gone for the next level course. The original shochu is served straight. The balance of the course was good.

I came here for lunch and since I wasn't very hungry, I opted for the affordable yakiniku set meal. It was delicious and the rice was just the right amount. I want to eat more meat next time, so I might order some extra. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I headed to a different yakiniku restaurant, but they told me they were already closed for last order because the lunch time on Tabelog was not accurate. So, I immediately went to the restaurant with a red curtain right in front of me!! I entered at 2:27 pm on a weekday and was seated at a table in the back with a welcoming "please sit". This place is known for its rice. I saw a rice polishing machine at the entrance, so I knew it would be delicious. I ordered the straightforward Hormone set meal (990 yen) with the restaurant's name on it. They brought a charcoal grill to the table, and lit it up. They also provided two types of salt and furikake. The meal included a fresh vegetable salad, grilled cabbage, kimchi, miso soup, silver rice, two types of sauce, and four types of hormone. 2 types of hormone, upper mino liver - 2-3 slices each. The meat was fresh and delicious. I liked that they had two types of vegetables, raw and for grilling, from a female perspective. The miso soup was homely and tasty, and most importantly, the rice, as expected from the restaurant's specialty, was just the right firmness for me. Slightly firm, surprisingly delicious. And you can get seconds! All this for under 1000 yen, amazing value. Lunch time is until 3 pm. When I asked the floor staff during payment, they said that lunch will be served until the time restriction is lifted.

Imaizumi also has that "Sembelo"! "Chokkyu Horumon" My favorite "Chokkyu Horumon" has appeared in Imaizumi, within walking distance from the company. It used to be located along the Nishitetsu line in Minami-ku, but it seems like it's moving closer to the city center. The early evening Sembelo is a must-buy. You can choose 3 drinks and 2 dishes for 1100 yen. When you sit down, you are first served with soup, then a draft beer, and a highball for the second drink. The food includes something called Kalbi soup, which I thought would have a few slices of meat, but it turned out to be like this. Well, that's okay. Also, there was miso stewed tofu. Since I wasn't very hungry this time, I went for something healthy. The third drink was makgeolli. All this for 1100 yen, it's really amazing. Grateful for the company's efforts. I found this place by chance and decided to try it out. I had been to the Yakuin store before, but I wonder when this one opened. The restaurant was spacious with only 3 other customers. I chose the "Premium Yakiniku Set (1200 yen including tax)" even though the "Premium Kalbi" and "Premium Sirloin" were the only options listed on the menu. I was surprised to find that it also came with beef tongue. I didn't notice during the meal, but there was a note on the meat tag saying "This meat tag is not edible." I wonder if anyone actually eats that. - Premium Kalbi: They advised not to cook it too much, so I lightly seared it. It was tender, juicy, and deliciously sweet. I was happy to get this quality of meat at this price. - Premium Sirloin: Tender and delicious. - Beef tongue: Thinly sliced but also delicious. - Left: Sirloin, Right: Kalbi. I preferred the juiciness of the Kalbi. - Grilled vegetables and sauce. - The rice was shiny and delicious, and you can get seconds if you want. - The kimchi was spicy but tasty. - Salad - Miso soup Overall, for 1200 yen including tax, it was a delicious yakiniku lunch with good quality meat. At Hanekama, just a stone's throw away from Imaizumi Park, the rice cooked in a feather kettle is irresistible. The menu we enjoyed included: - Original Straight Ball Kalbi for 638 yen - Top Sirloin for 1078 yen - Wagyu Sagari for 1518 yen - Harami Yukke for 1078 yen - Famous Silver Shari for 220 yen Of course, we had to order the delicious rice to go with the kalbi. The meat was flavorful, with just the right balance of lean and fatty cuts. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night, with dim lighting and a clean interior. The total bill came to around 5000 yen. Overall, a great place for meat lovers to create wonderful memories on a summer day.

There was very little lean meat. I wish they had left out the chuck flap tail and the sirloin. The tongue was average, but the rest was greasy, tough, and the taste was just average. It seems like casual dining places are just not for me.

I saved the "Yakiniku Ginshari Chokkyu Horumon" based on the reviews by Mairebi-sama. Normally, they are open for dinner, but during the pandemic period, they are open for lunch. I visited the day before the end of the pandemic period, on a Saturday. When I called the restaurant beforehand, they confirmed that they were open. The restaurant is located on the west side of Imaizumi Park, at a corner location, making it easy to find. I arrived at 11:55 and was the first customer. Inside, there are 4-person box seats lined up near the entrance. The staff, two men, were friendly and greeted me warmly. I sat at a 4-person box seat near the entrance and looked at the menu. They had various lunch options, including gyudon and curry, but I decided to go for yakiniku. I ordered the "Jou Yakiniku Teishoku (1,200 yen, tax included)" which included premium kalbi, premium loin, 3 types of vegetables, kimchi, salad, ginshari (rice), and miso soup. The meat, salad, and kimchi were served soon, and the tabletop grill was lit. As mentioned by other reviewers, there was also tongue included on the meat plate, a pleasant surprise. I started by grilling the tongue. Since the grill was on the table, I could easily see the meat cooking. The smoke was not bothersome as there was a smoke exhaust pipe above the grill. The rice and miso soup were served soon after. I was impressed when they said, "You can have as many refills of rice as you like." I started with the tongue, then moved on to the loin. It was sweet and had a buttery flavor. The thickness of the meat allowed for a juicy experience. The kalbi had a good balance of marbling. Both meats were thick, tender, and flavorful, allowing me to appreciate the unique taste of each cut. I noticed that the meat was sliced at the edges, showing attention to detail to maximize the flavor. All this for 1,200 yen was a great deal! While there are high-end yakiniku restaurants that cost ten times more, I was completely satisfied with the quality here. If I were to go to a high-end restaurant once, I would choose to come here ten times instead. I was dining alone, but gradually more customers arrived, and the kitchen became busier. The difference in atmosphere within 10-15 minutes was surprising. When I asked if they would stop serving lunch after the pandemic period, they mentioned that they would continue serving lunch for the time being.
