I had been to the shops in front many times, but this was my first time visiting this particular restaurant. It is a Japanese-style set meal restaurant located at the back, with a ramen shop and an izakaya in front. On this day, they had bonito katsu (deep-fried bonito) and oden on the menu. I ordered the former. The bonito katsu had a refreshing sauce and a satisfying texture, and the rice was delicious too. It came with a small side dish, making it a well-balanced meal. The only thing that bothered me was having to take off my shoes before entering.

I had the daily boiled fish set meal for lunch. It was red snapper head soup that day, with a refined seasoning that was very delicious and reasonably priced. I was very satisfied with the meal.

Tsurugi in Minami Senba, Osaka, is a cozy izakaya with a calming atmosphere. I had a very satisfying dining experience there. I made a reservation two days in advance and was lucky to get a private room. When I called during lunchtime, they kindly answered the phone even though they were busy. They recommended the sashimi platter with fresh seafood of the day. The pork salad with sesame dressing was delicious and easy to eat. The rolled omelette was skillfully made and tasty. The fried chicken was said to be excellent by those who tried it. The shrimp mayo was made with whole shrimp and mayo, different from the usual. The liver stir-fry with tofu was also very satisfying. The service was great, and the location is not very visible, so it's easy to miss. It's recommended to make a reservation before visiting. Whether it's a date or a big party, I think you'll have a great time there.

I recently visited Shunsen Sakaba Kaishu and sneaked into the shop further back. It was just past lunchtime, so there were only two women customers. I took off my shoes at the entrance and felt like diving straight into drinking, but I resisted and decided to have the lunch set instead. There were two daily specials, but only the simmered flounder was left at this time. Both my colleague and I coincidentally chose the fried chicken set from the regular lunch menu. While discussing the meeting we were about to attend, our two lunch sets were ready. Although it looked like a casual lunch set from an izakaya, the fried chicken was unexpectedly delicious with a crispy yet juicy texture. The side dishes and miso soup were also on par with those of surrounding izakaya lunches. I envy the salarymen in this area who have the pleasure of exploring different restaurants every day. It's important to have new discoveries every day as it can be a source of energy for tomorrow. Thank you for the meal.

This is a restaurant located at the back of the hallway in the building called Dontsuki. I was surprised to find that the restaurant is actually quite spacious despite the narrow hallway. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance before going up to the tables, even for table seating. Since it was late, I was seated at a table by myself. The atmosphere is nice with beautiful flowers, a chic decor, and jazz music playing. It seems like a great place to have a relaxing drink at night. As for the lunch menu, they offer:
- Sashimi set meal for 880 yen
- Pork cutlet set meal for 780 yen
- Ginger pork set meal for 700 yen
- Fried chicken set meal for 700 yen
The best part is that you can have unlimited rice refills. The ginger pork set meal for 700 yen was delicious. The pork was coated in starch and cooked until tender. The sauce was not too sweet, making it a great combination with rice. It also comes with two side dishes. After the meal, you can also enjoy self-service coffee. Just be sure to get it before it runs out.

The shop is a bit hard to find, but that actually gives it a hidden gem vibe. When you peek in from the street, you'll see "Tsuruyoshi" located down a narrow passageway. Inside, it's surprisingly spacious with a counter and table seating, making it a great space for gatherings. You take off your shoes before entering, giving it a cozy izakaya feel. The counter is lined with appetizing dishes, so I picked a few to start with. I also ordered a sashimi platter and some sake, which was a nice change. The sake selection isn't extensive, but they have some delicious options. The sake was served in masu cups, which added to the experience. They also had a variety of shochu available, making it a good spot for when you feel like drinking. I ended up spending a bit more than I intended because I had quite a few drinks, but if you share a bottle, it's actually quite reasonable. They mentioned that hot pot is delicious this season, so I definitely want to come back for that.

Yesterday, I was invited by a customer to have a farewell party at Tsuruyoshi, located between Honmachi and Shinsaibashi. We had a toast with Asahi beer! The beer after work is the best (^ ^) We enjoyed dishes like simmered red clam, flounder sashimi, fried tuna, doteyaki, squid tempura, and more, all delicious and reasonably priced! There was a mishap when the bottled beer ran out, but they gave us complimentary tuna sashimi and made strong highball drinks for us. The staff was friendly and the overall experience was wonderful! Thank you for the meal! I forgot to take photos of the food, so you'll have to go and see for yourself, haha.

I searched for a new place for lunch on the internet and found this restaurant called Tsuruki. I went there a little after 1 pm and it was quite busy, so it took a while to be served. I ordered the tonkatsu, but later regretted it because they also had a daily lunch special that looked delicious. Next time, I'll go for the daily special! The portion was generous and the meal was very satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

I was taken to a nice izakaya by some company dads! They had fresh sea bream that day, so we enjoyed sea bream hot pot, sashimi, and fried sea bream. It was a Friday night, so the place was very crowded, but the staff were all friendly and we were able to enjoy ourselves. I'd love to go back again if I have the chance.

I went there for the first time. I had made a reservation before but couldn't go due to work, so this time was a rematch. It's a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, and I enjoyed the fish dishes. The prices were not too high. Also, both the owner of the restaurant and the young male staff in the kitchen were very kind. Thank you very much.

I slid in just before the restaurant closed, about an hour before. They said they could still serve me an appetizer if they had it, so I decided to go in. If they have a mixed appetizer plate, I could keep drinking until closing time. The sake kasu (sake lees) appetizer was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. They said they introduce about two new types of sake every month, so it seems like you could enjoy it even if you go every month. Today, I tried those two new types. I definitely want to come back and take my time next time. The menu included sake kasu appetizer, mixed appetizer plate, dried daikon radish and eggplant simmered dish, meat spa, and vinegar whale (sushi). Additional item: Bijofu special junmai sake.
