A cafe called "Furutorie Nakamura Fruit Orchard" was featured in a certain newsletter. Until the end of September, customers who order a parfait will get a free drink (limited to those who read the newsletter). Let's go check it out. The cafe is located on the east side of Route 3, also known as the Fujiyama Line heading towards Yame. The cafe is part of a fruit orchard. Arriving at the cafe at 3:30 PM in light rain, there are about 4 parking spaces in front of the shop, but there is a shared parking lot at the back with the fruit direct sales store, with a capacity of about 20 cars. There are also 2 parking spaces for tourist buses. After parking, I headed towards the shop and coincidentally arrived with a group of tourists from a bus. First, you order and pay at the register, then you take a seat. I lined up along with the bus tourists. When the cashier asked the bus tourists how long they had to wait, they replied "40 minutes." The cashier then made an announcement saying, "We will guide the bus tourists. The parfait will take about 30 minutes. Some customers in the past couldn't finish it in time, so please consider ordering something other than the parfait." When it was my turn at the register, I quickly ordered the "Pear Parfait (1,200 yen, tax included)." The free drink was iced coffee. There are a few outdoor tables under shade that can accommodate 4 people each. Today's weather is fine for outdoor seating, but with this waiting time, it might be a bit tough. So, I opted to wait inside. The iced coffee that was served was a bit weak in taste. It costs 400 yen on the menu. It's free this time, but at this price, I might skip it next time. While sipping on the iced coffee, after about 30 minutes of waiting, the parfait arrived. It is a standard size parfait. When I tried it, the main ingredient, the pear, was not cold but at room temperature. I could taste the natural sweetness of the fully ripe pear, surpassing the sweetness of the whipped cream. Not cooling the pear may be to enhance this sweetness. The taste is good, but whether I would order the parfait again next time is questionable as it exceeds my usual lunch budget. I could hear an impatient voice from behind, seemingly from a lady on the bus. It seems like they are in a hurry. Another bus arrived later, so maybe they didn't receive the initial explanation. It's lively in a way, but it doesn't quite match the atmosphere of the cafe. To enjoy leisurely, it might be a good idea to check for the presence of tourist buses before visiting. Looking outside, I see a staff member directing traffic on the roadside for cars entering and exiting in the rain. It's much appreciated. Since it's a shop directly connected to production, it would be more appreciated if they could reconsider the prices a bit. Thank you for the meal.
