Before starting my night shift in Nishitanabe, I decided to grab a bite to eat at Yoshinoya. This year's beef sukiyaki set meal is priced at 767 yen. Compared to previous years, the portion seemed smaller and the price has gone up quite a bit. The side dish portion also seemed to have decreased significantly. Although rice refills are free, overall I was left feeling a bit unsatisfied. One of the complaints about living in Atami with a company transfer is the lack of beef bowl restaurants such as Yoshinoya, Matsuya, Sukiya, and Nakau. Atami only has McDonald's near the station as fast food options. The only family restaurants available are Jonathan and Denny's. While I don't necessarily prefer fast food, I do crave beef bowls once in a while. In Osaka near my home in Nishitanabe, we have Yoshinoya, Nakau, and Gyoza no Ohsho nearby, which is very convenient. I believe that fast food chains, offering affordable, quick, and delicious options like beef bowls, are significant. Of course, it's not good to eat them all the time.

Yoshinoya and Itogyu-don both offer options like Kalbi Yakiniku and Yakiniku set meals. They both come with a slightly spicy sauce for dipping. In terms of cost performance, I found the Yakiniku set meal and Yakiniku don to be more enjoyable.

I felt like eating salmon, so I had a salmon and beef set meal. It came with beef, grilled salmon, rice, and miso soup. It had been a while since I had salmon, so I was a little happy.

I go to a clinic near Nishitanabe Station, so there are a lot of reviews about Nishitanabe recently. It's a bit far from Nishitanabe, even though it has "Tanabe" in the name, for some reason it's in Abeno Ward. It doesn't really feel like Abeno in Nishitanabe... So, I had a quick breakfast while waiting at the clinic. There were cafes nearby, but I always end up going to a fast food restaurant that I used a lot during my solo assignment in Tokyo. Yoshinoya. There is a shop right at the Nishitanabe Station intersection. They had a limited-time menu featuring salt-seasoned chicken, pork, and beef dishes, so I chose the Salted Beef Kalbi Bowl in large size. The menu outside the shop includes English, Chinese, and Korean, and you can only see the Japanese menu once you're inside. It's kind of inconvenient. The Salted Beef Kalbi Bowl comes with yuzu pepper, which you mix in while eating. The beef itself seems to be cooked with pepper. It's a slightly spicy bowl. As usual, I went for the large size, so it was quite a hearty breakfast. But a refreshing Salted Beef Kalbi Bowl. However, my impression after finishing it is... Yoshinoya is still all about the beef bowl. Thank you for the meal.

When staying in Nishitanabe, as usual, I woke up early and went to find breakfast. [Order]: Morning set meal (extra rice) and raw egg. [Impression]: When visiting Yoshinoya, I often order the beef and salmon set meal regardless of the time of day, but this time I decided to try a different menu. The beef bowl comes with a small side dish, so I was able to enjoy both the beef bowl and natto rice afterwards, and I was satisfied. With the extra rice and raw egg, the total came to 440 yen, which is great value for money. However, when I returned to the hotel, I found out that a free breakfast was provided, and I felt a bit regretful...

It was simply delicious.
