I visited Mr. Hibiki, an elegant deep-fried skewer restaurant located right in front of the Keihan Nishi-Sanso Station for the first time since it became a convenient skewer dining bar, and the atmosphere was really nice. I was guided to a very nice semi-private space for seating. While skewer restaurants are often more casual, it felt like coming to a dining bar. I had reserved the 4000 yen course, thinking of ordering drinks separately, but I was pleasantly surprised to be offered an all-you-can-drink option. The variety of alcohol was abundant. The dishes were brought out and I was amazed. The appetizer plate was full of variety and skewers kept coming one after another, from cold skewers to deep-fried skewers. When the skewer series came to an end, a chicken and eggplant tomato stew arrived! I was surprised by the variety of dishes. The chicken was tender and delicious. Just when I thought it was the end, four types of grilled skewers appeared. Seriously? How many dishes have already come out? How many more will come? It was a bit overwhelming with the number of dishes. Just when I thought the grilled skewers would be the last, a pasta dish arrived! Really? (I forgot to take a picture) Are there still more dishes coming out? For 4000 yen? Dessert came out and it really was the end. I mainly talked about the variety of dishes, but the taste of the skewers was also very delicious. The creative skewers with added touches had a thin batter that wasn't heavy, easy to eat, and I loved it. So, I also drank a lot of alcohol. The number of dishes and the duration of the all-you-can-drink didn't match, so I asked for an extension. How much do you want to drink? Even with the extension, it was just a little over 6000 yen! Cheap! It happened to be a live music day, and it was a night with the artist Suno. My friend was also very satisfied, drinking, eating, and chatting so much that we entered at 6:30 pm and it was already 11 pm. We were too relaxed. The owner and the staff were very kind and made us feel really good. Thank you for everything. I have become a big fan of Mr. Hibiki! Definitely going to come back.

The highlight of the meal was the deep-fried skewers, with a thin and crispy coating that was not heavy at all. The flavors were well-matched to each ingredient, and I could have eaten many more. We also tried the shrimp and mushroom ajillo, which was garlicy and salty, perfect with bread. The restaurant offers a wide selection of whiskey and wine, making it a great place for those who enjoy drinking. The main seating is at tables, with private rooms available in the back for dates, anniversaries, or company gatherings. It's conveniently located near the monorail, making it easy to get home.
