Trip to Hakodate in Hokkaido. Visited the morning market, Goryokaku, and the public hall, then headed to the Red Brick Warehouse. It was lunchtime, so we decided to eat somewhere, following my wife's request, we went to this beer hall. "We've already been to Goryokaku and such, so no more driving, right?" We were both in the mood for drinking in the afternoon. We entered the restaurant right away. The high ceiling, spacious interior, it really had that beer hall atmosphere. We were seated at a table and ordered beer first, of course. For food, we started with spaghetti with tonkatsu, a combination I personally love. It came with half-sized salad. While trying out different beers from the menu, we thought, "When in Hokkaido, you can't miss out on soup curry," so we added the limited edition July menu item of soup curry. It had big chunks of pork and an overwhelming amount of garlic. It was quite spicy with a strong garlic flavor, which I really liked. When we get home, I might try to recreate it by adding a lot of garlic slices to store-bought soup curry. I enjoyed it that much. We tried Sapporo Classic, Red Brick, Ebisu, Kaitakushi, Sorachi, Half and Half, and finished with another Classic before asking for the bill. If we ever come back to Hakodate, I would definitely want to visit this place again. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation again and arrived at 6:00 pm. Unlike last October, the restaurant was already almost full. The beer of choice in Hokkaido is definitely "Sapporo Classic." It was perfect after a day of sightseeing. There were many delicious dishes made with local ingredients. In particular, the baked foil-wrapped butter and salted fish roe with Baron potatoes impressed my whole family (3 people), and we plan to try making it at home.

Sapporo Beer's own beer was delicious, especially the first glass. The foam was fine and didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The customers were mostly tourists, and the place was crowded even on weekdays. The location was great, overlooking the Red Brick Street, and it felt nice to feel the breeze while coming and going. The best dishes were the potatoes and salted fish roe. There were many menu options, making it a family-friendly restaurant.

This is a beer hall located in the red brick warehouses in Hakodate! Depending on the seat, you can enjoy your meal while looking out at the bay area. Choose from a variety of menu items such as Caesar salad, fish and chips, crab cream croquettes, and venison! All the dishes are satisfying, but the standout is the fish - it has a tender yet chewy texture that is delicious! The crab croquettes are also tasty, although I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't as much crab as I expected for being in Hokkaido. The venison is tender, lean, and healthy, but can be a bit dry. It's a bit pricey due to its prime location for tourists, but overall it's just average. I was more satisfied with another beer hall I visited last year! It was quite crowded, but I recommend making a reservation online through the official website! I was happy that they gave us a seat with a nice view by the window because we made a reservation!

The atmosphere was great. That's why the beer tasted really delicious. The prices at the beer hall are a bit high, but that's to be expected. The food menu is also quite pricey. It was crowded with a lot of group customers. I think it's better to make a reservation.

Recently, the town has been getting more tourists and it's nice to see the lively atmosphere. The beer hall is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. I always go for the large beer. Today's snacks were fried chicken, flounder carpaccio, Genghis Khan, and pressed mackerel sushi. Completely satisfied.

Delicious beer and dishes that left me fully satisfied! The "President's Favorite Beer" was surprisingly 10% alcohol! I even bought some to take home from the shop. The meals were all generously portioned and tasty, I definitely want to visit again!

Beer refill, wine, beer... Before I knew it, I was higher than the beer tower. Well, the charm is being able to taste various kinds of beer. The long wiener wrapped in pie was really satisfying. The cheese fondue, zangi, and everything else were delicious. I wonder what else I ate. This meal turned out to be the most expensive one on this trip.

In June 2023, on the third day of a 3-night, 4-day trip to Southern Hokkaido via the Hokkaido Shinkansen, I finally arrived in Hakodate. After dropping off my luggage at the hotel, I had a late lunch at the morning market before walking to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. Feeling thirsty, I decided to have a beer in the afternoon. Sapporo Classic (medium size) for 858 yen, Hakodate Kaitakushi Beer (medium size) for 1,111 yen, edamame for 478 yen, and fish & chips for 858 yen. Drinking beer in the middle of the day is such a delight. Although I wasn't very hungry, the fish & chips I ordered turned out to be surprisingly filling. The edamame was quite salty, perhaps to encourage more beer consumption. I left the restaurant feeling full, satisfied, and grateful for the meal.

This is a beer hall located in a red brick warehouse. I visited on a holiday eve, so it was about 80% full. When I tried to order, it seemed like there weren't enough staff members, as the service was slow and somewhat unresponsive. Despite the great location and atmosphere, the lackluster service made it disappointing. This atmosphere may have affected my perception of the food and beer, as I didn't feel any special emotions towards them.

It's around 12:30 on the weekend. I visited a beer hall located right in the heart of a tourist spot inside a brick warehouse. Outside, there were displays of food, and the spacious interior had many counters and tables. There were solo diners as well as foreign groups, creating a diverse customer base. I was quickly seated by the window and ordered beer from the table menu. I got the Red Brick Beer and the Kaitakushi Beer, along with the Hokkaido Kaitakuyaki as a snack. The beers arrived in less than 5 minutes, followed by the food in another 5 minutes. The Red Brick Beer was slightly sweet with a hint of acidity, while the Kaitakushi Beer had a bit of bitterness. Both beers were easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. The Kaitakuyaki had a generous amount of cheese and various vegetables, with the sweet corn adding a nice touch. The prices were a bit high, but that's expected in a tourist spot. Despite that, the interior, atmosphere, and unique drinks make it worth a visit. Highly recommended!

After a month of not drinking, I ordered a big jug of Half & Half. The beer, ice-cold and enjoyed on a weekday afternoon, was delicious. Regardless of the situation, it was tasty. The edamame was a bit disappointing as it wasn't warm. The Black Matsunai Sancri cheese was better with wine than beer, so I ordered a glass of local wine from Yoichi and it was very delicious.

I visited the popular tourist spot in Hakodate, the Kanemori Warehouse District! This area is a bit inconvenient for daily life, but perfect for enjoying Hakodate to the fullest. We decided to visit the Hakodate Beer Hall for some beer during the day. We didn't make a reservation and ended up sitting at the counter due to a group of school trip students taking up all the table seats. We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara for 1243 yen (tax included), which was delicious. The dish was simple but well-prepared with great seasoning, perfectly cooked noodles, and a thin, easy-to-eat pork cutlet. The neighboring 4-year-old even managed to eat almost half of my spaghetti!

Visited around 4:30 pm on Saturday. There was no wait, and we were seated at the counter. The restaurant is located inside a red brick warehouse, with a charming interior that makes good use of the brick walls. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying beer. Rather than having a full meal, the dishes here are more suited as beer snacks. We ordered 3 beers, Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), and a salad, which came to around 5,000 to 6,000 yen in total. The dishes were seasoned perfectly to complement the beer. Overall, we were very satisfied.

On the 6th day of my trip to Hokkaido, I visited Hakodate for the first time. I started my day with "Higuma's Bamboo Sushi" that I bought at Sapporo Station the day before. Then, I headed to Mount Hakodate where I enjoyed a great view, including a glimpse of the sea of clouds. After descending from Mount Hakodate, I strolled around Hakodate Bay area and the Red Brick Warehouses. I wanted to try the original Hakodate Beer at Hakodate Beer, but unfortunately, it was closed on Wednesdays. I wish I had checked their closing days on Tabelog. So, I went to a Sapporo Beer-affiliated beer hall in the Red Brick Warehouses instead. I ordered the Hakodate Red Brick Beer, homemade squid and potato salad, and two coarse sausages. The beer had a nice color and a sweet, deep flavor. The sausages were crispy and went well with the beer. However, they forgot to bring out the squid and potato salad, so I had to remind them. Along with the salad, I ordered a Galabi cocktail made with Hakodate's famous Garana. Unfortunately, it was too sweet and not suitable as a drinking snack. I should have stuck with the Pilsner Hakodate Kaitakushi Beer for my second drink. Overall, the restaurant lacked attention to detail, especially when it came to the foam on the beer.

This is a stylish beer hall created inside a red brick warehouse! The atmosphere is great, and besides Western food, you can also enjoy unique Hakodate sushi and sashimi! They offer Sapporo beer as well as local Hakodate craft beers, along with a variety of cocktails and sake. It's also perfect for families!

My husband and I, who love local beer and craft beer, arrived by taxi at 6:30 pm. We had to wait for 30 minutes, so we wandered around and returned to the restaurant on time. It seemed busy, as the staff didn't come to take our order right away. However, one experienced gentleman was making an effort and I really appreciated it. I ordered sausages by Karl Raimund, which I had been wanting to try. I had a glass of wine, which was sweet as it was from Hakodate. The beer was also delicious. The prices were a bit high for a tourist spot, but we were satisfied.

I took the streetcar from Goryokaku and got off at Jujigai, then walked to Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. My wife went shopping while I enjoyed a solo drink at Hakodate Beer Hall. I ordered a Sapporo draft beer and Ebisu Black half-and-half in a large mug, along with homemade crab cream croquettes. The croquettes had a creamy texture with plenty of crab meat, wrapped in fine breadcrumbs. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, especially near the wood stove (it would have been even nicer if it was lit). Afterward, I met up with my wife at Rakipi Marina Suehiro store across the street from Hakodate Beer Hall.

One of my favorite places in Hakodate is the beer hall-style restaurant located inside the popular tourist spot, the Red Brick Warehouses. I have been a regular customer here for almost 30 years, so I may be a bit biased, just a heads up. They offer a variety of drinks, with a focus on Hokkaido beers like Sapporo Classic, Red Brick Beer, and Kaiyosha Beer. On this particular day, I enjoyed the all-you-can-drink option along with Hakodate's famous Carl Raymon sausage, squid tempura, and potato cheese bake. I couldn't resist ordering a mini salmon roe bowl as well because this restaurant has a sushi chef on site, offering delicious Japanese dishes as well. Since I had a reservation at a seafood izakaya next, I opted for a lighter meal with the mini salmon roe bowl. With great beer, unique beer hall snacks, and the option for sushi and Japanese cuisine, all within the historic Red Brick Warehouses from the Meiji era, this place offers a perfect blend of Hakodate's exotic charm and a wonderful dining experience.

On the 5th day of my long vacation, around 3 pm, I visited a shop with available seating. They serve original craft beer and cocktails. I ordered the original Red Brick Beer and the Kaitakushi Beer, both of which were very easy to drink. Enjoying craft beer in a warm room while looking at the cold winter scenery is not a bad way to spend time.

This is a popular beer hall located inside the classic tourist spot "Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse," where even crying children are quiet. It is pronounced "Kanemori," not "Kanamori." Operated by Kanemori Shipping, this shop is very popular. This visit was on the evening of January 2nd. We originally aimed for "Hakodate Beer" nearby, but it closed unusually early, so we chose this place instead. The spacious interior with high ceilings makes it very relaxing even when crowded. The lighting is bright and creates a nice atmosphere. The beers are directly shipped from the Sapporo Beer Factory in Hokkaido. There were some local snacks with unique flavors, but most were similar to "Sapporo Lion" products. The prices were quite high, but we ordered 'Hakodate Red Brick Beer / Medium / 1,078 yen,' 'Hakodate Pioneer Beer / Medium / 1,111 yen,' 'Garlic Butter Grilled Tsubugai / 1,078 yen,' 'Largo Chorizo / 2 pieces / 1,364 yen,' 'Raymon Wurst / 858 yen,' 'Hokkaido Pioneer Grilled Dish / 858 yen,' 'Long Sausage Pie Wrap / 1,265 yen,' and some additional drinks. The most eye-catching item was the long sausage wrapped in pie, a unique dish. The combination of sausage and pie crust was interesting, reminiscent of a warm Yamasaki sausage roll. The sausages were all delicious. It was the perfect beer snack. The Red Brick Beer had a fruity flavor that was unique and enjoyable. The Pioneer Beer had a rich aroma and deep flavor due to top fermentation. The service was elegant throughout. You can enjoy your drink from start to finish in a pleasant atmosphere. This is a must-visit place when in Hakodate.
