I wanted to eat yakiniku after a long time, so I went to a restaurant in Iikura, heading straight from Nishishin's Wakayamaguchi towards Sanze, or straight from Arae Yotsukado towards Sanze. There is parking available, so it's okay to go by car. This was my second time coming to eat, and it had been a while since my last visit. I couldn't forget the deliciousness from my previous visit, so I came back. I parked my car, entered the restaurant, and it was full. It was quite lively with many young people. We were guided to a table in the back with a sunken kotatsu seating. We quickly placed our order. I wanted to cheers with a draft beer, but today I ordered a ginger ale as the designated driver. Since we had a large group, we ordered a mixed platter with salt-grilled three types and a platter of fukuno beef. As shown in the photo, the portions were generous. The tongue was delicious, so we ordered an additional serving. They cook it on a shichirin grill placed under a large duct. It sucks in both cigarette smoke and yakiniku smoke. There was a water gun on the table, which caught the children's interest more than the meat. It comes in handy when the fire flares up. It looked like a lot of fun. I prefer to eat rice with my meat. I can't be satisfied without rice with my meat. We ordered a mountain of rice, which looked like it came straight out of a folktale. Even though it was a medium serving, it was a huge portion. It's perfect for someone with a big appetite. We also ordered two servings of yukhoe, which disappeared in no time... (and I didn't even get to eat any...) It must be really popular. It was apparently super delicious. It's no wonder since it's Imari beef. We also ordered stone bibimbap, which was delicious with the burnt rice. Surprisingly, the korikori dish was amazing. As the name suggests, the texture was crunchy and extremely tasty. We ended up ordering more. We didn't eat it this time, but the yamaimo tororo rice is delicious. Please try it. It was a yakiniku restaurant that makes you want to go back for more.

This yakiniku restaurant had started serving lunch from August, which was quite a long time since my last visit. It was mentioned that this was the first time in 13 years that they offered lunch, possibly due to the impact of the coronavirus. I visited during a solo meal on a holiday and noticed that the place was quite busy with customers. The lunch menu had two options priced at 1,580 yen and 2,000 yen, with slight differences in the meat cuts. I ordered the 1,580 yen lunch set, but it was disappointing that I couldn't have a drink with it. The set included cuts of Imari beef (both regular and upper ribs), Saga beef sagari, Aso natural pork belly from Kumamoto, Miyazaki chicken tenderloin, wiener sausages, and grilled vegetables. Despite dining alone, a large charcoal grill was brought to my table, and I enjoyed grilling the meat myself. The pork belly's fat caused some flames on the charcoal, so I had to be careful. There were two types of sauces provided, both of which were tasty and went well with the meal. The most delicious meat was definitely the upper ribs of Imari beef, while the Saga beef sagari was a bit disappointing. It was really tough not being able to have a beer while eating yakiniku. I hope we can enjoy drinks with our meals again soon.

I ordered the course menu, but personally I feel like it would be better to have small portions of good meat individually. The sauce at the restaurant is good, but I prefer to eat with salt or lemon, so I would like them to pay more attention to the salt.

Cost performance is good. However, the kalbi was a bit tough. The level of customer service by the staff is quite good.

The Saga beef from the stable Imari Takebamokusho is exquisite. The staff at the restaurant are friendly and cheerful, and the manager is a great guy. Be sure to try the white rice.

Thank you for visiting the "Urado Shokudo" blog, a food and drink review blog. Please bookmark our page for future reference. Your support is greatly appreciated. Click below to show your support. We enjoyed Imari beef grilled on a shichirin at "Shichirin Yakiniku Fukunougyu" in Fukuoka. The Imari beef from Furutake Ranch in Saga, which has even won champion awards, can be enjoyed at a reasonable price in Fukuoka. We were recommended a great course, but opted for individual orders as we couldn't finish everything. The portions were huge, like something out of a manga. The highlight of the meal was the Imari beef Hanagasaku, cooked on the shichirin. The meat was tender and delicious. We also tried the "spicy tail soup," which was more spicy than hot, but had a great flavor. We had a great meal, and even though we ordered expensive meat, we didn't have to pay a single yen. The Imari beef was delicious, and the maruchou (intestines) were amazing. Address: 1-11-34 Ikura, Jonan-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed on irregular days. Satisfaction rating: 90 points.

It's been a while since I last visited, but the sauce tasted a bit off. The meat quality is decent, and you can try various cuts. It's charcoal grilled, so it's warm and cozy in winter. It's not a touristy place, more for locals. They have promotions like getting a portion of Kalbi for 1 yen or free next time with a coupon from a local magazine. The rice portion is huge, and I always end up gaining weight. My annoying kid loves the tail soup, and he makes a delicious porridge with the leftover rice. I also tried the 10 kinds of meat platter this time, but it was a bit... I think sticking to ordering individual items like loin, hormone, and a big portion of rice for a heavy meal is the best way to go!

Yakiniku Number One has been my favorite since I was a kid, but a few years ago, this restaurant opened near my place. Actually, the Hakata Wari Road is a fierce battleground for yakiniku. There's even an all-you-can-eat place that came from Itoshima. Imari beef is famous at places like Gokumiyakiya and Fujisaki, but this restaurant also serves Imari beef. When I visited this day, I had made a reservation, but the restaurant was full. It's summer vacation time, so families were all over the place. The upper kalbi and upper loin had less fat than I expected, even old guys like me can enjoy it. Gokumiyakiya's meat was too strong for me, so I stuck with the regular meat here, which was a bit dry and not very generous in portion for the 580 yen price. By the way, if you make a reservation, you get a service voucher for the next visit for the regular kalbi. Let's go next time when everyone can get together!

I happened to stop by this restaurant on the way to the onsen "Kiyotaki" and it was a great decision. It's not a place you would normally pass by, but we decided to grab a bite to eat before heading to the onsen. When we arrived, there was only one parking spot left, so we were lucky to get it. Inside, the restaurant was packed with customers. It specializes in Imari beef, so we ordered 2-3 servings of beef, hormone, tongue salt, and Caesar salad. Although there were four of us, the portions were quite generous and the beef was tender and juicy. We also ordered kimchi at the end, but be warned, it's spicy.

I usually go to a different Imari beef specialty store, but I visited this new one after seeing it in a magazine. Imari beef can be eaten relatively cheaply here. My family of four visited and ordered a meat platter and several individual meat dishes. The rice portion was huge. The kalbi and loin in this meat platter were very delicious. All of this for 2980 yen is a great deal. We also received a one yen coupon for a free plate of kalbi, but the meat was a bit tough. Other than that, the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and we were very satisfied.

This was my first time trying yakiniku in Fukuoka. Without knowing which place was good, and not having the luxury to go wherever I heard was delicious like when I was in China, I carefully chose a restaurant based on reviews and price range. The place I went to was called "Fukunogyu," a yakiniku restaurant specializing in Imari beef. I had never heard of Imari beef before, so I was curious to try it. The menu and prices seemed reasonable. Lately, my kids have been eating more heartily, so I decided to go with the recommended value menu by the staff, the Fukunogyu beef platter for 2,980 yen. The portion was smaller than I expected, but the meat looked tender, which was a relief, as my kids only eat tender and delicious meat. The restaurant provided a shichirin grill for each table, allowing us to cook the meat with far-infrared rays. The shichirin was a bit small but just the right size for a leisurely meal. The meat was all tender and did not seem like it was only 2,980 yen for a platter. The restaurant is said to be run by a butcher, so they offer affordable and delicious meat by cutting out the middleman. My kids enjoyed the meal, so I was relieved. They ate so much that it was clear the food was delicious. Of course, yakiniku is best enjoyed with rice. I ordered the large rice portion, and it was huge. I mistakenly ordered two large rice portions thinking of sharing with my kids. It was a surprising amount, almost like a student meal. When ordering rice at Fukunogyu, be cautious as the portion is quite large. We also ordered some a la carte dishes in addition to the meat platter, and the total bill for a family of four was just over 10,000 yen. With two adults and two kids, each having a drink, the cost per person was around 3,500 to 4,000 yen. Unfortunately, the raw liver was sold out, which was the most popular item. I saw others enjoying it, and I vowed to come back for it. The cost-performance ratio is very high, and I will definitely return soon. It seems to be a popular restaurant, so it is recommended to make a reservation before going. The restaurant information is as follows: Fukunogyu - Imari Beef Yakiniku Address: 1-11-34 Iigura, Jonan-ku, Fukuoka City Phone: 092-210-7755 Hours: 17:00-24:00 (Last order for food 23:30) Lastly, each table has a water gun for cleaning up in case the grill gets dirty with fat and hormones. It is recommended to ask the staff to remove it immediately if there is a possibility of it becoming a toy for the kids.

I passed by a street I haven't been to in a while and noticed a new yakiniku restaurant had opened. It used to be an izakaya, I think? I decided to stop by and have a beer to start. This place seems to specialize in Saga's Imari beef, so I ordered the Imari beef kalbi and loin. Wow, it's so delicious! Grilling yakiniku on the charcoal grill is the best! I didn't realize Imari beef was this tender! They had two types of sauces, yakiniku sauce and ponzu, both were delicious! The regular kalbi was around 580 yen (I think...), and for the quality of the meat, it was very satisfying! They had barley rice, so I immediately ordered a large serving. I was surprised by the huge portion of barley rice they brought out! I was tempted to try the tororo rice, but I wanted to focus on the yakiniku, so I'll save it for next time. I'm curious about the zabuton menu item, so I'll challenge that next time. There's a really big sign outside, so it's easy to spot and find. The atmosphere is Japanese-style with lively music, making it a pleasant place to be.

I heard about Imari beef and decided to give it a try. I ordered the 3000 yen course. The taste of the meat itself was good, but the slices were a bit small... compared to other restaurants, they seemed quite thin and small. It was delicious though! Also, being able to have unlimited rice refills was very helpful. With that, you can eat to your heart's content. And the water gun used to put out the fire was quite fun. It can actually help put out the fire too! Next time, if I have the chance, I would like to try ordering a higher class menu.

We came with our family today♪ It's BBQ day♪ We're excited to eat delicious meat. We went to a BBQ restaurant in Iidabashi, which has a parking lot. There was also a temporary parking lot next to the restaurant. The seating at the restaurant is in a sunken kotatsu style. It's nice to be in a lively restaurant! Today, we ordered a meat platter and various individual items. It seems that this restaurant directly sources its meat from a ranch. I always thought Imari beef was expensive, but to be able to eat delicious meat at a reasonable price makes me feel like I got a good deal♪ Our list of BBQ restaurants to visit has grown again.

We went on Friday night with three people. We used a premium coupon from Tabelog (20% off). The location is easy to find near the Iidabashi 2-chome intersection, with convenient parking for 5-6 cars. The menu is quite cheap compared to the taste overall. The beef kalbi was of high quality and not dry, and the subton oil on the meat was delicious without any strong taste. The rice was also delicious. However, it was crowded on Friday, and we received some items we didn't order. The staff were friendly, and we were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. We ate so much that it cost around 18,000 yen for three people, but with the coupon, it was around 14,000 yen. It's a restaurant that we would like to visit again.

I came here because I wanted to eat meat after a long time. Although I often passed by in my car, I had never been inside before. My husband and I went in and ordered. We started with the recommended meats one by one. First, we tried the limited edition plate (I forgot the name). The meat was tender and delicious! The tongue and hormone were also very tasty. I don't eat meat often and I'm not very knowledgeable about it, but it was delicious. However, the salad was not that great. A bit disappointing. Overall, it was a satisfying evening.

I chose this barbecue restaurant for a new exploration. The place still feels new. The interior is like a casual izakaya (laughs). It's a down-to-earth barbecue restaurant without any stuffy atmosphere. We had reserved a private table with a sunken kotatsu, so we were seated right away and placed our order. We were told that there are quite a few differences between the regular menu and the premium menu, so we ordered a variety of items like kalbi, loin, negishio tan (green onion salted tongue), maruchou (beef intestines), yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), salad, etc. As for the taste...hmm, despite being advertised as using high-quality meat, the taste was just okay (-.-;) Considering the cost, it felt like it was on par with barbecue restaurants that offer all-you-can-eat for 3000-4000 yen.
