北京のダーシー
This was my first time trying yakiniku in Fukuoka. Without knowing which place was good, and not having the luxury to go wherever I heard was delicious like when I was in China, I carefully chose a restaurant based on reviews and price range. The place I went to was called "Fukunogyu," a yakiniku restaurant specializing in Imari beef. I had never heard of Imari beef before, so I was curious to try it. The menu and prices seemed reasonable. Lately, my kids have been eating more heartily, so I decided to go with the recommended value menu by the staff, the Fukunogyu beef platter for 2,980 yen. The portion was smaller than I expected, but the meat looked tender, which was a relief, as my kids only eat tender and delicious meat. The restaurant provided a shichirin grill for each table, allowing us to cook the meat with far-infrared rays. The shichirin was a bit small but just the right size for a leisurely meal. The meat was all tender and did not seem like it was only 2,980 yen for a platter. The restaurant is said to be run by a butcher, so they offer affordable and delicious meat by cutting out the middleman. My kids enjoyed the meal, so I was relieved. They ate so much that it was clear the food was delicious. Of course, yakiniku is best enjoyed with rice. I ordered the large rice portion, and it was huge. I mistakenly ordered two large rice portions thinking of sharing with my kids. It was a surprising amount, almost like a student meal. When ordering rice at Fukunogyu, be cautious as the portion is quite large. We also ordered some a la carte dishes in addition to the meat platter, and the total bill for a family of four was just over 10,000 yen. With two adults and two kids, each having a drink, the cost per person was around 3,500 to 4,000 yen. Unfortunately, the raw liver was sold out, which was the most popular item. I saw others enjoying it, and I vowed to come back for it. The cost-performance ratio is very high, and I will definitely return soon. It seems to be a popular restaurant, so it is recommended to make a reservation before going. The restaurant information is as follows: Fukunogyu - Imari Beef Yakiniku Address: 1-11-34 Iigura, Jonan-ku, Fukuoka City Phone: 092-210-7755 Hours: 17:00-24:00 (Last order for food 23:30) Lastly, each table has a water gun for cleaning up in case the grill gets dirty with fat and hormones. It is recommended to ask the staff to remove it immediately if there is a possibility of it becoming a toy for the kids.
