Letchon Paksiw (sweet stewed pork belly) with garlic rice and San Miguel beer were delicious.

At the entrance of Kurume's cultural district, there are many Filipino clubs surrounding a Filipino restaurant. I ordered Tocilog and it tasted just like when I was in the Philippines. Very satisfied.

Theme: Exploring a new dining place in Kurume City with a friend
We decided to try a Filipino restaurant in the cultural district since neither of us had tried Filipino cuisine before. The staff could speak Japanese and the service was decent. We asked what calamansi was, and they explained it was similar to a shikuwasa.
We ordered calamansi for 300 yen and had a toast with 500 yen draft beer. We were intrigued by the unique dishes recommended by the staff. We tried the Bulalo for 1000 yen, which was a Filipino version of oxtail soup. It was a bit bland and the quality of the meat was not the best, so we didn't feel like having seconds.
We also tried the Sisig for 800 yen, which was finely chopped and grilled pig's ears. The texture was a bit chewy and crispy, and although it tasted good at first, we didn't feel like finishing it after a few bites.
Overall, it was an interesting first experience with Filipino cuisine. Whether it was delicious or not aside, it was a learning experience.
