儚くも永遠のタカシ
I used to be a fan of Niconico Sushi. About 6 years ago, the second owner took over and revamped the restaurant. Initially, the first owner was still present at the restaurant, but eventually, the second owner took full control. After the renovation, they removed the conveyor belt and changed to a counter-style dining experience. Prices went up slightly, and the total bill increased by about 1.5 times. Despite this, I continued to support the second owner who served delicious sushi. I was unable to visit due to a job transfer around 2017, but when I returned in January 2019, I noticed that the restaurant had been renovated again. The atmosphere had changed slightly, with a new menu and long plates placed on the table. When I ordered about 5 items, I only received one piece of Hirame sushi instead of two. I was confused and felt that the restaurant was now more focused on serving alcohol. The traditional charm of Niconico Sushi seemed to have faded, with the removal of soy sauce dispensers and sushi plates, along with the increased prices. Previously, when you ordered one piece of salmon, you would get two sushi pieces, but now it was only one. The quality of some items, like salmon, seemed to have declined, and beloved dishes like grilled conger eel were no longer available. The variety of sushi toppings also appeared to have decreased. Additionally, due to understaffing, orders were limited to about 5 pieces of sushi, making it difficult to eat to satisfaction. The whole experience took longer than usual. I was truly disappointed and saddened by the changes, as I had eagerly anticipated my visit. I usually leave the restaurant feeling full and satisfied, but on this occasion, I left with only 30% of my stomach filled. It was a new and disheartening experience for me. I had been a loyal customer of Niconico Sushi for 10 years, but now I have decided not to return. Goodbye, my youth. Farewell, my Niconico Sushi.
