SEATTLE'S BEST COFFEE JR Hakata Store was a much-needed oasis for me after a hot and tiring day at Yoshinogari Historical Park. I was feeling exhausted and thirsty on my way back to JR Hakata Station, so I decided to take a break and grab something to drink. This coffee shop, located inside the station, also sells those sweet Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. Are people in Fukuoka and Hakata fond of sweet treats? Especially considering how intensely sweet Cinnabon is. I wanted something refreshing to cool down, so I ordered the Fruit Cooler with green apple. It was cold, sweet, and delicious. For some reason, SEATTLE'S BEST COFFEE seems to be quite popular in Fukuoka and Hakata. It's not just in JR Hakata Station, but also in the adjacent commercial complex Amu Plaza Hakata, as well as near the Hakata-Chikushi Exit. I've also seen their stores on Tenjin Nishi-dori and in the Tenjin Underground Shopping Area. There are a total of 19 stores in Fukuoka Prefecture. I wondered if it was a local business, and upon researching, I found out that it is operated by a subsidiary of JR Kyushu.

I visited the store for the first time. There were two types of iced coffee, drip and cold brew, and I chose cold brew. It had a soft mouthfeel and was easy to drink. Next time, I'll try the drip coffee. Thank you for the meal.

The location is convenient near the Shinkansen gates! It's located inside Hakata Station, and the service is quick. They provide takeout in containers so you can easily take it with you. The warm apple tart wasn't too sweet and easy to eat.

For breakfast at Hakata Station, I couldn't find a good seat near the Shinkansen area, so I gave up. I was unsure what set to get, but ended up choosing a hot dog. I like them, but I now know that the sandwiches are recommended. The hot dog had a firm bun and was quite powerful. It was satisfying to eat. I had coffee in the morning!

Unlike Mister Donut and Starbucks, it has a good turnover even during busy tea time at 3 o'clock, so you can always find a seat and use it for a break. The sweet drinks are not too sweet, and the coffee is delicious. I also like the brisk working staff.

After finishing my esthetic treatment, I was walking back to the hotel when I spotted a delicious looking drink. I decided to get it to go and enjoy it at the hotel. I ordered the Tropical Iced Tea for ¥560 and the 15-Grain BLT Egg Sandwich for ¥480. The Tropical Iced Tea was really delicious, with pineapple, mango, dragon fruit, nata de coco, and mint. Unfortunately, there was no spoon included for the fruit, but luckily I was able to use one from the hotel. The BLT sandwich had a tasty 15-grain bread, but the filling was a bit lacking for the price. I don't usually walk around train stations as I mostly drive, but it's fun to come across shops like this. Overall, it was a pleasant encounter with this shop. Thank you for the meal.

A chain cafe located on the first floor near the Shinkansen side of JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It's a common store found in JR Kyushu stations, but the coffee here is quite delicious. I stopped by before heading to the airport after checking out of my accommodation. I had the Morning Coffee for 290 yen. The coffee had a good balance of flavor and bitterness, making it tasty. The ventilation could be better as it wasn't very cool inside, but the fact that almost every seat has an outlet is convenient. Thank you for the meal.

Before boarding the limited express, stop by here! This cafe has several locations in Kyushu, and this is my first visit. The store is located inside JR Hakata Station, close to the ticket gate, which is convenient. There are power outlets available, making it very user-friendly. I ordered the Cold Brew Coffee in a tall size for 430 yen including tax. I wanted something to drink while traveling, so I chose the large size. The taste was... average, I guess. I used it for a meeting with colleagues at the next visit. The store was crowded with many similar businessmen. I ordered a tall size coffee as I planned to stay for a while, and it was quite voluminous. The taste was light and not too distinctive, likely to be well-received by everyone. By the time I finished drinking, it had cooled down, but it was still enjoyable. It would have been more convenient if there were power outlets, but the tables were compact overall, making it difficult to spread out materials. However, it was a nice place for a short break.

End-of-year business trip to Miyazaki and Miyakonojo. After arriving at Hakata Station from Fukuoka Airport with plenty of time before transferring to the Shinkansen, I decided to take a break at Seattle's Best. The station was bustling with people, but this cafe was also quite busy despite the ongoing pandemic. There were a few people working on their laptops, but I couldn't help but think they could do that at home instead. I ordered a Mocha Chocolate to enjoy something cold and relax. I could have gone for an Italian soda, but that might have been too quick for a takeout (laughs). I've always thought that Seattle's Best is quite common in Kyushu, and it seems like a convenient choice for a quick break or takeout during business trips in Kyushu.

Before boarding the Shinkansen, I stopped by this morning and it was crowded. I chose the hot dog set from the morning menu (400 yen). It came in a winter-themed mug. The hot dog had a crispy bun and juicy sausage, which was undeniably delicious. It warmed me up and gave me energy. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I realized that I had accumulated quite a few JR Kyushu points, so I looked into where I could use them and found out that I could use them here. I decided to use them right away. I ordered a morning coffee for 250 yen and a butter croissant for 190 yen. After ordering, I realized that the morning set was cheaper. The croissant was fluffy and delicious. I still have a lot of points left, so I will use them again.

I was asked to buy CINNABON, which is not sold in Kansai, and I came to Seattle's Best Coffee JR Hakata store. CINNABON seems to be sold in Kyushu from Kanto and west of Hiroshima. There are also shops in Oita and Kokura, which I visited during this business trip. I bought a set of 3 mini CINNABON for 980 yen. It includes Caramel Apple Mini Bon, Caramel Apple Choco Bon, and Mini Bon Classic. CINNABON is sweet and delicious. It's also nostalgic. Thank you for the meal.

There is a shop facing Hakata Station Central Street and the Free Connection Passage. I stopped by after checking out of the hotel because I still had some time before my train. It's convenient as it's close to the ticket gate. I had a tall size cold brew coffee (390 yen including tax). The cold brew coffee had a refreshing taste, was well chilled, and delicious. It's the perfect coffee for these hot days. The passage viewed from inside the shop seems to be returning to its usual lively atmosphere. As a side note, it seems that this shop also serves as a specialty store for Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. Thank you for the meal!

After-meal tea time. This cafe isn't very familiar in Kansai, so I decided to give it a try. I found out that it's also in the Apa Hotel in Sannomiya, I had no idea (´∀｀) I wonder if scones and muffins are their specialty... Unfortunately, it didn't leave much of an impression on me.

So, we got the Cinnabon Classic and an iced latte set. The Cinnabon was surprisingly large and sweet, just like the Cinnamon Melts from American McDonald's. It brought back memories of that taste. Haha!

This is a chain cafe located right next to the ticket gates at Hakata Station. It's very convenient when you need to catch a train at a specific time. They offer a variety of light meals such as sandwiches, hot dogs, croissants, and cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls are especially delicious as they are a collaboration with a specialty store. The croissants are also light and tasty. I ordered a short size cafe latte and was surprised by how big the cup was.

After having breakfast at Hakata Station, I felt like having some coffee so I was looking for a Starbucks. Instead, I found a sign that said "CINNABON" and decided to go in. The shop is called Seattle's Best Coffee. Inside the display case, there were Cinnabons, but I couldn't remember if they were the same as before. Anyway, I ordered an iced coffee. I planned to enjoy it inside the shop, but the weather was nice so I sat on a bench outside the station, enjoying my coffee while feeling the breeze.

Hello, it's me, food fighter Kyantama. Today, I rode my Chihuahua to Hakata Station. I did my usual rounds at Daiei. I met up with a friend who looks like JY Park, who I was close with in college at Hakata Gate, and then met up with a Nepalese exchange student at Chikushi Gate. We went to a well-known American coffee shop. As the leader of the Patriotic Party, I ordered a matcha drink. It was really good! JY had a drink that tasted like tonkotsu soup, and the Nepalese student had a brown drink. We ended up just chatting about our college days, so we could have just had hot water, but they wanted something with color. Well, the prices were high, but all the shops are pretty similar. It's all about the experience.
