I went to "Hakata Kitaro Sushi," which I wanted to visit since it opened last year, with my friends. It is affiliated with the popular yakitori restaurant, Rokusan. The sushi was delicious, and they also offered a variety of dishes using seasonal ingredients like Ishiyaki. It's a place that suits any occasion ⭐︎ The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively. I am very satisfied!

It was a youthful and cost-effective restaurant. From the outside, the restaurant looked very expensive, making it intimidating to enter alone. It seems like a place you would want to bring someone special to. The staff's dedication to making it a good restaurant is evident as soon as you visit. It stands out from regular izakayas and is just below high-end sushi restaurants, making it a casual and approachable place. It's perfect for when you want to dress up a bit but can't afford a bill of 50,000 to 60,000 yen for two people. The visually appealing dishes are meticulously prepared, and the staff pays attention to every detail. They even rearrange the presentation of large dishes as you eat, showing their attentiveness to each customer. The personalized service is a strength that AI cannot replicate, and it seems like the staff has received thorough training, possibly due to the 20 years of experience in the sushi industry of the young manager running the restaurant.

I went to "Shari Koma" without knowing what it was, and was surprised to find that both the sushi rice and the portions were small. I ordered seared scallops but they weren't actually seared. We had appetizers of whelk, mozuku seaweed, 14 pieces of sushi, 2 fried oysters, maguro tataki, cream cheese tofu, and cream cheese changjahai highballs, and the total came to around 13,000 yen.

It's delicious! However, the pricing is high for low-paid office workers. The age range of the customers seemed to be on the older side. I love sea urchin, so I tried the ultimate sea urchin dish (one piece for 1,000 yen), and while it was delicious and not fishy, I couldn't help but think there are other places that are cheaper and even more delicious. I guess it was too early for me to come here.

The fried oysters are big and juicy, I always have two of them. The famous fried chicken is just right, not too overpowering. The grilled shrimp is huge! I was curious about the "tear roll" so I ordered it, it was a wasabi roll and it was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. The sushi is perfect for finishing off the meal with its compact rice. Very satisfied, will come back again.

When you enter the restaurant, you will see an open kitchen with a distinctive counter featuring a bright wood tone. There are table seats and private rooms at the back. Let's start with a toast with a draft beer!! The recommended dish that was brought to us was a seafood assortment on a sieve, including horse mackerel, large shrimp, golden cuttlefish, mackerel, and grilled fish marinated in miso. Among them, the "horse mackerel" caught my eye. The thick flesh was delicious! It takes time to grill, so we ordered it first. We also ordered sea bream salt yukhoe for 1280 yen and seared sushi of kamasu, ark shell, and cured mackerel. The appetizer was turban shell and mozuku seaweed vinegar. The sea bream salt yukhoe becomes creamy when mixed with sesame oil, salt, and egg yolk. The standard yukhoe also looked good. The horse mackerel was grilled slowly, with thick flesh and a good amount of fat! It crumbles easily with chopsticks and is piping hot and delicious. Although the sushi took some time, it was fresh and the ark shell was particularly good without any strong taste. For drinks, we had a refreshing mandarin soda with pulp, which had a nice sweetness and texture. The staff was lively and provided energetic and polite service. Thank you for the delicious meal.

But the highlight of the day was definitely the flavor of the yaitogatsuo fat, surpassing even bluefin tuna! The sake from Daigo, the oldest sake brewery in Fukuoka, was also delicious.
