I had been curious about this restaurant every time I passed by. I had tried motsunabe (tripe hot pot) in Hakata before, so when I saw that this restaurant also served it, I made a reservation. The interior of the restaurant is quite small, with mostly counter seats (and one table seat in the back). However, to my disappointment, the motsunabe was under renovation and not available. I decided to leave the restaurant early as I really wanted to try the motsunabe. I checked on Tabelog and saw that the menu had mentioned it was under renovation about two months ago, so I wondered if they were really planning to bring it back. I decided to try their yakitori instead, which seemed to be their specialty. The skewers were grilled right in front of us, which was enjoyable to watch. The flavors were rich and the sauce was generous, which I liked. However, the prices seemed a bit high, and the service was very slow. Overall, I would recommend this place for those who enjoy strong flavors, but be prepared for a slow dining experience.

Chairman and I went to Osaka for some gourmet food. Today we went to Masaya, the third generation in Tamatsukuri. It's a Hakata yakitori restaurant. The yakitori here seems to be of a high level. The chairman heard about it from a customer who he gave a ride to in a taxi. It's conveniently located near Tamatsukuri Station. The customer who recommended this place happened to be sitting next to the chairman. When we tried the yakitori, it was indeed well-made. The chicken liver skewers were especially delicious. Eating them with sesame oil and salt is the best. It's amazing to find a yakitori restaurant like this in this area. It's a counter-only restaurant, making it easy for even solo diners to enter.

Today, even though I had already eaten, I really wanted to eat yakitori so I came to Masaya, the third-generation in Tamatsukuri by myself! I ordered a draft beer as my drink. Malt beer goes perfectly with yakitori. They brought out complimentary cabbage with a light ponzu sauce, which was a great palate cleanser. It was so delicious that I ended up eating more than half before the yakitori arrived. I asked for their specialties: shiro (white meat), pork belly, akasen (chicken breast), maruchou (chicken thigh), and the elusive liver. Everything was delicious and I was completely satisfied. The restaurant was bustling with regular customers that day. It seems like a place where the counter is the main seating area, and you can easily walk in alone and enjoy delicious food with great cost performance. The regular customers were friendly and chatted with me. I definitely want to come back to this place many times.

Located in a narrow alley off the shopping street of Tamatsukuri. This was my second visit, and I was feeling a bit tipsy. The restaurant is small with only one table and counter seats. The female owner runs the place, and I heard she also runs a ramen and tsukemen shop from the Taisho era. The main dish here is Hakata-style rolled skewers, where vegetables are wrapped in pork belly slices. They are served with pickled cabbage. There is also a variety of izakaya-style side dishes available. The atmosphere is great, and the owner is friendly and made the dining experience enjoyable. Despite being a weekday, the place was quickly filled up, and it seems to have many regular customers. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The dishes are carefully prepared and delicious. The motsunabe (tripe hot pot) and basashi (horse sashimi) are particularly outstanding.
