Located just a short walk from Kokura Station, this izakaya is situated above Yakiniku Tenho. Since everywhere was fully booked on the weekend, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered some dishes that looked like they would be perfect for Instagram. The long-size sushi was surprisingly small and just the right amount for one person. The towering Ebi Fry was quite large and looked impressive. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively and seemed to be popular among students.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Kokura Station, and easy to find if you head towards Yakiniku Tenho. We ordered the 4000 yen all-you-can-drink course, and the fish dishes were substantial, the sashimi was thick and satisfying, there were grilled fish, and in the end, there was sushi and dessert. My colleagues were very satisfied. The all-you-can-drink option had a variety of drinks, including beer and sour drinks, so we could enjoy without getting bored.

Located a 3-minute walk from Kokura Station, this seafood izakaya is situated across from the Gyoza ○sho Kokura Station Front Store. It is on the 2nd floor of Century Building (above the yakiniku restaurant ○ho). Without much research, I decided to enter the restaurant on a whim, being a lover of seafood. The interior of the restaurant is stylish with a slightly dim atmosphere and semi-private rooms. There are many staff members, seemingly part-time workers, creating a lively atmosphere. Here is a brief analysis of the menu items I ordered: - Sushi Dog: I ordered the ultimate kappa, sea bream with salted kelp, and tuna. They were served on a double-tray with hand-rolled seaweed, sushi rice, and toppings, allowing customers to make their own modern-style hand-rolled sushi. The freshness and taste of the ingredients were within expectations, so there was no particularly strong impression. - Half-cooked Egg Potato Salad: A common smooth potato salad topped with a half-cooked boiled egg and crispy bacon. It is unclear whether this dish is visually appealing, but the young people sitting next to me were taking photos enthusiastically. Personally, I was concerned about the hygiene aspect of using mass-produced ingredients. - Seafood Yukke on Avocado: A dish exactly as named, utilizing parts of seafood not typically used in sushi or sashimi. - Tuna Sashimi: Contrary to the image in the photo, the tuna had a lot of sinew. Additional Information: - Credit cards accepted - PayPay accepted Overall, the restaurant seemed to attract many young people seeking visually appealing dishes. However, the sushi dog felt more like an experience of receiving ingredients rather than a traditional sushi-making process. Each piece costs around 300-600 yen, so ordering 2-3 pieces can add up (opting for a course menu might be more cost-effective). Personally, I still prefer traditional sushi crafted by skilled chefs. Hmm, I wonder why? I ended up making a reservation right away after seeing it on my Instagram friend's post. It's the restaurant "Uoism" located next to Yakiniku Tenho on the second floor. I went there for the Ebi Fry. The appetizer was Yudofu (hot tofu). It was served in a small pot with dashi broth, and you warm it up as you eat. They have a touch panel for ordering, which seems to be a common trend lately.
