It was a retro-style cafe with a cozy atmosphere. Although there was a cafe space, it felt more like a sweets shop. When I visited, there was only one other customer, making it very quiet and pleasant. The other customers who came later also seemed to be regulars.

♪There were various eras♪(Sung by Miyuki Nakajima) I finally visited "Okadaya," a Western confectionery shop and cafe with a long-awaited "daily lunch special for 650 yen" sign! The place was full of male customers, with a senior couple working hard. ★Daily lunch special for 650 yen including tax♪ ◎Tonkatsu and fresh vegetable salad♪ The tonkatsu was huge and delicious! ◎Sauteed potatoes, kinpira, broccoli♪ I was so happy to have such delicious side dishes! ◎Rice, miso soup, pickled plum♪ The miso soup had a carefully crafted flavor. Please continue to stay healthy and keep up the good work!

The shop sells sweets, cakes, and also functions as a café. There is a robot named Pepper at the entrance. Pepper's presence in shops seems to be decreasing, but some hotels and major chain stores are renewing their contracts. I have seen Pepper at a confectionery shop in Namba as well. With the increase in foreign tourists, having a convenient bilingual assistant like Pepper seems useful. In Osaka Minami, there is a popular okonomiyaki restaurant with cabin attendants (flight attendants) from international flights. They provide perfect interpretation, knowledge of foreign customs, and excellent customer service, making them popular among foreign visitors. With the advancement of artificial intelligence, robots like Pepper could offer even better customer service. The morning service offered was a typical breakfast menu.

Located in the middle of the Tamaya, Hinode-dori shopping street, Okadaya is a Western confectionery shop. This shopping street wakes up late, with most shops still closed after 10 am. Among them, Okadaya was open and had a café menu displayed outside, so I decided to go in. The entrance of the shop is wide, with MOROZOFF products lined up in the front, along with other Western sweets. It seems like they sell pre-made products, as I didn't see any homemade cakes. The back of the shop where they sell products is turned into a café. There are six four-person tables arranged, allowing you to sit comfortably. It was the perfect time for morning coffee, so I ordered the service set. Toast, boiled egg, and salad for only 350 yen. A great price point typical of this downtown area. And don't underestimate the morning set. The basket that came out had a thick slice of toast (cut in half), boiled egg, and a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and cabbage. I couldn't help but be surprised. I even worried about their profitability. The hot coffee was American-style, light and easy to drink. For those who prefer strong and aromatic coffee, it might be a bit lacking. Nevertheless, this morning set is a super deal. I spent a happy morning in the quiet and calm atmosphere of the shop.

It is located in the Tamatsukuri shopping street near Tamatsukuri station, relatively close to the station. They sell coffee and gift sweets, and it's a good idea to check the opening hours for morning service. The place is clean, and they also have a cafe in the back. I ordered the morning set and was delighted by the fresh salad that came with it. It felt like a cozy atmosphere with regular customers coming in one after another. The coffee was freshly brewed and delicious. It was quiet with only people coming alone and for some reason Hawaiian music was playing, creating a mysterious atmosphere.
