The main street was crowded, but I was able to get a table on the third floor. I went alone, but the portion size was generous. I ordered the modern yaki dish, which was just right for two people. The drinks were also good, so I left satisfied! It's fine to go alone, but I recommend going with two or more people! The taste was excellent!

I have known Tsuruhashi Fugetsu for a long time. Their egg noodle yakisoba is always delicious no matter how many times I eat it! The okonomiyaki with noodles, called "modern yaki," is also recommended. I feel like it was not as perfected back when I was a student, but it was still delicious. I would like to visit the main store in Tsuruhashi as well! Thank you for the meal.

I was enjoying my okonomiyaki, but when I tried to order a drink, I was told that last orders had already been taken. I asked if I was supposed to eat the remaining okonomiyaki with just the water in my cup, and they said yes. It would have been nice if they had informed me earlier that last orders were 40 minutes ago. In the end, I had to eat my okonomiyaki with just water and left feeling disappointed. I won't be coming back, even though the okonomiyaki was delicious. It's really a shame.

We visited the restaurant with our family at an early time, around 11:30, and already 70% of the seats were filled. Amazing. We ordered the beef tendon and green onion yakitori, oyster balls, and a draft beer. All the grilled dishes were prepared by the staff. The first person who grilled for us seemed a bit inexperienced, maybe a new staff member? They made a critical mistake of forgetting to put oysters in the oyster balls, so everything they grilled before was taken back. Well, these things happen, keep up the good work! Speaking of mistakes, we almost finished our beer by the time the grilled dishes were ready, so we ordered a second round at the same time. You gotta have them together! When we tasted the dishes, they were quite delicious. They were light and had a great balance overall. Even the kids who initially said they didn't want any ended up eating, so we also ordered pork balls. It felt like we were enjoying a delicious okonomiyaki after a long time. The kids enjoyed it too, and we had a great time as a family.

- Beef tendon negi tamayaki around 1300 yen
- Fugetsu yaki (modern yaki) around 1500 yen
I came to the okonomiyaki restaurant feeling full from a previous meal mishap, but ended up ordering only one okonomiyaki per person. I should have just ordered some appetizers instead. My brain wasn't functioning well due to being full (lol). It was around the time when the Goto Eat campaign had just started, so I remember using it. I actually wanted to go to a famous restaurant, but I got lured in by the deals... In the end, I thought I should have just gone to a well-known okonomiyaki place. The overall atmosphere was very Osaka-like, with lots of people around, which was a bit intimidating even though the place was not crowded. The restaurant was spacious, but the restroom was not so great. I was surprised by the high prices of the okonomiyaki here, and also by the fact that the staff make it for you. Is this different from Fugetsu in Sapporo...? The taste was nothing special, both the modern yaki and the regular yakisoba were just okay. The sauce may be original, but it didn't stand out much. The beef tendon version had a slightly stronger flavor. It made me quite thirsty. Maybe this is the Osaka style, with bold flavors. My stay in Osaka was short, so I didn't get to try the best okonomiyaki or takoyaki. Thank you for the meal.
On a side note, this review was from October. I am currently seeking out delicious local specialties for a rematch. Stay tuned for my reviews on Tabelog... From now on, I will be focusing on reviewing Osaka restaurants, but I will return to reviewing Sapporo restaurants later on.

A shop in Dotonbori that I used to visit every time I went to Osaka. I have always loved Tsuruhashi Fugetsu♪ Fugetsu-yaki (squid, shrimp, pork, beef) and Fugetsu Deluxe yakisoba with mochi and cheese. The staff grills everything for you so you just have to eat (^^♪

In Dotonbori, there is a shop called Tsuruhashi Fugetsu. I used to go there every time I visited Osaka. I have always loved their food. Fugetsu-yaki (squid, shrimp, pork, beef) and geso salt-grilled are my favorites. The staff grills everything for you, so all you have to do is eat.

My younger brother came to visit from Tokyo, so we decided to go eat okonomiyaki. It was crowded everywhere during lunchtime. We found a place called Fugetsu and decided to go in. I didn't have a good impression of Fugetsu, to be honest. We ordered the Fugetsu Deluxe, tonpeiyaki, and a few other things. They cook the food right in front of you and do various things. It took about 15 minutes for the food to be ready. The taste was okay, nothing special. I guess that's what Fugetsu is like. I need to do more research on okonomiyaki restaurants.

The final game at Osaka Dome to wrap up the away series was a great victory. The numbers speak for themselves. But you can't complain when you win. We had okonomiyaki at Dotonbori for the celebration. The cheese-filled butatama from Fugetsu is the best. If you want to eat properly, go for Yukari, but for late-night junk food, Fugetsu is the way to go. After that, it's just time to sleep and head back home. August is tough with weekly trips to Kansai.

I drank a lot during the day for about three hours, so I went back to the hotel and ended up falling asleep. I think I may have had too much Mega High. In the evening, I woke up to the sound of heavy rain. Oh no! It's raining hard. I was thinking of going out for dinner, but now it seems like a hassle. I wanted to go to Tsuruhashi Fuga at the Oriental Hotel for okonomiyaki, but it's far from here. Ended up going to Tsuruhashi Fuga near Ebisu Bridge. It was empty inside, maybe because it's popular or because there were no other options nearby. I ordered the same "Beef Tendon Negi Tamamodern" that I had in July. Personally, I think the one at Oriental Hotel Shinsaibashi is much tastier. The beef tendon there is mixed with seasoned ingredients and cooked beautifully with eggs surrounding it. But at Ebisu Bridge, it was just boiled beef tendon mixed and cooked without much flavor. It was disappointing, with a lot of green onions sprinkled on top. It didn't look like the photo, and I regretted not going a little further to eat at a better place. It's clear that compromising on food and choosing a restaurant is not a good idea. The service at Shinsaibashi was also much better. It was a disappointing dinner.

Osaka is a okonomiyaki restaurant located on the 3rd floor of a building just across from Dotonbori and Ebisu Bridge. We visited without a reservation around 8:30 pm with a party of three. It was crowded, so we waited for about 10 minutes before being seated at a table. We ordered squid and pork okonomiyaki with cheese topping, and melon soda, which came to a total of ¥1730 per person. The staff cooked the okonomiyaki right at our table with impressive skill. Once it was done, they also added the sauce and mayonnaise for us. We asked for extra sauce, and they generously obliged. The okonomiyaki in Osaka is truly delicious. The sauce has a rich and mellow flavor with a hint of spiciness that adds a nice touch. Even though the popular places with long lines are great, this less crowded spot was also very satisfying. We were able to enjoy authentic okonomiyaki. Thank you for the meal.

When I come to Dotonbori, I always visit this restaurant. Today, I came with my sister and daughter. One of the unique features of this restaurant is that you can see the staff cooking right in front of you, so you can watch them skillfully cook your food. They also have izakaya-style menu, so be careful not to eat too much while waiting! lol

I tried to find an okonomiyaki restaurant in Dotonbori, but most of them had a wait of over an hour. I ended up going into one that caught my eye and was seated immediately. It's a chain restaurant, it seems. The food was decent, but is it really worth the tourist spot prices?

We went to Dotonbori Fugetsu with the Osaka Prefecture Small Group Support Points in mind. I had only been to the Tsuruhashi main store many years ago, but I remembered that the yakisoba with boiled thick noodles and modern-yaki were delicious. We ordered the course for 3-4 people priced at 5,940 yen, but it did not qualify for the points, so we managed to eat it between the two of us. The dishes we ordered were: 1. Squid soy butter yakisoba (960 yen) 2. Tonpeiyaki (600 yen) 3. Mixed yakisoba 2 servings, large (1,640 yen) 4. Cheese and pork modern-yaki (1,310 yen) 5. Fugetsu-yaki (1,430 yen). The taste ratings were: 1. ☆ 2. ☆ 3. ☆☆☆ 4. ☆ 5. ☆☆. Overall, the food was rated one star. The pricing was too high for the quality of the ingredients and toppings provided. The location in Dotonbori is great for tourists, but the prices should be more reasonable. The frozen squid in dish 1 was thin and served with a little chopped cabbage, butter, and soy sauce. The frozen shrimp used in the mixed yakisoba and Fugetsu-yaki was fishy. The egg in the tonpeiyaki was hard, and the pork was dry. The modern-yaki had a powdery texture. After finishing a full serving of yakisoba each, we were quite full. Sharing with four people would not be enough, but with two people, we were very full. Unfortunately, both my friend and I agreed that we would not revisit this restaurant.

I want to eat kushikatsu or konamon in Namba. My friend took me to Fuzuki in Tsuruhashi, even though I wonder why we're in Namba going to a Tsuruhashi place. I won't ask my friend why. I want to go to another place, so I ordered drinks, appetizers, and deluxe modern-yaki. The staff said they will do everything until it's cooked. I guess my friend isn't confident in cooking it themselves. Even though she's a woman from Osaka, she can't handle it, haha. It took about 20 minutes from when they started cooking until the deluxe modern-yaki was finally ready. It might be a bit too much for two people. Well, the problem might be with the person who chugged two mega lemon sours before it was done cooking. Konamon with lemon sour, amazing. I'll definitely come back.

A friend from out of town requested to eat okonomiyaki while visiting Osaka, and specifically wanted to go to a chain restaurant. I thought of "Tsukishoku" as a popular chain for okonomiyaki, so we went there. The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of a building right in front of Ebisubashi, so you can enjoy your meal while overlooking the bridge. As a local, I found the okonomiyaki to be average, but my friend was pleasantly surprised by the quality at a chain restaurant. It was nice to see them enjoy it so much.笑
