★ Meat Sane Egg Ankake Udon is available from January 24th to late March! Prices are: regular size 690 yen, large 820 yen, and value size 950 yen. It was Udon with minced beef and combined minced meat and egg ankake. I wanted to try tempura as well, so I ordered the regular size for 690 yen. The Udon was chewy with a good texture, and you could taste the flavor of the ingredients in this homemade delicious freshly made Udon. The slightly sweet seasoned beef with egg ankake, topped with a mixture of chicken and pork mince seasoned with ginger, was a delightful combination. When you slurp the Udon, the egg ankake and the minced meat mix well, allowing you to taste the deliciousness of the meat in every bite. I love mentaiko, so I also ordered a side of spicy and salty mentaiko for some flavor variation. Additionally, I ordered shrimp tempura and crab stick tempura, both of which were delicious and piping hot. It was a delightful meal. It's been a while since I visited Marugame Seimen. Today, I didn't have much time and was feeling hungry, so I opted for a quick and convenient lunch. I ordered the limited-time Tomato Tamago Curry Udon with a side of rice and added cheese topping. The process was smooth and efficient - I ordered, received my food, went to the tempura corner, and then the onigiri corner in a seamless flow. The curry had a nice balance of tomato flavor, acidity, and spices, making it delicious and healthy. The freshly boiled udon was chewy and satisfying, especially with the sesame and green onion toppings I added. The paper apron provided made eating worry-free. After finishing my meal, I returned the tray at the designated spot and exited through the designated door. There was also a takeout booth available. I collected points by scanning my receipt on my phone and received udon tickets at the register. Overall, the experience at Marugame Seimen was convenient and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited Marugame Seimen. I haven't been to a self-serve udon restaurant in a long time. I always thought these kinds of places were really cheap, but it's actually a bit more expensive than I expected. After some hesitation, I ordered the Yakitate Gyusuki Kamatama (720 yen). They cook the meat right in front of you, so it's really freshly made! The sweet and savory sauce mixed with the egg yolk on the meat and udon is quite tasty.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:23 on a normal day and left around 11:50 with 20% occupancy. There were 4 people inside when I left, including 6 trainees. We ordered Nagasaki champon udon for 800 yen. I forgot to take a photo, but it was delicious. Seasonal items are a bit pricey, but overall, whether to have plain udon or with toppings, it was a satisfying meal. I look forward to dining here again someday. Thank you for the meal.

Just that alone was delicious, but then, tomatoes are generously added and stir-fried. Finally, it is combined with Marugame Seimen's special curry to complete the dish. The strong taste of tomatoes combined with the spicy curry creates a two-tier attack of deliciousness. ★ Half-Boiled Egg Tempura I love eggs, so I ordered the half-boiled egg tempura and placed it on top of the meat and tomato egg curry for a creamy touch. ★ Chicken Tempura Chicken breast meat marinated in a special sauce and fried at the perfect timing to retain juiciness, resulting in a juicy chicken tempura. It was delicious when eaten with tempura dipping sauce, light and satisfying. ★ Shrimp Tempura I always order this because I love shrimp tempura. I arrived at around 12:29 on a regular day and left at around 12:50. I had the Tamatama Curry Udon (with mini rice) for 690 yen, plus a hot spring egg for an additional 70 yen. It was delicious! You can't underestimate chain restaurants. It was said to be created by Mr. Matsunoka of TOKIO. The garlic-infused tomato base with creamy egg sauce was so tasty that I finished it all in one go. The beauty of Marugame Seimen is the ability to customize your meal. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular day at 12:20, the place is always bustling with people lining up. I had the Kake Udon set with a small Yakiniku Don, which cost 300 yen + 520 yen. It's the reliable Marugame Seimen, delicious and probably udon from a famous shop in Kagawa Prefecture. Even if they serve it in a different bowl, you'll still enjoy it and finish it up. The noodles are not too firm but rather chewy and smooth, similar to the udon from a famous shop in Kagawa. As for the Yakiniku Don, it tastes like the meat from another brand, Yamaki Shouten. I went to Marugame Seimen in Moriguchi, Osaka to try their limited-time dish "Gyukarubi Reimen" (Cold noodles with grilled beef). The dish is available from July 14th to September 1st, and only at selected stores. In Osaka, there are 34 out of 54 stores offering this dish, including the Moriguchi store. I exchanged 3 "udon tickets" for a "hot spring egg" topping. I ordered the regular size for 690 yen, which came with grilled beef, kimchi, komatsuna, bean sprout namul, and half a boiled egg. The grilled beef is cooked with bean paste and garlic-flavored sauce right next to the register. The hot grilled beef was delicious! Then I tried the clear cold beef tail soup base... so tasty! The freshly made cold udon was smooth and chewy, with a great contrast between the hot grilled beef and cold soup. There is also a spicy version available for an extra 30 yen, but not many people seemed to order it. Perhaps the name "Reimen" instead of "Hiyashi Udon" is not as familiar to some customers.

Marugame Seimen vs. There are many udon chains in Osaka city where there are multiple udon chains within a 5-minute walk, including similar self-service udon restaurants near this shop. It's a bit mysterious why there are similar self-service udon restaurants nearby in places like Fukae Bridge, Nagahara, Higashisumiyoshi, and Higashi-Osaka, but it's nice to be able to enjoy both. This shop doesn't seem to have a significantly larger store area compared to other shops, but it has a total of 84 seats including counter, table seats, and tatami seats, which is quite a lot compared to other shops. Also, since it is a suburban type shop, the parking lot is spacious and easy to use as it is not a lock-type parking lot like in the city. The bicycle parking lot also seems to be quite large. I had to walk a little bit from the station, but it was a straight line. It was around 3:30 pm, but surprisingly there were quite a few customers, and the staff were managing with about 5 people. I tried the kake udon for comparison, and it was served hot in a bowl, with a self-service udon broth that was hot and chewy, with tempura flakes the size of popcorn, and it was delicious as always. Even though toppings like meat and tempura are delicious, the determining factor is the flavor of the kake udon, kettle-cooked udon, etc. Toppings and menu variations seem to contribute to sales, as the shop was full of customers, truly living up to its reputation as the champion, Marugame Seimen.

Osaka is in Moriguchi City. Along Route 13, across from the Gyomu Super Moriguchi store, there was a restaurant here. I happened to be working nearby, and I didn't feel like going to the food court at Aeon, so I drove around and ended up here. It was right at lunchtime when I visited, so the parking lot was full, and there was quite a line at the entrance. I hesitated with my friend about going to another store, but we figured other restaurants in the area would be the same. So, we waited in line for about 7-8 minutes until it was our turn, ordered udon first, a large serving of warm bukkake style. Then, we lined up at the counter for onigiri & tempura, including inari sushi and vegetable tempura on our plates. We then moved along the line, paid at the register, found an empty table, and started eating. The udon seemed to be freshly cooked, but surprisingly lacked firmness, giving off a false impression. The bukkake sauce itself was decently tasty, but it was diluted quite a bit due to poor draining. The same item my friend ordered didn't seem to be diluted at all, so it might have been a mistake with mine, but it was very disappointing. The inari sushi was decently tasty, but the vegetable tempura seemed to have been sitting for a while after being fried, as it was greasy and not very enjoyable.

I entered the restaurant at 12:20 on a regular day, and when I left at 12:31, the restaurant was 80% full. The nabeyaki udon I ordered for 790 yen was delicious with a quite sweet soup. As expected, Marugame Seimen is the best default option. I look forward to dining here again someday. Thank you for the meal.
