Hello, this is Harukichi. A new restaurant called "Yakiniku COWSI" has opened as a sister store of the popular aged meat restaurant "Akamiyakoushi". This restaurant is specialized for solo dining, with only 6 counter seats available. Each seat has a small partition for privacy, allowing customers to focus on their meal. The menu is designed for single diners, offering small portions of various types of meat. I tried the "Omakase 5 Items" set which included thick beef tongue, mystery meat, scallion-wrapped tongue skewer, straw-grilled liver, and samgyeopsal. The beef tongue was cooked in front of me with a sprinkle of green onion and seaweed salt, while the mystery meat was similar to harami and served with ginger soy sauce. The scallion-wrapped tongue skewer was simple and delicious with salt seasoning. The straw-grilled liver had a nice smoky flavor with garlic soy sauce. The samgyeopsal was thick-cut and flavorful. I also ordered additional items like aged rib loin, striped intestine with kelp, and marinated chicken skin. The aged rib loin was cooked with herb butter and served with truffle salt, while the striped intestine had a soft kelp flavor. The marinated chicken skin was tasty with a ginger soy sauce. I also tried Nicaraguan tripe and marinated meat on rice, both were delicious. The restaurant offers a variety of drinks including beer, sours, highballs, shochu, wine, catering to different preferences. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of solo dining at this unique restaurant in Fukuoka. I believe that with further refinement of the menu, this place has the potential to become even more attractive. This place is a must-visit for yakiniku lovers! The friendly owner will cook the meat together with you, discussing your favorite cuts and preferred grilling methods. I personally love beef tongue, and apparently there is a recommended way to grill it. If you're curious, be sure to visit this restaurant!

COWSI on Watanabe Street is a small restaurant with about 6 counter seats. On this day, we had the whole place to ourselves with just the three of us. It all started with grilled beef tongue, with the owner grilling each piece right in front of us. The interactive cooking style allowed us to enjoy conversation without worrying about the grilling process. The owner was also very talkative and shared a lot with us. The amuse-bouche was served in a can and when opened, it revealed stuffed bell peppers. It was a unique touch. The mini hamburgers served at the end were absolutely delicious. I would visit this restaurant again just for those. It was a place where you could enjoy both the taste and presentation of the grilled meat.

I made a reservation for a course meal at this restaurant and was surprised to find canned food as the appetizer, which turned out to be stuffed bell peppers with meat. Quite innovative! The meal started with beef tongue, followed by hormone marinated in kombu, and beef fillet on a bed of onions, all cooked right in front of us by the owner. The owner was very talkative and engaging, although I couldn't help but wonder if they were a bit tipsy (laughs). Honestly, I felt like the portion size was a bit small for the price. After dining here, I ended up going for ramen. I got the sense that many customers come here for the enjoyable conversations with the owner.

Casually patrolling around Haruyoshi, I stumbled upon this place while looking for a spot to have a drink. Unfortunately, it was full when I tried to visit, so this time I made a reservation in advance. However, it seems like this week the flow of people is slow, as it feels like the place is almost empty. It's tough for the food and beverage industry due to COVID-19, but it's lucky to be able to easily get into popular places that are hard to reserve. I hope the menu remains enjoyable. This time, I made a reservation for the exquisite course priced at 8,500 yen (excluding tax). I was surprised that the course started with canned food! It was stuffed hearts in raw green peppers, which was surprising. The course consisted of: 1. Canned food 2. Tongue with wasabi 3. Fillet with horseradish 4. Fermented okra, carrots, and roasted cauliflower 5. Inside thigh marinated in soy sauce with garlic 6. Rib roast 7. Cushion (sukiyaki-style with egg yolk) 8. Harami rice bowl 9. Mini hamburger. It was quite a filling meal. The grilling style seems to be a trend starting from Fukuoka and now found all over the country. I like it because you can eat without worrying about the doneness, and you can try various dishes. There are many places with this style in the area, but this place is making an effort. They offer a range of prices, starting from low, so it might be nice to casually visit alone. The drink selection is limited and the cost performance may not be great. It may not be suitable for heavy drinkers. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a hidden gem, very lovely. If you can establish a connection, you may want to become a regular customer.

This place, which is slowly gaining popularity among young people, was on my list because it's the sister store of a popular restaurant. They also offer lunch only on weekdays. At the entrance, there is a bone-shaped object. The restaurant has only 6-7 counter seats, so I sat at the back. Each seat has a small hearth-like base, and tongs are placed in front of each person. There are two lunch options: grilled meat set (1000 yen) and grilled meat bowl, so I ordered the former. A charcoal grill was placed with fire, which warmed me up in the cold weather. After a while, the grill was set up. The salad consisted of leafy greens, sliced onions, and a refreshing dressing. The main dish was harami (skirt steak) and kimchi. There were salt, wasabi, and original sauce as condiments. The rice and miso soup were homey with fried toppings. The sound of the meat sizzling on the direct flame was appetizing, and it felt luxurious. The combination of condiments was excellent and everything was so delicious! Each person has their own space, so it's great for dining alone or with friends. It's stylish, affordable, and I would love to visit again at night if I have the chance.
