When I find a shop that sells Inari sushi, I can't help but buy some for when I get hungry. I love the refreshing combination of chopped wasabi greens and vinegared rice, with a sharp kick that goes through my nose. The sweet and savory Inari sushi is also delicious, but I can't do without the wasabi Inari. It was delicious.

◉Genre: Inari sushi ◉Area: Hakata Hankyu, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City ◉Access: A few minutes' walk from JR Hakata Station ◉Parking: Not available (affiliated parking available) ◉Credit card payment: Not available ◉Number of visits: First visit ◉Number of reviews: 1 I visited "Mamedanuki Hakata Hankyu Store" on a whim on this day. ◇Exterior and Interior This is an inari sushi specialty store located in the basement of Hakata Hankyu, a large commercial facility directly connected to JR Hakata Station in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. It is a department store-style establishment with various inari sushi on display. ◇Seating Takeout only. ◇Menu Ginger, takana (pickled mustard greens), wasabi, gomoku (mixed ingredients), etc. The items I ordered are as follows: - Takana inari (184 yen) → Including tax. I purchased this for home consumption, despite the voice saying, "You don't like takana, right?" This day, I got takana, gomoku, wasabi, ginger, and mamedanuki. In general, the size is not the one-bite type but a standard size, and it is not the trendy dashi-based type. The fried tofu is moist and slightly sweet, which is a classic style that has been around for a long time. Among them, the inari sushi, which is the store's specialty, seemed the most delicious, but the takana was also good. The takana seems to be stir-fried with sesame oil, and the fragrance is good, with a nice spiciness. It also has a mayo-like quality, which adds to its unique flavor. Although I don't usually eat takana, this inari sushi with takana was surprisingly delicious. ◆Strengths Various inari sushi with no empty space. Looking forward to the monthly specials. ◆Service Average. ◆Summary An inari sushi specialty store originating from Umeda, Osaka. I had been wanting to try it once, and it was simply delicious. The past items are also attractive, and if it were closer to my home, I would likely visit regularly. Thank you for the meal.

I knew that "Mameda Tanuki" at Hakata Hankyu wasn't the same as the one in Hakata, but I suddenly felt like eating it again (laughs). I bought Mameda Tanuki inari and wasabi inari. Both cost 90 yen each, plus tax. The inari is slightly sweet, which is nice. It's good as a snack or as a way to finish off a drink. I think I first tried it in Tokyo, but I hope they expand nationwide. Even if they do, I know that Iwate might be left out... I'll definitely eat it again!

I didn't have time to have a leisurely lunch in Hakata, so I decided to buy some deli food at the Hankyu underground. There were many different shops to choose from, but I decided to buy a specialty item from a shop that I had seen on TV before. I bought one Matsutake Beef Inari for 270 yen, two regular Inari, and one black soybean Inari. I started with the Matsutake Beef Inari. It wasn't very juicy, but the sweetly seasoned meat was delicious. The black soybean Inari had a refined flavor and was quite tasty. Lastly, I tried the classic regular Inari. This one had the strongest flavor and was my favorite. The size was small and easy to eat, making it perfect for women. The prices were reasonable, and I would definitely buy them again if I had the chance. Thank you for the meal.

When asked what makes me happy about Hankyu opening in Hakata, personally, it would be the fact that I can always have "Mame Tanuki" inari sushi. I used to eat it during my business trips to Osaka. The assorted pack with various flavors costs 594 yen and once you start eating, you can't stop. The flavors include normal, wasabi, golden ginger, black sugar, and gomoku. I personally like the black sugar flavor. If the wasabi could be a bit stronger, that would be great, but maybe some people might find it too strong. For people like me, it would be nice if they could make a super nose-tickling wasabi version...●Shop InformationMame Tanuki092-419-5128Hakata-ku, Hakata Station Central Street 1-1Hakata Hankyu B1FOpening hours: 10:00-21:00

After my lesson, I stopped by the Depachika at Hakata Hankyu. I decided to take a look around and ended up buying some inari sushi, which I haven't had in a while since I usually just pick some up at the convenience store. There was a good deal for a set of 4 different kinds, 10 pieces for 1030 yen, but since it was already night time, I was worried about overeating so I just bought individual pieces. They had the following options: - Inari with seasoned tofu: 80 yen, a classic choice with sweet and fluffy fried tofu filled with sesame seeds, shiitake mushrooms, and dried gourd. - Black soybean inari: 120 yen, with a black fried tofu that has a rich taste of black sugar. They also had other flavors like wasabi, ginger, and seasonal specials. While convenience store inari sushi is tasty, the taste of a specialty store is definitely different.

MY FAVORITE FOODS & THINGS

In Hakata Hankyu in March 2016, after searching for sweets, I thought that I would definitely want to eat something spicy as a reaction. Eating Hakata ramen may be the norm, but that would just lead to more obesity! Just a little outside the sweets section, there was an inari sushi shop. This is good, it's decided. And it's cheap and looks delicious, right? I bought a pack of three just like in the picture, and now I can relax! I can't buy anymore, I won't be able to eat it all. I also got a lot of gifts for White Day, and I will introduce the sushi restaurant and the Japanese restaurant "Yamasan" separately in another post.

Located in the Hankyu Department Store basement directly connected to Hakata Station, this shop offers specialty inari sushi. Originating from Osaka Umeda, it is known for its subtly sweet flavor. In addition to the classic inari sushi, they also offer seasonal and regional limited edition items. The writer received these as a gift from a colleague while being confined to their workplace. The shop is popular despite its small space. The review describes the taste and texture of two types of inari sushi: "Mame Tofu Inari" and "Black Soybean Tofu Inari". The former is praised for its gentle flavor with a hint of sweetness and sesame aroma, while the latter has a slightly stickier texture and stronger sweetness. The writer personally prefers the standard version.

Hello, this is Harukichi♪ I was looking for a quick breakfast option at Hakata Station and came across this place. It's "Mameda" from Inari Sushi located in the basement of Hakata Hankyu. This shop originated in Osaka. I bought the "Assorted Inari Sushi Souvenir Set for 1,030 yen," which includes 4 different types of inari sushi, totaling 10 pieces. They have standard inari sushi, wasabi-flavored ones, and even ones with a rich taste using black sugar. Some of them have a vinegared rice with mixed ingredients. The packaging is sturdy, which helps maintain the juicy texture of the inari sushi. It's much more satisfying than buying a random rice ball on the go. With 10 pieces in the set, the price is quite reasonable for a department store purchase. It's perfect for enjoying on the Shinkansen. Of course, you can also choose the quantity of each type individually. Just for your reference. Well then♪ Harukichi. Fukuoka's Selected Gourmet http://ameblo.jp/nariagari5831/

I have purchased inari sushi a few times at Tokyo Station, but I didn't realize there was a shop in the basement of Hankyu Hakata as well. It seems to be a product of Hankyu Delica, so perhaps it originated in Umeda, Hankyu. I had planned to buy individual pieces, but ended up getting a set with various types of inari sushi. Inari Sushi Assortment Set (1030 yen) Includes 4 pieces of bean curd inari, 2 pieces of wasabi inari, 2 pieces of mixed ingredients inari, and 2 pieces of black bean curd inari. The fried tofu pouches are all sweetly simmered in the Kansai style, which I like. - Black bean curd inari: The fried tofu pouch is simmered with black sugar. - Mixed ingredients inari: Contains lotus root, hijiki seaweed, burdock root, bamboo shoots, carrots, etc. - Wasabi inari: Chopped wasabi leaves are added, giving it a light spicy taste. - Bean curd inari: Contains gold sesame seeds, shiitake mushrooms, and dried gourd strips. At 87 yen per piece, it's quite affordable and convenient to purchase.

There are not many good shops in the underground area of Hakata Hankyu, making this Tsukaeru shop a valuable find. Whenever I take the Shinkansen to Hakata and think about buying something on my way back, I always end up disappointed in the shops in the Hankyu underground. That's why I decided to go to Mamedanuki, a familiar shop from Kyoto. They offer a different type of inari sushi every month, and this month they had octopus! I bought five, including the octopus, for just around 800 yen. The best part is that they fit nicely in a bag, unlike bento boxes. When I got home, they were perfect as a snack with my sake, along with some rich-flavored rice and whiskey on the rocks. I wonder why Mamedanuki isn't in Kokura.

Hankyu Department Store Basement Food Tour - The first thing that caught my eye was "Mameda" which is written as "まめたぬき" and pronounced as "mameda." It is a specialty store for Inari sushi with various types available. I found a good deal on a Mameda assorted set for 525 yen. It includes 5 different types of Inari sushi: wasabi, Nozawana pickles, black, cod roe, and Mameda. I couldn't tell which was which except for the black one, so I guessed that Mameda would be the plain type and assumed it would be larger. However, I was wrong and ended up trying different flavors while feeling lost. I couldn't fully appreciate the taste, so next time I will just buy the simple Mameda ones to try.

A certain celebrity Korean wave talent was introduced on a major TV station as having a favorite dish in Japan, so I went all the way to the main store in Osaka to purchase it (although it was just a side trip while visiting Osaka). However, it was available at Hankyu in Hakata. It was right under my nose. I'm happy that I can buy it anytime. The atmosphere was completely different from the main store in Osaka, but the shop was there. At Hankyu in Hakata, a limited edition bento box was also available. It was very satisfying with a main dish of inari sushi and a well-balanced selection of side dishes. On a return visit, I tried all the different types of inari sushi. The "Mameinari Inari" is a classic favorite. It had a fragrant and elegant taste. The "Wasabi Inari" was not as spicy as expected, with a perfect mix of mellow spiciness and sweetness that made it irresistibly delicious. The "Kuromameinari" had a black coating on the outside, cooked with black sugar for a good flavor. The "Akameinari" had a red coating on the outside, simmered in sugar cane broth, with a good balance of sweetness. The "Gomoku Inari" had a variety of ingredients including lotus root, hijiki seaweed, burdock root, bamboo shoots, and carrots, making it a satisfying dish with plenty of fillings. And the seasonal limited edition inari sushi. In the latter half of this month, it was "Naruto Kintoki and Kuromame", with plenty of sweet satsuma sweet potatoes. It's a dish where you can taste seasonal ingredients. The price varies depending on the ingredients. The regular and wasabi options are reasonable, starting at 84 yen per piece. It's great that you can buy just one piece at any time.

Opened in March 2011 in the basement of Hakata Hankyu, this is a popular Inari sushi restaurant originating from Osaka. Despite its small size, there is always a line, making it easy to spot. The various types of Inari sushi displayed in the showcase sell out quickly, with employees working hard to keep up with demand. I chose a selection of five pieces to be packed individually from the showcase. The shape of the Inari resembles a small tanuki, hence it is named "Mamedanuki", with the perfect match of fried tofu and sushi rice. The Mamedanuki Inari costs 84 yen, featuring the irresistible combination of fragrant sesame seeds, shiitake mushrooms, and dried gourds. The Wasabi Inari costs 84 yen, with a surprising match of wasabi and the sweetness of fried tofu. The Gomoku Inari costs 147 yen, filled with lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, burdock, bamboo shoots, and carrots. The Kuro-mame Inari costs 126 yen, showcasing the unique "Kuro-mame" with the flavor of black sugar. The Mame-tsubu Inari costs 105 yen, a limited edition Inari sushi wrapped in a sheet-like fried tofu, exclusive to Hakata Hankyu with only 100 pieces available per day. They also offer a Mamedanuki bento box. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of Hakata Hankyu. Mamedanuki Hakata Hankyu Store, 1-1 Hakataeki Chuo-gai, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Hakata Hankyu B1F, TEL 092-419-5128. Business hours are from 10:00 to 21:00, closed on the same days as Hakata Hankyu's closing days.

A takeout specialty shop located in the basement of Hankyu department store. I often use it for lunch during work or late-night snacks during overtime. The lineup consists of inari sushi and related bento boxes only. There are always several types of inari sushi available, and the menu seems to change with the seasons. The price is very reasonable, around 100 yen each. They can also be purchased individually. The size is a bit small, so those with a big appetite might find it a bit lacking, but for someone like me who eats lightly, it's just the right size. It's great that Hankyu's basement is open until 9 pm.

Wasabi inari☆ I love it so much, when I was in Kansai, it was always my favorite to eat. I tried all the different kinds, but in the end, I always go back to the wasabi inari. Now, I only eat wasabi inari (lol). When I was trying to decide on dinner at the department store basement, I saw...mame tanuki!! Without hesitation, I got 4 pieces of wasabi inari♪♪ There was also mentaiko inari, which I saw for the first time, so I decided to try it☆ It was pretty good too☆ But still, wasabi inari☆ is delicious☆

I have bought some food at Shinagawa Station before heading to Haneda Airport. I enjoyed eating it on the plane and thought it was delicious. I wondered if they had it in Kyushu, and it turns out they do at Hakata Hankyu! I went there right away. The taste is not too sweet, but not too subtle either, just right. The size is perfect too. It's not too big, so you can buy a few and compare the flavors. It's always crowded, but if you go after 8 pm, you can buy them relatively quickly. They may have fewer options at night, but it could be a good time to go.

I discovered this shop for the first time when it opened in Hakata Hankyu. When it first opened, there were long lines everywhere, including at this shop, and it was too crowded to even buy anything. The other day, I stopped by around lunchtime and there weren't many people, so I carefully selected and bought some inari sushi. It was quite filling and had a sweet flavor, very delicious! There were various types of inari sushi, but I ended up buying the regular one and also the black one (I forgot the name, oops). Now I feel like eating delicious soba noodles as well. Oh, I didn't realize inari sushi was this delicious! I could eat it every day for a week. ♡

My family bought some Delica bento side dishes for me. One set was from Hakata Hankyu's Namadan, which unfortunately didn't suit my taste or quality. However, the assorted inari sushi from here was quite delicious. They were small and cute, with an elegant appearance. [Items eaten this time] - Ginger Inari: Wrapped in finely fried tofu with fragrant golden ginger from Kochi. Price: 130 yen. - Mame Inari: Wrapped in fluffy sweet fried tofu with fragrant black sesame, shiitake mushrooms, and dried gourd. Price: 98 yen. - Wasabi Inari: A combination of elegant spicy flower wasabi and the mellow sweetness of fried tofu. Price: 98 yen. - Gomoku Inari: Wrapped in plenty of ingredients such as crunchy bamboo shoots, lotus root, burdock, and hijiki seaweed. Price: 162 yen.

I used to buy these often at Hankyu Department Store in Osaka, so it was a familiar sight. I never expected to find them in Fukuoka, so I couldn't resist buying them on impulse. I bought two pieces each of Mamedari Inari and Wasabi Inari. Mamedari Inari is a regular Inari sushi with a thin layer of sweet fried tofu, and the balance between the vinegar rice and fried tofu is perfect. Wasabi Inari also has the same fried tofu, but the rice has wasabi in it, giving it a nice kick of wasabi flavor. It was a delicious meal!
