I ordered the chef's choice, and as expected, every dish was delicious! Each dish had a special touch and was served hot and fresh. The only downside was that the floor felt a bit oily and sticky. I always feel like eating at Teppan Jinja main store once every six months. I always go for the chef's choice course, and every dish is amazing. The beer is served in frosty mugs, which is a delight for beer lovers. The atmosphere at the counter seemed different from my previous visit, so I think they renovated. Since obtaining the 5th category certification for COVID-19, there were many foreign customers, making the place lively. In the middle of the tables inside the restaurant, there is a small mikoshi (portable shrine) that seems to appeal to foreign visitors, so if any overseas friends or acquaintances visit Osaka, they would surely be pleased.

This time, I went to the main store of "Teppan Jinja" in Namba, Osaka! This is a restaurant I've been going to for about 5-6 years now! The grilled skewers here are really delicious! With so many menu options, I was having a hard time deciding, but the staff recommended some dishes to me! The ones I found really delicious were the "Grilled Scallop with Crab Miso" and the "Grilled Squid Innards". Highly recommended! Because spring break has started, everywhere is crowded. I visited here and had the omakase course, which came out one after another. Delicious! The deep-fried skewers were heavy and strict, but the main focus on grilled dishes here was a relief! I stopped halfway and had some yakisoba, which was delicious. ★3 or below: not mentioned, ★3-★3.4: unlikely to revisit, ★3.5-★3.9: recommended, ★4-★4.4: highly recommended, want to revisit, would go out of my way to visit.

I finally got a chance to dine at the always busy Teppan Shrine that I had been turned away from before! The restaurant was bustling, and I could hear the energetic voices of the staff members. The dishes were on the smaller side but still satisfying, ranging from hearty teppanyaki skewers to smaller bites to enjoy. They also offered a recommended course where they would keep grilling dishes for you. You could choose what you wanted to eat based on your appetite, but I would like to challenge a full stomach next time!

I had the impression that there were mostly college students working part-time at this restaurant. The staff were close to the customers, serving drinks over the counter with a friendly attitude. Despite being an izakaya, it had a slightly more refined atmosphere, but the staff were quite chatty amongst themselves, which was a bit distracting. The shrimp in the photo was delicious, but the other dishes seemed like they were just grilled without much thought. The prices were cheap, so I wouldn't give it a low rating. They ask about your dislikes in advance and sometimes serve dishes that you didn't order, but they are delicious, so I ordered the chef's choice course. Cheers to start off. Oh, it was so good because I was thirsty! First, we had edamame and grated radish as appetizers. For grilled dishes, we had asparagus wrapped in pork, beef skewers, and konjac with roe. Asparagus goes well with mayonnaise, right? They serve dishes according to your eating speed. We also had jumbo shrimp, shiitake mushrooms stuffed with meat, shrimp toast, chicken wings, onions, salmon with salmon roe, yam, and more. I love konjac with roe so I asked for it again at the end when we were about to finish. I can pace myself and stop whenever I want. I'm still on a low-carb diet, but grilled skewers have many low-carb options so I could eat without worry. As I reached Sennichimae Street, near Akahige Pharmacy, I suddenly saw the words "Teppan Shrine". There were young people having a great time on the terrace. Inside the restaurant, there was something like a portable shrine. I got curious and decided to go in. Near the entrance, there was a presentation of the portable shrine. I started by ordering a draft beer and looking at the menu. The selection of dishes was not very extensive. The staff mentioned, "We specialize in grilled skewers." I ordered the pork kimchi and grilled cartilage, and carefully looked at the skewer menu. They offer an omakase option, but you can also order individual items. I tried asparagus, ginkgo nuts, and konjac with baby sardines. I also had a delicious shrimp bread, which had a unique taste, not like regular fried shrimp. They seem to have a special focus on olive oil. I tried grilled enoki mushrooms and okra. Although the dishes were light, the okra was particularly impressive. Looking back, I realized they have a strong emphasis on quality ingredients. The drink menu seemed limited at first glance, but all the alcoholic beverages had the name "Teppan Shrine". I tried their house wine in white and red, which tasted like Chilean wine, and it showed great taste. If the glass wine was good, then the bottled wine must be good too. While enjoying the skewers, the group next to us ordered yakisoba as their final dish. We ordered the simple pork yakisoba. It had thick noodles and a sweet sauce, which was very delicious. I ordered right in front of me and had it grilled. Among the popular items on the menu, my favorite was the stuffed mushroom and beef neck. Grilled with olive oil, I was able to eat a lot without feeling heavy. They also had hand-rolled sushi and yakisoba, which were very satisfying. For dessert, I recommend the "Hanabi," which is ice cream on top of sweet potato, where the warm and cold flavors blend in your mouth. Everything I ordered was delicious. There are still some items on the menu that I haven't tried, so I plan to go back again.
