Oh, there's a typhoon and I thought the train would be delayed, but it turns out the delay was caused by an animal collision in the mountains... I'm sorry, animals... I managed to safely arrive in Shinjuku. Despite the typhoon, there wasn't much delay, which was a relief. I apologize for not being able to make everyone telework... This is the third time this year I've worn rain boots. The journey to the station was easy peasy (^з^)-☆ I also got a big light blue umbrella. It might be a nuisance for the train, but please save me with your speed (^_−)−☆ Speaking of the umbrella... it's quite embarrassing with my name taped on the handle for theft prevention. It's usually kept at the office, but I had to use it in an emergency due to the typhoon... sweat. I'm entering this chain store for the first time! The walls and interior are stylish, aren't they? I ordered an Ice Cafe au Lait in size S. The juice made from figs and grapes seemed healthy too, but I can't relax, so I'll pass on that. I'm just glad I made it here. Cheers to a quick drink before heading to work. Thank you for the meal.

In the early afternoon, I had to go to Kyodo and stopped by Shinjuku for lunch. Dean & DeLuca Cafe NEWoMan is conveniently located next to the Shinjuku New South Exit ticket gate! Today, I had a Keema Curry Bun, an Avocado & Bacon Sandwich, and cold brew iced coffee. Since I have a physical challenge in the afternoon, I chose to eat quite a hearty meal. The cross-section of the Avocado & Bacon Sandwich looks beautiful (˶>ᴗ<˶)✨✨ The balance of ingredients is good and delicious. But more than that, the quality of the Keema Curry Bun was outstanding! It may not be apparent from the photos, but it was quite big and packed full of Keema curry inside. Eating this will definitely give you energy (‘-^)b Dean & DeLuca is a reliable cafe with friendly and pleasant staff at all locations! Thank you for the meal~✨✨

• Matsunosuke NY Carrot Cake 440 yen • Cake Set Cafe Latte S +330 yen (Single 480 yen). I completely love the carrot cake by Matsunosuke-san served at DEAN & DELUCA. Even though I initially planned on just getting a drink, when I saw the carrot cake displayed in the showcase next to the register, I couldn't resist ordering it. The perfect combination of moist and fluffy texture is irresistible. Grated carrots, finely chopped nuts, and raisins are generously mixed in. The subtle spiciness and moderate sweetness are delightful. The cake, which has absorbed plenty of moisture, is fluffy yet moist. The thick layer of cream cheese frosting on top is also a nice touch! When I feel like having a cafe time around Shinjuku Station, I always end up at DEAN & DELUCA in NEWoMan. They have outlets and plenty of seating. I will definitely continue to visit. Thank you for the meal.

Griotte cherry and pistachio tart, the texture of the crust is a temptation of butter, flour, and sweetness. I love the sweetness of Griotte cherry in the dessert, the dense fruit juice overflowing when baked, the overlapping with the crust, and the enjoyment of a rustic American tart.

I changed my evaluation criteria! This store always seems crowded, perhaps because of its good access from Shinjuku Station. I visited around 4 pm on a Saturday and it was still full, with people waiting. I bought a Carrot Cake for takeout for ¥475. It needs to be refrigerated, and they provided a cooling pack. Carrot Cake △ It might be the sweetest one I've ever had. It's moist and easy to eat, but the sweetness is a bit too much for me. They have other products like lasagna that I like, so I would like to try something else in the future. *The evaluation is based on the Carrot Cake this time.

- Wide range of products including bread and side dishes. Popular shop with simple design eco bags.
- Shrimp & avocado roll
- Grilled vegetable salad
- Iced tea

- Credit card accepted. For dining in, it's okay to secure a seat first. Managed by Welcome Co., Ltd. (Dean & Deluca Japan Co., Ltd.) with Masanori Yokogawa as president. The original American Dean & Deluca went bankrupt in 2020. There are over 40 stores in Japan, and they also have an online shop. The eco bags are popular.
- I always love their bread, so I decided to try something different for a change.

- New England Cranberry Cake 475 yen
- Cake set with Cafe Latte S +330 yen (Individual price 480 yen)
Once again, I had some free time at Shinjuku Station and decided to go cafe hopping. Lately, whenever I have some free time, I don't have the energy to go window shopping, so I immediately look for a cafe to relax. On this day, I revisited Dean & Deluca Cafe at NEWoMan, a place I had visited before and had grown to love for its cozy atmosphere. Without any hesitation, I decided to try something different this time, even though the Carrot Cake on display was tempting. I opted for Matsunosuke's New England Cranberry Cake, following the delicious Carrot Cake I had previously tried at Dean & Deluca.
The pound cake was absolutely delicious! The cake had a subtle sweetness, and it was filled with an abundance of cranberries and nuts. The amount of filling was so generous that it seemed to outweigh the cake itself. Not only were there plenty of cranberries, but also raisins, creating a perfect balance of berry tartness and nutty crunchiness. I also sensed a hint of chocolate flavor, which added to the delightful taste. The cream cheese generously spread on top was equally delicious, with a mild sweetness and rich creaminess. It complemented the tartness and nuttiness of the cranberry pound cake perfectly.
Matsunosuke's cake was truly a masterpiece. I might end up visiting Dean & Deluca quite frequently, so I want to try different cakes each time and make new discoveries. As always, the Cafe Latte was delicious, and I left the cafe feeling fully satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

• Carrot Cake 450 yen • Cafe Latte M (HOT) 520 yen. Looking for a cafe latte near Shinjuku Station, but ended up discovering a carrot cake at Dean & DeLuca Cafe in NEWoMan, right outside the Shinjuku Station's New South Exit. I've tried Matsunosuke's carrot cake sold at Dean & DeLuca before, but this original carrot cake was a first. The triangular-shaped cake looked so appetizing in the bakery corner. I decided to go for it without hesitation. The cake was individually wrapped, making it perfect for takeout, but I wanted to eat it right away, so I chose to dine in. The cafe had a nice seating area and even had outlets at the counter seats. The cake was soft and moist, with finely grated carrots adding a gentle natural sweetness. The presence of carrots wasn't overwhelming, but it was definitely plentiful. The cake had a mild sweetness, and the carrots added a lovely natural sweetness that blended perfectly. The cake had a good amount of raisins and nuts, adding a nice chewy texture. The cream cheese frosting on top had a slight tanginess but paired well with the mildly sweet carrot cake. The size of the cake for 450 yen was quite reasonable. The cafe latte was also delicious, and they even offered the option to switch to skim milk for free. Dean & DeLuca has various branches, each with its own unique atmosphere and selection of sweets, making it enjoyable to explore different locations. I'll definitely visit their NEWoMan branch again if I have time around Shinjuku Station. Thank you for the meal.

DEAN & DELUCA on the 2nd floor of Shinjuku's Newoman, located right by the new south ticket gate, reopened on June 12th. I decided to stop by after work on the reopening day. I arrived around 4:30 pm, thinking it would be a quiet time, but the store was quite crowded. So, I decided to go for takeout only instead of taking a break inside. DEAN & DELUCA offers a variety of reasonably priced items despite being a popular cafe. They currently have limited-time sets and Shinjuku store exclusive menus. My goal was the limited-time Matcha Red Bean and Cream Cheese Scone. It was a good deal at ¥360 (tax included) for its size. I also got a Mango Earl Grey Baked Cake as I wanted something else. This one was also a good value at ¥439 (tax included) for its size. I brought them home and enjoyed them as dessert with my daughter. The Matcha Red Bean and Cream Cheese Scone exceeded my expectations! The matcha bean was so delicious! I was impressed by how well it went with the scone. I wish it was a regular menu item instead of limited-time only! The Mango Earl Grey Baked Cake had plenty of mango inside and was moist. They also have menu items that can serve as a meal substitute, making it a convenient cafe. Despite the bustling atmosphere inside, it felt oddly comforting. It seems like a useful place for meetings or quick lunches on the go! They have a variety of sweets that could make great gifts, and browsing through them is quite enjoyable. It's also convenient that they are open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. ●For more details and menu information about the store, check out the blog♪ https://gokigenbiyori.com/deandeluca-cafe-shinjyuku-newoman/

Dean & DeLuca Cafe at NEWoMan, located just outside the new south exit of JR Shinjuku Station. It had been almost 6 years since my last visit, but this time I stopped by on my way home to charge my laptop. I chose a small size cafe latte for 440 yen and sat at the large counter table in the center of the cafe. Dean & DeLuca's drink menu is extensive, offering various types of coffee, tea, fresh juices, and more. They also have a food menu with light snacks and sweets available. It seems to be popular among women.

On this day, I was short on time but wanted to eat a little, so I decided to use a cafe. I chose banana cake and water. It's better to reserve a seat first before ordering because it was almost full during lunchtime. I bought a bottle of water, and the staff kindly asked if I needed a paper cup. It was very much appreciated. I was able to use the cafe comfortably. Thank you very much.

I went out of the JR Shinjuku Station New South Exit ticket gate and found a shop on the left side. I got a croissant, a maple cheddar croissant, and a small strawberry juice to go. I tried the croissant. It was crispy on the outside and moist inside. A masterpiece where you can enjoy the aroma and sweetness of butter. They use fermented butter. I also tried the maple cheddar croissant. It is a croissant topped with cheddar cheese, baked, and finished with maple syrup. Both are irresistible to croissant lovers. I bought a small strawberry juice. It's a cup where you can taste the strawberries well. It's a perfect cafe to take a short break right after the New South Exit.

I went to Yokohama for an event on Saturday and stayed overnight. On Sunday, I had to catch a high-speed bus from Shinjuku's "Busta Shinjuku" in the afternoon. I had about an hour until the bus departure time, so I decided to stop by a cafe called "DEAN & DELUCA Cafe Shinjuku NEWoMan Store" to pass the time. The cafe was located on the second floor of the same facility as "Busta Shinjuku." I arrived at the cafe at 12:01 pm and secured a seat as instructed at the entrance. The cafe had various bread and deli items, and I decided to look at the breads suitable as a snack with a drink. I chose "Canele" for 337 yen and "Canele Framboise" for 367 yen, along with a medium blend coffee for 469 yen. I paid at the register and received my order promptly. The tray included the breads, coffee cup, spoon, and napkin. I returned to my seat to enjoy my snacks and coffee.

It is located next to the ticket gate. A café with a shop attached. You can also buy bread and other items. The café space has quite a few tables lined up closely together. I ordered coffee and fondant chocolate. The coffee was very hot!! It was so hot that it surprised me a bit. The fondant chocolate had whipped cream on top, not ice cream. And for some reason, they poured cocoa or hot chocolate over it, which was strange... but it was delicious!!! It's nice to be able to casually stop by.

This is a cafe located right outside the ticket gate at the Shinjuku Station South Exit. It was around 9 a.m. on a weekday after New Year's. I was planning to take the Chuo Line Special Rapid train from Shinjuku after coming from home, and I had a little extra time, so I decided to have some coffee. The cafe had a combined feel with a miscellaneous goods store, and the table seats in the cafe area were a bit crowded, but there was some space available at the counter along the window (more like a glass wall facing the station passage). I brought a slightly large suitcase with me, so I placed it under the counter (I had to coordinate with the cool Latin-looking lady next to me who spoke English but not Japanese, and she kindly made space for me). I went to the counter to order a cafe au lait. I felt a bit hungry, so I also ordered a canele. I returned to my seat and started to enjoy my order. The cafe au lait was well made. Since it wasn't a latte, I didn't really need any latte art, but it was Shinjuku after all. The canele was delicious, with a slightly chewy texture. It was quite lively around me, probably because it was a weekday, but I was able to relax fairly well. It's time to move to the Special Rapid train platform. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a shop near the Shinjuku station ticket gate to buy bread for breakfast. It is a corner with many stylish shops such as a chocolate shop and a coffee shop nearby. Inside the glass-fronted shop, they sell bread and tableware. I chose a blueberry muffin and if you want to eat in the shop, you also order a drink at the back counter. Even though it was early in the morning, there were many types of bread available. I took the muffin home and warmed it up a bit before eating. The sweet dough and the sweet and sour blueberries went well together. It paired nicely with the café latte and yogurt. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the 888th restaurant. I bought home appliances at Nojima, and before heading home, I wanted to buy bread for tomorrow. I found DEAN & DELUCA on the shortest route to the station, which seemed like a good choice. I selected bread for my family, and for myself, I chose the walnut and Gorgonzola rustic bread. I love Gorgonzola. I ordered a hot mocha latte with soy milk to drink on the Azusa train. I'll have it as a takeout. Oh, it's slightly sweet. But not unpleasantly sweet. It has a chocolate-like taste too. I'll enjoy the bread at home. Hmm, it's delicious. The saltiness of the Gorgonzola is just right. Maybe there's honey in it too. A flavorful bread. According to Wikipedia, rustic bread is "a type of French bread. Because the dough has a high water content, it is sticky and difficult to shape, so it is fermented without shaping the dough and then baked. This results in an irregular shape. Rustic means 'simple' or 'rustic' in French." Perhaps it's easy to make without the need for shaping. It was delicious!

Dean & DeLuca in Shinjuku Newman is a large store with a shop attached, offering a variety of food and drinks. I had a cappuccino this time. It was a delicious blend of strong coffee with a softness from the milk.

I visited Dean & Deluca in Shinjuku, where I had been wanting to try their coffee. It had been a while since my last visit, maybe even before the pandemic. I really like their House Blend M coffee to go, even though the price has gone up quite a bit since my last visit. But I understand that everything is getting more expensive these days. The fruity flavor is still delicious! I hope that things will continue to settle down in this pandemic, and I look forward to visiting again sometime soon.

-Salt Sausage Roll 346 yen (tax included)
Sausage wrapped in focaccia dough. The key to the taste is the crystal salt. A popular bread that is a staple. I first tried it at Dean & Deluca Market Store Shinjuku and once again, it was delicious! The chewy texture of the focaccia, combined with the flavor of the sausage, was really tasty.
-Keema Curry Bread 389 yen (tax included)
Homemade keema curry, slowly simmered with onions, carrots, chickpeas, and raisins, generously stuffed into focaccia dough and deep-fried. A curry bread for adults with a deep spicy flavor from authentic spices wrapped in the sweetness of vegetables. This is also a popular bread. The thick fried bread is filled with curry filling! The homemade curry with plenty of ingredients is well-balanced with the thick bread dough. The spicy flavor that adults find delicious, with a good amount of filling, makes it perfect for a quick lunch. Even though I'm not a fan of very spicy food, I enjoyed it. When reheated, the crispy crust revives.
-Juicy Banana Muffin 389 yen (tax included)
Bananas added to dough made with grape seed oil, soaked in orange juice after baking. The surface retains a crispy and fragrant taste, while the inside is fluffy. I couldn't really taste the orange. When warmed in the microwave, it becomes even fluffier and moist, creating a comforting deliciousness. Eating it with bananas enhances the moistness. It's a simple and not too sweet muffin, recommended for when you want a simple sweet treat.
-Cannele around 300 yen?
Cannelé in the shape of a Kugelhopf. Coated with white chocolate, although the chocolate flavor is subtle. I followed the recommendation and ate it chilled. While the outer layer is not crispy, it has a fragrant taste, and the chewy texture inside requires thorough chewing. Not too sweet, which is great. Personally, I prefer cannelés that are crispy on the outside and have a strong rum flavor, so this didn't quite match my preference.
Total: Approximately 1,424 yen
