Betty's mayonnaise has nothing to do with this shop (lol). I was drawn in by the slightly tipsy set, but when I looked closely, the option of 3 drinks for 100 yen was actually cheaper. In the end, I ended up ordering more drinks, and even got a discount, so it turned out to be a good deal. The set included pumpkin salad, fried chicken, and fried Japanese eggplant, which were all delicious. The atmosphere was nice, with the owner and regular customers creating a welcoming vibe. It didn't feel like my first time there at all, thanks to the friendly service. I ended up staying longer than planned because it was such a fun place. I definitely want to come back next time to try the grilled squid.

On January 11th (Wednesday) For me, Wednesday is the day I want to drink. I want to drink more on Wednesdays than on Fridays. I felt the urge to drink around 8 o'clock after finishing work on Wednesday. I thought about inviting my colleagues, but with the current situation of the coronavirus, it didn't feel right to invite them. So, I ended up drinking alone! I thought about where to go, and ultimately settled on a safe bet. I decided to go to a place I have used frequently, "Betty Mama." This restaurant is run by Mama (nicknamed Betty), and it's an izakaya where she manages everything by herself. It's located away from the hustle and bustle of Tenma, and the calmness of the place is wonderful. There are only about 7 seats at the L-shaped counter. You can enjoy food, drinks, conversations with other customers, and conversations with Mama. Today, I had the following: ・Yokowa no Otsukuri (baby tuna) ・Garlic-grilled whale ・Kasu soup (fermented rice soup) (The Kasu soup at the end was amazing.) Everything was delicious. Especially the whale, which I hadn't eaten since elementary school, was delicious. It was very meaty and had no strong taste. Despite feeling a bit conflicted after recent news about the Yodogawa River, it was delicious regardless! I also tried "DAIYAME," a recommended shochu, for the first time. It's made from sweet potatoes but is easy to drink! I liked it. I had a great time chatting with other customers who arrived later at the izakaya. It's a wonderful place where you can enjoy a high level of satisfaction. I will definitely visit again!

It's a nice restaurant where you can relax. You can tell from the interactions of the regular customers. The New Year's appetizers were all delicious, and the grilled squid was also great. When we ordered two types, they cut and served them separately. The tomato shochu highball was better than the tomato sour. Thanks to the set that allows you to drink cheaply, it's a good place to visit.

On my way from Tomoncho to Umeda, I tried the "slightly tipsy set" for 1200 yen (two glasses of draft beer and three appetizers). It was my first time there, but the menu was extensive and reasonably priced. I also recommend the grilled squid for 300 yen.

Takawa sauce has a good sweetness that goes well with the squid (^ ^) And then there's Hermes, I mean Helmes sauce, which is darker and more savory. It seems that there was a Pikachu event at Sakaimachi Park nearby. A new shop has opened in a place where there used to be a long-established ramen shop. I happened to pass by the shop and bought grilled squid for takeout. Although it was a new shop, the staff were very efficient and the grilled squid was quickly prepared and ready to eat. The customer service was also very good, so next time I want to enjoy grilled squid with a highball inside the shop. The grilled squid was delicious, with a nice sauce and plenty of squid in it. Every time I pass by the shop, I feel like I want to buy it again. But maybe next time I'll try the fried chicken?

There was a new takoyaki and fried chicken shop that opened recently. You can take out or eat in at the shop, which has about 6 counter seats. I was tempted by the draft beer set (540 yen) and couldn't resist going in. The logo of the shop features a white chicken and a black squid. I wonder if it was designed by a professional. The draft beer set comes with Asahi Super Dry. I ordered the pressed takoyaki without egg. There were Hermes sauce and Takawa sauce available for self-service at the counter. Hermes sauce is made by Iwami Shokuhin Kogyo in Higashi Sumiyoshi Ward, Osaka City, and Takawa sauce is made by Izumi Shokuhin in Matsubara City. I appreciate that they have local sauces instead of ones from major manufacturers. The shop is located at 3-19 Suehirocho, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, in the 1st floor of Onishi Building.
