I was looking for delicious Japanese food and found this place for the first time. I ordered two assorted sashimi platters, simmered vegetables in miso and sesame sauce (no mackerel available), corn tempura, Wagyu steak, two draft beers, and plum wine on the rocks. The assorted sashimi platters were a great deal and each dish had a good portion size and was delicious. I found a great restaurant and the total bill was around 8000 yen.

I went to Kage Tora. The location is across the main street near Nishitetsu Inn. For more details, please refer to Tabelog. When you enter the restaurant, there is a wall and a counter on the other side. There is seating for about 5 people. To the right, there is a restroom, and to the left, there is a private room. We used the private room for our company gathering. It could seat about 4 men comfortably. The tatami rooms can be connected, so it should be fine for 10 or more people. This time, we added the premium all-you-can-drink option for an extra 500 yen, which included premium shochu and sake. We also ordered uni (sea urchin) separately. They were accommodating to our requests. The course menu included appetizers, sashimi, grilled dishes, chawanmushi, hot pot, fried dishes, and rice dishes (sushi). The menu may change depending on the ingredients available. We were able to enjoy a satisfying meal, including dessert. Since we were in a private room, we could relax and have a good time chatting and drinking. Although this time it was for work, it is also suitable for private gatherings. They also offer a light drinking course for 2000 yen, so I would like to try that next time. I was worried about not being able to make a reservation if it gets too popular, but I highly recommend this place. I would love to visit again.

We visited the restaurant as a walk-in for 2 people. The location is in the city center with a large and easy-to-spot sign. There are about 3 tatami rooms and a counter, giving the restaurant a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The menu was more affordable than expected. The food was surprisingly delicious and the portion size was decent, but it took about 2 hours for all the dishes to be served. This felt quite long. It would be better if they could serve everything in about 1.5 hours. The service felt a bit cold and formal. It may be more suitable for business entertaining rather than casual dining.

I visited for a colleague's birthday at the workplace! We ordered a course meal and it was delicious, plus having a private room was great too!! The price and quality of the course were satisfying!

I chose the all-you-can-drink course for 5000 yen, but even though it was Saga beef, I couldn't finish it because I was already full. It's a shame... The dishes were all delicious, beautifully presented, and the plates were nice too. Both the cost performance and the taste were very satisfying. I would definitely visit again!
