Wow, they have a Takoyaki shop at Takojizo?! I've known about it for a while because it's on my way home from work, but the shady atmosphere always put me off and I never actually went there haha. Takoyaki "Wanaka" Takojizo branch. It's located just a 5-minute walk from my house towards the Nankai Main Line Takojizo Station. Recently, a senior from the neighborhood told me that this shop is not a sketchy place, but a legitimate branch of a famous Takoyaki shop, so I decided to give it a try (lol). I decided to get 15 Takoyaki with sauce flavor (750 yen) and 8 with soy sauce flavor (450 yen) as a snack for my day off drinking. The sauce flavor ones were delicious with a creamy inside and a tasty broth in the dough, and the sauce was also really good. The soy sauce flavor ones were also tasty, with a nice umami flavor in the dough. The octopus pieces were quite big and overall, it was a good shop. The lady gave me a stamp card with their phone number on it, so next time I can just call ahead and don't have to wait. There's another good Takoyaki shop right in front of Takojizo Station, so I can alternate between the two now. It's fitting that Takojizo, with its name, becomes known for its Takoyaki haha. By the way, this shop also has an eat-in option where you can enjoy a Takoyaki feast. Thank you for the meal!
