I drank alone at the counter. I had grilled chicken skin, salmon sashimi, sake, highball, and more. The grilled chicken skin was incredibly delicious. I want to eat it again. The sashimi was also good. What was especially great was the service. The staff were bright and smiling, and they quickly approached me when I was looking at the menu. It was enjoyable.

The chicken skewers at Torikawa in Hakata are delicious with a sauce that includes not only salt but also mentaiko and yuzu. It was hot today, so the beer went down easily. They also have a wide variety of small dishes, making it a very welcoming place for casual drinking. However, I wish the chicken skewers had a sweeter and saltier sauce.

I often go to Take no Ya, but this was my first time at the Deitos branch. I stopped by for a drink after work and sat alone at the counter. They brought out freshly grilled skin right in front of me, and it was the most delicious I've had at Take no Ya so far. It was served hot and I was impressed. The mozuku and cabbage appetizers were also delicious. You can get seconds of the cabbage. They also have private rooms, so I'm thinking of using it for a company drinking party next time. I've found another favorite restaurant in Hakata.

I stopped by after a day trip to Oita and back to Hakata. I got a little carried away and ordered 10 pieces of chicken skin, which was a bit much, haha. But it was delicious. The drinks felt a bit pricey, but I guess that's how it is at izakayas. Sorry about that.

The restaurant seemed to have a high turnover rate despite being crowded, with quick service. The specialty dish is apparently the grilled chicken skewers, but they seemed a bit overcooked, almost burnt. There was a spicy seasoning sprinkled on top, which intensified the already strong flavor of the chicken skewers, making it a bit too spicy for my liking! 4/5

Located in the underground of Deitos on the east side of Hakata Station. I visited in the evening, so there were many office workers. At Torikawa, the chicken skin is grilled firmly, giving it a crispy texture that contrasts nicely with the chewiness of the center. The seasoning is just right, allowing you to eat plenty.

You can drink in the underground station from daytime. The izakaya menu is plentiful and reasonably priced. They also offer drink comparisons, and before you know it, you're already feeling tipsy. It was crowded even in the afternoon, with every seat taken. The chicken skin was very crispy and flavorful, with just the right amount of salt. It was delicious.

I came here because I wanted to eat chicken skin. They seem to be selling a large amount of it, so it's different from the chicken skin I'm used to. I was expecting a crispy texture, but it turned out to be soft chicken skin wrapped around grilled chicken. I'm not sure where they spent hours preparing it. The most common flavors are original, yuzu, and chili, but the one that came out the most was chili pepper. It comes with 5 pieces of chili, mushrooms, daikon radish, highball, and appetizers. The appetizer of simmered shiitake mushrooms and menma was delicious. You can get refills of cabbage, which comes with cabbage sauce and salted kelp. The cabbage is cut into large pieces in a small bowl, so the kelp on top tends to fall off, which is a shame. It's better to spread it out on the small plate provided and eat it with the sauce evenly distributed. The mushroom and daikon radish was delicious with a Western-style sauce. I wish the mushroom sauce was a bit stronger. I think this dish has potential.

On March 5, 2023 (Sunday), my husband and I stopped by here on our way back from a Fukuoka trip. During the trip, we had Mizutaki, mentaiko, Hakata tonkotsu ramen, and one-bite gyoza. I also wanted to eat yakitori, so we wandered around a commercial facility and randomly chose a restaurant. The yakitori that came out wasn't as juicy as I had hoped, so it was a bit disappointing. However, the restaurant was very lively, and it seemed like it was a great time for cheap drinks. Thank you for the meal!

Sushi set with beer is a great option when you feel like having some sushi as a snack. They offer a variety of dishes like mentaiko (spicy cod roe) donburi, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) donburi, and even motsunabe (tripe hot pot). I saw someone enjoying motsunabe even during the day. The yakitori donburi doesn't come with chicken skin, so it would be helpful if they mention it on the menu.竹乃屋 (Takenoya) doesn't include chicken skin in their yakitori platter as well, so it would be nice if they could specify that.

If you occasionally go, a place near Hakata Station where you can enjoy yakitori skewers is "Guruguru Torikawa Takenoya Deitosu Store". The main dish at "Guruguru Torikawa Takenoya Deitosu Store" is yakitori skewers! This time, I ordered the "Hakata Guruguru Torikawa 3 kinds comparison set" for 1360 yen, the "Anchovy Potato Salad" for 490 yen, and the "Frozen Lemon Sour" for 290 yen! First, I sipped on the refreshing and sharp Frozen Lemon Sour with a hint of lemon acidity. Soon after, the "Hakata Guruguru Torikawa 3 kinds comparison set" arrived! The yakitori skewers with yuzu pepper had a strong flavor with a combination of savory yakitori, saltiness, yuzu fragrance, and a powerful spicy kick! The Red Chili yakitori skewer matched well with the oily texture and spicy heat. The original yakitori skewer had a slightly rare texture with a sweet and savory sauce that was delicious! To finish the meal, I enjoyed the hot and spicy "Anchovy Potato Salad". The salad had a mix of fluffy potatoes, mayonnaise acidity, anchovy saltiness, and umami flavor that was irresistible! Thank you for the meal! I don't have many opportunities to visit the Hakata area, but if I have the chance, I would like to try out new restaurants again!

On the second day of my vacation in Hakata, I had to have dinner alone again due to a night conference call. It felt like I was in an episode of "The Lonely Gourmet." This time, I chose the Hakata Takenoya restaurant in Deitos near my hotel. I arrived around 5 pm, during happy hour, for a solo drink. Since I had a hearty breakfast, I focused on drinking in the evening. I ordered some snacks to go with my sweet potato shochu and soda. I chose the following items: Grilled mackerel skewer for 160 yen each, and Grilled chicken skin skewer for 140 yen each. The grilled mackerel skewer was light and tasty with a salt flavor, but smaller than I expected. I also tried the grilled chicken skin skewer for the second day in a row to compare flavors. They offered three flavors: soy sauce, red chili, and yuzu pepper. All were delicious, but I personally liked the red chili flavor the most. I enjoyed the skewers and shochu soda, and ended up having a few refills. Since I had a big breakfast with ramen and char-mayo rice bowl, these snacks were enough for me. After three rounds of shochu soda, my "Lonely Gourmet" experience came to an end in about an hour. The total cost was around 1800 yen, which was quite reasonable. Thanks to my solo drinking experience at Takenoya, I found myself starting to like grilled chicken skin skewers a bit more. Thank you for the meal.

I finished my meal of gyoza quickly and arrived at this place. The restaurant is spacious and looks like a nice place to relax and drink. They have a happy hour with drinks like beer, highball, and sour for only 280 yen. I ordered the signature dish, "guruguru torikawa," and some appetizers. I drank quite a bit of highballs and sours during happy hour and left after it ended (laughs). Even though I spent over 2000 yen, I had a good time. However, I think the new specialty dish in Hakata, the torikawa, could have had a stronger sauce flavor and been grilled more thoroughly. It was a bit different. Thank you for the meal.

At the beginning of the year, many restaurants had long lines, but this one had a spacious interior so we were able to get in relatively quickly. It's an izakaya where you can enjoy Fukuoka cuisine easily at Hakata Station, with affordable prices for both drinks and food. You can order Fukuoka's famous motsunabe hot pot starting from one serving, and choose between miso or soy sauce base for the soup. Additional soup is extra charge, so be careful. They also have a variety of side dishes using mentaiko (spicy cod roe).

Today I had a day trip to Hakata. I just had some snacks and drinks, but it wasn't satisfying. I was in the mood for Mizutaki (chicken hot pot), but I haven't had enough chicken yet. I guess I'll have some yakitori. As I was looking for a place, I found a yakitori restaurant, or rather an izakaya maybe. Perfect, I'll have a drink here. I sat at the counter and ordered a lemon sour. I decided to start with 3 pieces of chicken skin. Huh? What's with this lemon sour? The glass is so small. There's a lot of lemon, but not much alcohol... Accompanied by cabbage with salted kombu and spinach covered in bonito flakes. How much are they charging for this? Sipping on my drink while waiting for the yakitori. Right in front of me is the grill. Even if I didn't intend to watch, I can see the staff cooking. They started grilling the chicken skin that was skewered from a large cardboard box. This grill uses electricity. The grill next to it uses charcoal, but here they are lining up different skewers. They also started making Miyazaki's specialty charcoal-grilled chicken, dipping the chicken in sauce, sprinkling oil, and then leaving it alone. Flames rise, but they just leave it. They serve the charred (just covered in soot, right?) yakitori on a plate. They start flipping the chicken skin, but they don't care if the meat falls off the skewer. They pile it up in a big tub, maybe pre-made? My freshly grilled chicken skin arrives. The chewy chicken skin tastes okay. But... it's far from the taste I was looking for. This time in Hakata, I have 1 win and 2 losses, I'm in the negative.

Located in Hakata Deitos, close to the Shinkansen entrance, this restaurant is recommended for its specialty dishes such as motsunabe. Hakata Guruguru Torikawa offers delicious crispy and chewy dishes. With counter seats available, it is suitable for both solo diners and groups.

I have been frequenting various locations of Takenoya recently. After visiting the airport branch and the Higashihie branch, I decided to come to the Deitos branch this time. They are known for serving Irohani masu from Sumiyoshi Sakahan, so I am looking forward to enjoying some sake with my chicken dishes. The restaurant is located in a station building and has a spacious interior, which allows for a more relaxed and calm drinking experience compared to the bustling alleyway shops.

There seem to be scattered shops in Fukuoka!! I went during happy hour (*⁰▿⁰*) It was so much fun because they have a wide variety of options. Is there sushi at the izakaya? lol I wasn't expecting much, but the sushi was surprisingly delicious, no disappointments at all~ A place where you can drink from noon♡ I want to cherish it. Hakata Deitos has a history of opening in conjunction with the full opening of the Sanyo Shinkansen in 1975. On the 2nd floor, you can enjoy various Hakata ramen at Hakata Menkaido, but head to the restaurant area on the basement floor. At Takenoya, I was planning to try motsunabe, but since I wasn't very hungry yet, I decided to go easy on the portion. The mushroom daikon dish had a pretty tasty sauce with a mushroom flavor, and at 190 yen, it was very reasonable. The Hakata-style grilled ramen had thin noodles typical of Hakata, served on a hot plate with a nice charred flavor. It had chashu and kikurage in a tonkotsu soup base, which are typical ingredients of Hakata ramen, but the flavor was quite different due to the grilling. The onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg) and pickled ginger added a unique twist to the Hakata ramen. The mushroom daikon dish was delicious. It had a mysterious flavor that was like a mix of Japanese and Western tastes.
