The chef's choice course included asparagus pork rolls, beef neck, chicken wings, shiitake mushrooms stuffed with meat, and shrimp bread. The asparagus pork rolls have a nice combination of asparagus texture and pork flavor with mayonnaise. The shrimp bread has a strong shrimp flavor on toasted bread, making it a great appetizer. We also tried the yakisoba shrimp as a single dish, and the thick noodles were satisfying. As accompaniments for shochu and beer cocktails, we had sand liver, tomato stewed three-layer pork, chilled horse mackerel skewers, grilled eel skewers, and a bite-sized Iberico pork hamburger. The horse mackerel skewers were not grilled, and both pork dishes had great flavors. The grated radish served as a palate cleanser with soy sauce or ponzu was refreshing. With a variety of teppanyaki skewer dishes available, it's fun to find your favorites while enjoying the meal. We may try different teppanyaki skewer dishes or finish with yakisoba next time. I love Teppan Jinja and I often go there (^人^) I already have my favorite skewers that I always order ( ＾∀＾)♡ Recently, I've been hooked on their yakisoba and I order it every time... We decided to order individual items instead of a random course. Edamame and grated daikon were ready from the start. We ordered: asparagus pork rolls, chilled horse mackerel skewers, crab miso grilled scallops, snow crab wrapped in kadaif, leek and shrimp chili, shrimp bread, sea urchin sushi, salmon and salmon roe skewers, lotus root stuffed with meat, yam mochi, grilled seaweed with onion, and mixed yakisoba. The teppanyaki shrine that I can't remember how many times I've visited because it's so addictive. This time, I visited the Nankai Namba store with 4 people, so we sat at a table on the 3rd floor that was divided by curtains like a semi-private room. We ordered recommended dishes such as asparagus wrapped in pork, shrimp bread, makomodake, snow crab kadaif roll, and shiitake stuffed with meat. The basic concept is grilled skewers, so you can generally imagine the taste from the names, but even so, the taste of the asparagus wrapped in pork goes beyond that imagination. The balance of sauce, mayonnaise, grilling, everything is amazing. If someone reacts ambiguously to this, I don't think we can get along. My personal favorite is the snow crab kadaif roll. When I first tried this a few years ago, I was like, "What is kadaif!?" but now I occasionally see it at delicatessens and restaurants. It is a thin noodle made from flour and water. The combination of this with snow crab and shiso is truly perfect... it's so delicious that you'll definitely want seconds. I also tried the only dessert skewer, the fireworks, after a long time. For those who haven't tried it, I tell them to eat it quickly before it melts, without explaining what it is. The sweet potato is like a fleeting firework, topped with cold vanilla ice cream. It was a Sunday and all the nearby restaurants had long lines, but we were able to get in here smoothly without a reservation. We enjoyed dishes such as grated yam, camembert bacon rolls, potato salad, shrimp toast, grilled green onions, and of course, two jumbo shrimp. It's a shame that the restaurant seemed livelier when we visited last year.

I ordered about 10 skewers and some drinks, and the total bill came to around 8,000 yen. When I went to pay, the staff said they would prepare a few recommended skewers for me, which I accepted. I strongly believe that the staff's recommendations are the most delicious, so I prefer omakase at such restaurants. The creative skewers are delicious, but personally, I really like the daikon radish with grated radish that is all-you-can-eat for palate cleansing. The company is called Jyukou Co., Ltd., which also operates a yakitori restaurant called Shukyo. The president is a famous figure and has published several books. On the second day of the new year, I had dinner at Teppan Jinja in Minami. Teppan Jinja has several locations in Minami, and this time I went to the one on Minami-Kai Street. Since it's the third day of the new year, the number of open restaurants is limited, so every place is crowded. I had to wait outside for about 15 minutes before finally being seated at Teppan Jinja. We were guided to a table on the second floor, which was quite small. It was already cramped with just drinks, appetizers, and one dish on the table. The skewers were all delicious. I also enjoyed some hot sake towards the end of the meal. However, the cramped and smoky environment made it quite uncomfortable. I think it would have been a better experience if I had sat at the counter on the first floor, which was less crowded. Overall, I wish there was at least a smoking area separation in dining places. The restaurant's name is Teppan Jinja, so of course, teppanyaki is the main dish. First, we had the "Asparagus Pork Rolls". The texture of the asparagus and the sweetness of the pork are good. Next up is the "Shiitake Mushroom Stuffed with Meat". This skewer dish is also interesting and good. And delicious too! Of course, they also have yakitori.
