We visited a small 12-seat kushikatsu restaurant after a B'z concert on a Saturday night around 10 PM. Surprisingly, all 12 seats were full, with everyone being concert-goers like us. The kushikatsu here was better than what you'd find at a big chain restaurant, with a lighter batter and delicious seasoning. The first bite of the onion was so good that I couldn't help but let out a sound of amazement. This is a must-visit spot when in Osaka. The manager is friendly and fun. It may take a bit longer to get your food when it's busy, but the taste of the kushikatsu makes it worth it. We were very satisfied. Thank you so much for the wonderful meal! ✨✨✨✨

During Golden Week, I luckily walked into the restaurant without a reservation during dinner time. I ordered about 10 items a la carte, and each dish was superb with perfect thickness of batter and cooking. It was so delicious that it was hard to rank them against each other, and I could feel the difference in quality compared to nationwide chain restaurants or famous ones in Osaka. The service from the staff was bright and friendly, and the restroom was clean. The only downside was the group of baby smokers sitting next to us.

I happened to come across Yama-chan's omakase set at Nagahori Bridge. I had some time before the barbecue, so I decided to try the Garigarikun soda sour at Yama-chan. (I saw Inoki-san eating Garigarikun in his last YouTube video, so I couldn't resist.)

I visited this place in Shinsaibashi for a meeting while enjoying some drinks early in the day. The place caught my eye as I was passing by, so I decided to drop in. It was around 6 pm and I was the only customer at that time. The shop had just opened and had a fresh feel to it. The interior had only counter seats, and the shop was run by a single owner. I started with a beer, which was served promptly and nice and cold. The menu had a variety of dishes, including different types of kushikatsu. Everything was cooked fresh to order. The appetizers were served in small plates, and the owner worked efficiently and quietly. I could imagine a different atmosphere when the shop is busier. The kushikatsu was served piping hot and delicious. It's definitely a must-try when in Osaka. We had a two-hour meeting with work discussions and casual chats. It was a lively and enjoyable experience. Thank you for the meal.

Hidden gem. Located in Higashi-Shinsaibashi, this place is a must-visit. The variety of kushikatsu is amazing, with so many options to choose from. The taste is crucial... Hmm? It's even better than the kushikatsu place I visited in the fierce battle zone of Tsutenkaku the other day. The selection of drinks, kushikatsu, and side dishes at this counter-only restaurant is more than enough, and you'll definitely want to come back. The owner is a former comedian, and I even got a photo with them. Oh, I forgot to take a photo of the kushikatsu, but that will have to wait until next time.

It's a small shop with just a counter, but I think it's a really good restaurant rooted in the local community, not targeting tourists. The taste is always great no matter what you order, and the atmosphere is nice. I will definitely visit again.

Around the area of Dotonbori in Osaka, I finally visited a kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. Kushikatsu Kushi-Ten Kaseyan seemed a bit hard to enter because the interior was not very visible from the outside. The restaurant had a counter seating arrangement. Once seated, they placed an aluminum bat on the counter for you. A complimentary appetizer of salted cabbage automatically appeared. I ordered the Kushikatsu 8-piece set which included beef tenderloin, salmon, quail egg, pork loin, chicken tenderloin, shrimp, onion, and red Vienna sausage. They also provided tartar sauce for the salmon and shrimp. The sauce was not allowed to be double-dipped, but there was additional sauce available for pouring on top. They also had ponzu sauce, salt, soy sauce, and other condiments. The batter on the kushikatsu was fine and crispy, not greasy. The rice was cooked slightly firm but tasty. The portion of 8 skewers was quite large, and I found it to be too much. The restaurant is open until dawn, so it's convenient for late-night dining. I would definitely go back again.

On the first day of Golden Week, I once again visited the bar on Daiboji Street. I've been drinking every night this week and I'm tired. Well, it's all my fault though... It was around 2 am. The bar owner and regular customers invited me to a nearby kushikatsu restaurant called Kaseyan for a meal. First, the ladies requested fried rice. The kushikatsu included onion, shrimp, beef tenderloin, pork loin, soft-boiled egg, and red wiener... Kushikatsu is difficult to remember and even looking at photos later, it's hard to identify the ingredients. However, the kushikatsu here is generally good with no particular taste and good quality ingredients. When I asked the owner, he mentioned that the owner of Kaseyan is working hard at a new restaurant nearby. The fried rice didn't quite live up to the previous one for the ladies, but I found it delicious enough. I'm full now. Thank you for the meal.

When I asked for a recommendation for a place to drink late at night near Dotonbori, they suggested a tempura restaurant. Surprisingly, they are open until around 3 or 4 in the morning. Even though I was already full, the smell of the fried food made me order some... It was my third stop of the night, so I was quite sleepy and don't remember much. The only thing I took a picture of was the "Garichu". They actually put a "Garigari-kun soda flavor" on the spot! Who doesn't like Garigari-kun, right? I love it, so I was really impressed! I also feel like they had some unique tempura items. I'll definitely visit again for a late-night snack! The bill was also very reasonable!

I discovered this shop through the cable TV show "Doya Meshi Kikou" and was intrigued by the variety of interesting dishes I saw, so I decided to visit. The owner used to run a Western-style restaurant but expanded the menu to meet customer demands, resulting in a wide selection of about 100 items. I tried the apple kushikatsu, which had a nice cinnamon flavor like a warm dessert. The omurice kushikatsu was also delicious, reminiscent of a rice croquette. All the kushikatsu options were tasty. I also tried the yakisoba made with Chicken Ramen, which included chicken, noodles, and green onions. For drinks, I had the Gari Gari Kun soda chuhai, a unique concoction with a Gari Gari Kun popsicle in a soda chuhai. It was visually interesting and tasted great. The shop was lively and enjoyable, and I would love to visit again.

Tonight, what to eat? I haven't been to Kushi-katsu Kaseyan in a while, so let's go! The staff used to be pretty fun, especially the girl who drinks a lot. But she's leaving this month! Another potential girlfriend for the evil lord is gone! Too bad! Anyway, cheers with a beer! Oh, they have a lot of new items on the menu now! And look, they have a variety of chilled sake too! You can really get drunk at Kaseyan! The sake... goes well with beer. The Tonpei, sliced onions, and kushi-katsu were delicious! I didn't take many photos because I was too busy drinking. Well, it's okay. The master is a nice guy, so give it a try! Please support them!

The other day, I was wandering around Minami Shinsaibashi and found a small kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) restaurant called "Kaseyan" that looked like it could accommodate a solo diner. It only had a counter, so it was easy to dine alone. While enjoying the complimentary cabbage with salt and kelp, I couldn't decide what to eat. There were so many options, so I ended up getting a set of 5 skewers for 500 yen. It was a pleasant surprise to see tartar sauce served in a small dish for dipping the shrimp skewers. The skewers were not fried in lard, which I usually love for its unique aroma, but I still enjoyed them. I decided to order a few more skewers before heading back to work on my bike.

This shop, located in the vicinity of Shinsaibashi in Osaka, offers a 7-piece set of kushikatsu for 700 yen, and a 5-piece set for 500 yen, which is very kind. Each piece costs 100 yen and is of good quality. The ingredients are above average. There are many types of kushikatsu to choose from, making you want to try more after finishing the 7-piece set. The drinks are reasonably priced. The menu labels on the wall, seemingly hand-drawn by the owner, catch your eye. The attention to detail is evident. Although it is a small shop, I believe it is a place where female customers can enjoy kushikatsu in a relaxed atmosphere.

During a business trip in Osaka, I stayed at a hotel near a restaurant that looked delicious on Tabelog, called Kushikatsu Kaseyan. It was my first time trying kushikatsu in Osaka, and it was quite an experience. They served salted kombu and cabbage as an appetizer, which was simple but delicious. I ordered a set of 7 kushikatsu skewers, including beef, pork, onion, red wiener, shrimp, salmon, and taro. Each skewer was freshly fried and tasted amazing, especially with the provided sauce and tartar sauce. I enjoyed it with two glasses of beer for less than ¥1700. I may not know the standard for delicious kushikatsu, but the ones at this restaurant were really tasty.

"I haven't had kushikatsu anywhere other than 'Shinsekai' in a long time! When it comes to kushikatsu, it's usually in 'Shinsekai.' My late father loved the kushikatsu restaurant 'Tengu' there. Shinsekai is like a 'kushikatsu heaven' with many kushikatsu restaurants, but that trend is spreading to Minami as well, with more kushikatsu restaurants popping up. Normally, I'm not interested in any kushikatsu restaurants I see, but this kushikatsu restaurant in a backstreet of Shinsaibashi caught my eye. Kushikatsu 'Kaseyan' - the kushikatsu art piece outside is impressive! Despite being in Shinsaibashi, kushikatsu is only 80 yen each! 'Nama' (raw) is 380 yen!! So, I exclaimed 'Wow!' The restaurant doesn't smell of oil and is clean! A clean kushikatsu restaurant is refreshing! The variety of kushikatsu here is amazing! Let's start with the 'standard' kushikatsu set of 5 for 500 yen. 'Gyukatsu' and 'Buta Rosu' are here! Of course, the rule is 'No double-dipping!' The kushikatsu is crispy and substantial, so it's satisfying. I love the 'Ebi' and 'Tartar' ones! The 'Tamanegi' is sweet! The 'Satoimo' is rare! Eating it with 'Dengaku Miso' is fantastic. These are the 5 in the set. However, I always think 'No matter how beautifully you take pictures of kushikatsu, they all look the same with just the batter, right!?' Well, that can't be helped... Eating just kushikatsu can get boring, so having a side dish option is great. 'Yudofu' for 300 yen - this affordability is great! 'Aka Wiener' for 100 yen - why is this popular!? 'Salmon' for 150 yen - seafood, sasami, asparagus with ponzu, soy sauce, or sauce before dipping in 'Tartar' is the recommended way to eat. This eating style feels new at a popular kushikatsu restaurant. 'Beni Shoga' for 120 yen - I like this refreshing! Did you know 'Beni Shoga' kushikatsu is only in Osaka? 'Shishamo' for 150 yen is also not often seen. I love this! Now, there are some interesting items here, right!? 'Ringo,' 'Umeboshi,' 'Okura,' 'Kinusaya,' and others are not often seen! There are also creative items like 'Potato Salad Ham Roll,' 'Satsumaimo Ball,' 'Thick-cut Bacon,' 'Chikuwa Cheese,' 'Chicken Rice,' 'Mochi Uni Kurage,' and more! Since I love eggs, what I must try is... 'Hanjuku Tamago' for 150 yen! It has to be a big 'whole egg.' What's amazing is that despite being fried, the inside is hot and gooey half-cooked! It's skillful. It was delicious. This kushikatsu restaurant has a great vibe! What's great is that it's open until morning (5 am)! What, you ask? 'Is this fake information?'... Why, no way! That doesn't happen! But you said earlier 'It's fake,' right... No, no! It's 'Kaseyan'... (laughs). Kushikatsu 'Kaseyan' Osaka, Chuo-ku, Higashi Shinsaibashi 1-13-9 06-6121-2810 17:00-5:00 *Lunch service available? Time unclear Open all year round"

The other day, while wandering around Shinsaibashi, I happened to come across a shop. It opened on November 11th last year. The beautiful lady who seems like the perfect mama. I wonder if she is the owner? The lunch menu has over 10 items, including a one-coin menu with kushikatsu-style curry rice. I decided to go with the kushikatsu set meal (630 yen). They fry it fresh after you order. The set comes with 6 pieces of kushikatsu - beef, pork, shrimp, onion, lotus root, and sausage. The kushikatsu has a crispy coating and tastes great, especially the meat. It goes really well with beer! It also comes with potato salad, cabbage, rice, miso soup, and a small side dish. A very satisfying lunch for 630 yen. In the evening, they have a variety of izakaya dishes in addition to kushikatsu. They also offer bottle keep service, so some customers might come not just for the kushikatsu, but to see the mama and have a drink. Kushikatsu Kaseyan 06-6121-2810 Osaka, Chuo-ku, Higashi-Shinsaibashi 1-13-9 Lunch until 16:30 L.O. 17:00 onwards. They also offer takeout for lunch and delivery in the nearby area.
