"I haven't had kushikatsu anywhere other than 'Shinsekai' in a long time! When it comes to kushikatsu, it's usually in 'Shinsekai.' My late father loved the kushikatsu restaurant 'Tengu' there. Shinsekai is like a 'kushikatsu heaven' with many kushikatsu restaurants, but that trend is spreading to Minami as well, with more kushikatsu restaurants popping up. Normally, I'm not interested in any kushikatsu restaurants I see, but this kushikatsu restaurant in a backstreet of Shinsaibashi caught my eye. Kushikatsu 'Kaseyan' - the kushikatsu art piece outside is impressive! Despite being in Shinsaibashi, kushikatsu is only 80 yen each! 'Nama' (raw) is 380 yen!! So, I exclaimed 'Wow!' The restaurant doesn't smell of oil and is clean! A clean kushikatsu restaurant is refreshing! The variety of kushikatsu here is amazing! Let's start with the 'standard' kushikatsu set of 5 for 500 yen. 'Gyukatsu' and 'Buta Rosu' are here! Of course, the rule is 'No double-dipping!' The kushikatsu is crispy and substantial, so it's satisfying. I love the 'Ebi' and 'Tartar' ones! The 'Tamanegi' is sweet! The 'Satoimo' is rare! Eating it with 'Dengaku Miso' is fantastic. These are the 5 in the set. However, I always think 'No matter how beautifully you take pictures of kushikatsu, they all look the same with just the batter, right!?' Well, that can't be helped... Eating just kushikatsu can get boring, so having a side dish option is great. 'Yudofu' for 300 yen - this affordability is great! 'Aka Wiener' for 100 yen - why is this popular!? 'Salmon' for 150 yen - seafood, sasami, asparagus with ponzu, soy sauce, or sauce before dipping in 'Tartar' is the recommended way to eat. This eating style feels new at a popular kushikatsu restaurant. 'Beni Shoga' for 120 yen - I like this refreshing! Did you know 'Beni Shoga' kushikatsu is only in Osaka? 'Shishamo' for 150 yen is also not often seen. I love this! Now, there are some interesting items here, right!? 'Ringo,' 'Umeboshi,' 'Okura,' 'Kinusaya,' and others are not often seen! There are also creative items like 'Potato Salad Ham Roll,' 'Satsumaimo Ball,' 'Thick-cut Bacon,' 'Chikuwa Cheese,' 'Chicken Rice,' 'Mochi Uni Kurage,' and more! Since I love eggs, what I must try is... 'Hanjuku Tamago' for 150 yen! It has to be a big 'whole egg.' What's amazing is that despite being fried, the inside is hot and gooey half-cooked! It's skillful. It was delicious. This kushikatsu restaurant has a great vibe! What's great is that it's open until morning (5 am)! What, you ask? 'Is this fake information?'... Why, no way! That doesn't happen! But you said earlier 'It's fake,' right... No, no! It's 'Kaseyan'... (laughs).
