DAT, a delicious bar located a 4-minute walk from Shinbashi Station and a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station. I visited for lunch. There used to be an Osteria called Barca, but it seems the restaurant changed at some point. The new place also seemed nice, so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere inside is cozy yet bright, typical of a bar. The high ceiling gives it an open and pleasant feeling. The staff wearing black shirts adds a sense of cleanliness. There are 5 counter seats and 10 two-seat tables inside. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable. There is an LCD TV by the window, playing daytime TV shows with no sound, just background music. The lunch menu offers 4 options: "DAT's Tsutayaki Lunch Set" for 880 yen, "Negimare Yaki-shio Buta Lunch Set" for 950 yen, "Tuna and Avocado Yukke Lunch Set" and "Weekly Pasta Lunch Set" for 980 yen each. Extra rice is free, but pasta upsizing costs an additional 200 yen. I ordered the Tuna and Avocado Yukke Lunch Set. It arrived 8 minutes after ordering. The dish consisted of rice topped with tuna, avocado, chopped seaweed, and sesame oil. The freshness of the tuna was not very noticeable, but the combination of sesame oil and avocado, along with the unique flavor, made it easy to eat. The rice portion was small. The side dishes were quite satisfying: kimchi, 3 types of namul, pickled cucumber, stewed tomatoes, daikon pickles, and miso soup with tofu and daikon. Although each portion was small, being able to try a variety of dishes was enjoyable. The taste was decent, and the ability to try different things in small portions would appeal to women. The other menu items may also be popular with women. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, except for the uncomfortable chairs. It's not too crowded yet, perhaps due to its low popularity, making it a hidden gem worth visiting.
