I found a new restaurant, Nakau, on a road I haven't passed in a while. They had a drive-thru, but I decided to go inside. It was busy during lunchtime. I usually stick to the basic menu when I haven't been there in a while, but I was curious about the eel dish. I ended up ordering both. The food arrived in about 5 minutes, which was impressive. The miso soup was delicious, and then I tried the beef bowl. It was consistently tasty. Next, I tried the eel dish, which was fluffy and thick. It was delicious. Overall, the quality of the food has improved. It's a good place for a quick and satisfying meal with a variety of options.

Today, I had some errands to run by car and on the way I was wondering where to have lunch. Eventually, I decided to go to this restaurant. It felt like it had been a long time since I last came here. I used to come here a lot when it was located near the station. Today, I ordered the lunch set which included a seafood bowl (regular size) and cold Hiyashi Hare Udon (small size). Even though I was trying to avoid combining carbohydrates, I decided to go for it because of the seafood in the bowl and the small size of the udon. The amount of rice in the seafood bowl was surprisingly large compared to the seafood toppings, but the seafood itself was very delicious. I particularly liked the authentic wasabi that came with it. As for the cold Hiyashi Hare Udon, the udon noodles from Nakau have a nice chewy texture and are really delicious. It had been a while since I last had it, but I definitely want to come back to this restaurant again.

Visited on September 10, 2021, and posted on the same day (all information is based on the visit date) (prices include tax). Had lunch at the newly opened Nakau Takatsuki Tsunoe Store. Located at 1-45-8 Tsunoe-cho, along Prefectural Route 132. Easy parking for 13 cars, conveniently located at a corner by the intersection with easy access. Drive-thru available. Open 24 hours. It was my first time at Nakau. The ticket machine was simpler than the takeout order touch panel at Sukiya. Inside, there are 5 tables for 4 people, 5 tables for 2 people, and a central counter with 13 seats facing one direction. When seated, they served cold tea instead of water, with a pot for refills on the table. The green tea served was delicious. I ordered the 4 Types of Mushroom Oyakodon (regular size) with Haikara Udon set for 690 yen. It arrived in 3-4 minutes. There were other set options like miso soup set, Tatsutaage set, Kakiage Udon set, etc. The 4 Types of Mushroom Oyakodon featured a special sauce and a unique egg used in the popular dish Oyakodon, combined with 4 types of mushrooms (wood ear, shimeji, enoki, maitake). The special salty sauce with black pepper and garlic flavor enhanced the dish. The rice was well coated with sauce, and the pepper added a nice kick. The chewy texture of the wood ear mushroom was good. The dish had plenty of mushrooms but slightly less chicken. Towards the end of the rice, it felt like a delicious egg over rice. The Haikara Udon was served cold with a good texture. It was also delicious. I received a spoon as a store opening gift and a coupon. Also got a standard Oyakodon (regular) for my husband's lunch to go, which had a generous amount of chicken. Check out the blog for easier-to-view photos.

I used the drive-thru and the waiting time was extremely long. Once you're in line, it's hard to leave so you just have to wait. I don't recommend going there unless you have to, and I won't be going back again.
