The room with a view of Mt. Shari is spacious and relaxing, and the hot spring is very inviting. As for dinner, everything is delicious. Each dish is just the right amount and there are plenty of varieties, so I am full (laughs). The staff's service is efficient yet friendly. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

A hot spring inn in Kiyosato Town. I have stayed at this inn about 5 times. They have a hot spring and the rooms are clean. The rates are also reasonable. The hot spring gets crowded at night with locals. The water quality is good and warms the body nicely. For breakfast, there is a restaurant on the first floor. It opens at 7 am and there are already many customers. The breakfast is a Japanese set meal with two servings of rice, grilled fish, omelette, simmered hijiki seaweed, natto, and seaweed. There is also potato salad. It's a typical Japanese breakfast and delicious. But honestly, there is no surprise or excitement. It's a reliable breakfast. Perhaps this inn is more suited for those attracted to the hot spring?

When I visited Hokkaido, I stayed at Hotel Ryokuseiso near Shari Town and had breakfast at the restaurant Mukuge inside the hotel. The facility is probably operated by a local government or organization in Kiyosato Town, as it is conveniently located near Shari Town, the northern entrance to Shiretoko, and close to Lake Mashu and Lake Kussharo for sightseeing. The facility also has hot springs and is well-built. The restaurant Mukuge is located inside the hotel, but it is open to the public for day trips, so you can take a few hours break in the afternoon. I had breakfast there, and it was a half-buffet style with set meals served and self-service for salad and drinks. The breakfast was decent, nothing outstanding. The facility is new and very clean, with spacious and clean rooms for accommodation. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying there again when I visit the area.

Even though I should have a hangover, I still have an appetite. Maybe it's because I took a morning bath in the hot spring? My appetite is back. When I visited before, breakfast was in buffet style, but when I stayed overnight on a business trip after a long time, it was a morning set. I chose a gentle drink in the morning and the morning set and a small rice container arrived. I enjoyed the rice and side dishes! The rice was very delicious. Salmon was also served - the right amount of salt made the rice go down smoothly. I want to stay for a business trip again and have breakfast.

Salted mackerel, tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette), nikujaga (meat and potato stew), wiener sausage, salt yakisoba (fried noodles), broccoli, macaroni salad, hijiki (seaweed salad), natto (fermented soybeans), raw egg, umeboshi (pickled plum), pickles, octopus with wasabi, squid salted guts, tarako (cod roe) on rice, miso soup, milk, apple juice, coffee... that's about it. It's not the kind of content you come for breakfast, but more like a light breakfast the day after eating too much or a business hotel breakfast. The staff's customer service was efficient yet friendly. Thank you for the meal.

While racing against rain clouds and passing through the beautiful Kiyoshimahara Botanical Garden, we arrived at Kiyosato Town and checked into Kiyosato Onsen Hotel Midori Seisou. The hotel has a civic hall-like appearance and spacious rooms. After a delightful horseback ride, we were still feeling elated upon arrival. It's been a while since I felt reluctant for a day to end. The hotel consists of two buildings, with our room located in the A building which was built in 2010. We enjoyed a delicious seven-course meal at the Kinsui restaurant on the first floor. The lotus root manju was particularly tasty. We also tried the local specialty, Yumekariage made with Kiyosato's long potatoes. The main course was a pot dish, accompanied by rice and a refreshing drink of carbonated potato shochu "Kiyosato". We couldn't resist buying a bottle of the famous Kiyosato shochu as a souvenir. Dessert was a fluffy roll cake served with green tea. The next morning, we had breakfast at Kinsui as well, where a breakfast set was served at our table. I was delighted to see fresh tomatoes as I had been craving some vegetables.
