Every time I come to this mall, I've been wanting to try this onigiri. The other day, on my way back from shopping at the supermarket next door, I finally made my first visit. Since we were there, my wife and I decided to dine in and enjoy our meal before heading home. We each ordered two onigiri and miso soup as a set. The onigiri were all loosely packed and quite delicious. It seemed like most people were buying them to take away. It's a nice place where you can easily enjoy delicious onigiri.

This time, I visited Omusubi no Sato located at 6-6-6 Kashiishii Teruha, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City, Island Eye 1F for lunch. I have been curious about this facility since it opened, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, I haven't had the opportunity to visit until now. Omusubi no Sato is one of the multiple dining establishments in the area, specializing in rice balls. The interior is divided into a takeout counter and a dining area, where you place your order at the front. The centerpiece of the store is a table shaped like a rice ball! The concept is well thought out. There is also a counter where you can enjoy your meal alone. I ordered salted rice ball, beef shigure, and kombu. The basic rice ball was nicely shaped and not overly compacted, giving a good texture. The beef was flavorful, and the kombu was delicious. Freshly made rice balls are always the best, right? Thank you for the meal.

"Mentioned. Island Eye "Onigiri no Sato," which opened at the end of March. Despite the corona uproar, it wasn't too crowded. When entering the commercial facility from the parking lot, the first thing that caught my eye was "Onigiri no Sato." The dining area and takeout area inside the store are separated. This time, I opted for takeout. As I drove home, the freshly made rice scent filled the car, and I couldn't resist snacking in the car. The Spam onigiri costs 380 yen + tax and consists of soft rice with Spam and mayonnaise inside. Eating it right away was the right choice. In addition, they offer items like kashiwa onigiri (230 yen + tax), salted mackerel (280 yen + tax), and chicken tempura (250 yen + tax), which, although slightly pricey, have a homemade feel and are delicious onigiri. ● Store Information Onigiri no Sato 092-661-1040 6-6-6 Kashii Teruha, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City Island Eye Business hours 11:30-21:00"

The shop used to allow eating and drinking inside, but when I visited, they were only offering takeout. There are various types of onigiri available, and I chose three popular ones to take home: Spicy pickled mustard greens for 230 yen, Salted salmon for 300 yen, and Kombu for 230 yen. The ingredients are clearly visible as they are wrapped. The shop is located on the first floor of Island Eye in Kashii Teruyoba, Fukuoka City. As the name suggests, this is a place known for delicious onigiri (rice balls)! You can enjoy freshly made onigiri here. They pay attention to the quality of the rice and nori (seaweed) used in making the onigiri. The store is spacious and you can also have miso soup. This time, I bought simple salted onigiri and spicy cod roe mayo onigiri. They also have unique options like spam onigiri. The tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) looked delicious too, so I plan to try it next time.

I got some onigiri to go. The kashiwa onigiri was ¥230 (seems to be limited to weekends), the umeboshi was ¥250, the spam onigiri was ¥380, and the salted salmon was ¥300. Even though I thought they would be tastier right after being made, I resisted and took them home. They were meant for dinner, but I ended up eating the spam onigiri one hour after picking them up. The spam and egg were thick, and the rice was fluffy and delicious! The spam was really good! If possible, I recommend eating them in the store.
