The store was located on the first floor. There were various products available, but I stuck to my original plan and bought the Tokyo-exclusive Tigre Red Velvet. Since they were selling even just one for personal consumption, I bought one for myself as well. I paid with the Daimaru Matsuzakaya shareholder benefits card for the 10% discount, and then used a department store gift card, so it was a good deal. I tried it right away. The sponge cake had berry juice and dried fruits in it, and the jelly inside was full of berries, so it was quite delicious. I have also tried the limited editions from Kyoto and Nagoya before, but I always end up buying the local limited editions.

It didn't stand out much to me. - Gute de Rois Cacao: A classic rusk infused with chocolate and cocoa nibs for a rich, satisfying flavor. - Gute de Rois Sommelier: A rusk with butter flavor enhanced by fried onions, cheese, truffles, and black pepper. Perfect for pairing with wine or Western dishes. Overall, I would buy all items again except for Tigre Red Velvet. Among them, I highly recommend Gute de Rois Noir, followed by Gute de Rois Triple Berry and Tigre Rouge. Gute de Rois Cacao was also to my liking, although not in the top three.

After much deliberation, I purchased the following two items this time: - "Gute de Roi" White Chocolate (5 pieces, 486 yen) - "Gute de Roi Premium Hazelnut" with hazelnut paste (5 pieces, 972 yen) "Gute de Roi" is a popular item at the store, with a generous layer of white chocolate stacked on top of the rusk. While the regular items are delicious, I found the limited-time items to be even more to my liking, despite the higher price. With new limited-time items being released frequently, it's easy to miss out if you don't visit the store often. I now understand why the store is always crowded, making me want to visit more frequently.

I bought Goutte de la Rois and Goutte de la Rois Cacao from Gâteau Festa Harada as a souvenir. I have had Goutte de la Rois before, but this was my first time trying the Cacao flavor. It was a delicious rusk with a restrained sweetness. I didn't know that Gâteau Festa Harada was a company from Takasaki.

I may be weak when it comes to limited-time offers and region-specific products, as I ended up buying a greeting gift for someone and also something I personally wanted to try. I received three types of Gâteau Harada's rusk on 19.12.10. They were the standard Goutte de Loire chocolate-coated rusk, Goutte de Loire White Chocolate rusk, and Goutte de Loire Premium rusk. Goutte de Loire is known for its crispy texture and just right sweetness, a classic rusk. The Goutte de Loire Premium rusk is coated with milk chocolate, giving it a rich chocolate flavor that is more prominent than the rusk itself. The Goutte de Loire White Chocolate rusk, coated with white chocolate, also has a rich flavor that suits my taste the best. I recommend all of them. I think they are delicious rusks. Yesterday, I went to have a meal at Ueno Hirokoji, so I got my favorite thing at Ueno Matsuya's Gato Festahallada ❤️ I run about 80km a month (and do martial arts fitness), so before going to the gym, I always have something sweet about 1.5 hours before ❤️ The white chocolate rusk from Gato Festahallada is really delicious and it's my favorite! I found the Berry Test of Tigre Rouge at Gâteau Festa Harada in Matsuzakaya Ueno store. The raspberry-filled dough with raisins and cranberries added, along with cranberry sauce and butter, is moist and delicious. I also bought some regular rusks.

I bought it again, even though I wrote about it on my blog before. The Gouter Festa Harada's Kanto-limited Gouter de la Noire Noir rusk is so rich in dark chocolate that you wouldn't think it's a rusk. The cocoa nibs in the center are delicious, and I love the texture so much that I keep buying it. Valentine's Day is coming soon, so it might sell out. I don't have a Gouter Festa Harada store nearby, so if I find it again, I'll buy it right away. They have expanded their chocolate and other sweets selection, so I'll introduce them again. I thought it was just a rusk shop, but they have so many chocolates and other sweets too. Gouter Festa Harada.

I visited Matsuzakaya in Ueno to purchase gifts for those who have taken care of me. While searching the souvenir corner on the first floor, I came across a high-end store. Gâteau Festa Harada's "Gâteau Rusk Gout De Roy" is a popular gift from Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. I prefer the simple rusk with just sugar coating, and at a relatively affordable price of 3240 yen for 40 bags with 80 pieces. I also bought 8 bags with 16 pieces for myself at 627 yen. The French bread rusk has a crispy texture with a rich buttery aroma and a light sweetness. It's easy to eat, but I tend to finish 3-4 bags quickly. <December 2016 Received Gift> A business associate who moved to Tokyo about 5 years ago always brings back Gâteau Festa Harada's rusk as a souvenir when visiting Nagoya at the end of each year. They always buy it from this store. White chocolate is popular within my family and quickly disappears, but this time I discovered a new flavor called "Gouté de Roy," which is just a regular rusk and not as popular. It starts to go bad after about 3 months, so I end up forcing myself to eat it. I'm debating whether to tell them that I prefer something else, but it's hard to bring it up.

Mr. Harada entered Ueno Matsuya. Previously, he used to go shopping in Ginza, but now that it's in Ueno, he can bring it as a gift to entertain guests or to friends' homes. It's a convenient place for various purposes. Personally, I prefer the classic sugar rusk over the chocolate rusk. Recently, they even sell rusk snacks that pair well with wine, so I bought those too, but ended up giving them to someone else and couldn't try them. This time, I had a tea time with the classic sugar rusk! Next time, I want to try the snack rusk as well!
