In September, I visited my usual "Kinotoya" in Sapporo to buy a cake. This time, I visited Kinotoya Farm in the Sapporo area. The store has a dining area, but I resisted the temptation to dine in this time. The store was bustling, but the customer service was as excellent as always, leaving a good impression on my shopping experience. I noticed a corner displaying a recommended menu, so I decided to purchase it. ★Premium Fresh Cheese Tart @270 yen (including tax) per piece (810 yen including tax for 3 pieces in a box) The price is reasonable, but it's Kinotoya, so you can expect more than just affordability. The tart had a nice plump shape and looked promising. The balance between the delicious rare cheese mousse and the tart crust with almond powder was excellent. It was delicious. Considering the quality, the price was a bargain. Overall, Kinotoya remains as wonderful as ever. It's one of my favorite places. Thank you for the meal.

I feel like there aren't many places where you can pick your favorite cake from the showcase and eat in lately. I sometimes use the café corner at Kinotoya, where you can choose your favorite cake and enjoy it at your own pace. I ordered cheesecake and iced coffee, but the air conditioning was too cold, so I couldn't relax. However, the cake and coffee were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had soft serve ice cream in the store (it cost 408 yen). It had a refreshing taste with a hint of milk aroma coming through later. It wasn't crunchy like gelato, and it was different from the rich creaminess of whipped cream. It had a perfect balance of refreshing and rich flavors. Even in summer, when many people prefer shaved ice over ice cream, this soft serve was light enough to enjoy easily. The amount of cream was generous all the way to the bottom of the cone, making it a good value for the price. I personally prefer a stronger flavor in soft serve, so I was slightly disappointed and rated it lower. You can also order cakes from the showcase in addition to soft serve. Both soft serve and cakes are available for takeout, even when the store is crowded. The eat-in space is simple with a small number of seats, but the service is very polite, living up to the quality of "Kinotoya." Weekdays are busy with groups of housewives, but the atmosphere is welcoming, especially with many 4-person tables. It's a family-friendly place, so you don't need to worry about bringing kids. It's located within walking distance from Kiyota Ward Office. On weekends, there can be long lines of cars, so it's recommended to visit on weekdays if possible. Kiyota Ward is unfortunately the only area in Sapporo without subway or JR access, with only Chuo buses available. Taking a bus to the ward office is convenient, with many buses departing from Fukuzumi Station or Otani Station. I wanted to order the egg over rice set, but it's only available until 3 pm, so I'll have to try again next time. Thank you for the meal!

In a stylish interior, there is a variety of strawberry cakes. The cream puffs are 190 yen, while mille-feuille and shortcakes are in the 300 yen range, which is relatively cheap! The Fromage Berry Omelette is filled with cream but not too sweet, so you can easily finish it. I would love to go back if I have the chance. Plus, if you spend over 3000 yen, you get a coffee voucher for the cafe next door!

Today I selected two types of cream puffs as souvenirs for the customers. The staff here is always friendly and it's fun to shop here! The milk is just for myself (^.^) It's nostalgic, not too rich, but rather refreshing, with a lingering high-quality milk aftertaste. It was my first time visiting this Kinotoya, and I found out they also have breakfast items! While waiting at the counter after paying, I noticed four customers in a row asking if there were any eggs available. When I spoke to them, they said once you try the eggs from here, you can't go back to others! Well, I guess the eggs from a cake shop must be delicious. I heard they have stopped selling eggs due to recent price increases and avian influenza... I will definitely come back again♪

I've always been curious about the popular Strawberry Zerune that comes out every year at this time, and since I love custard, I wanted to try it! My family came to visit after a long time, and we decided to order it as a special treat. It was delicious! I'm quite picky about custard, but this one was just right for me. I don't like it when the vanilla essence is too strong, and I don't really care for vanilla beans either, but this custard had the perfect balance. Even my mom, who tends to be critical, said it was wonderful and tasty, which made me feel relieved. Maybe it's because it's a Bavarian cream, but it might be difficult to make it more readily available like in shortcakes or mini cakes. I would love to have it again. Thank you for the meal!

Today I had to stay home alone, so I got one cake, yogurt, and a cute solo dining box from the agricultural school. It's like a little gift to myself. The price of cakes at all the shops seems to be going up, making it harder to enjoy them casually. The size was small, but it had lots of fruits and the usual cream, so it was delicious as always.

I love Kinotoya, a Western confectionery shop in Sapporo. They are also dedicated to fostering local pastry chefs, which is wonderful. This time, I visited their Farm store, which opened in December 2019. They focus on using eggs and milk from their own chicken farm and dairy farm called "Utopia" in Niikappu, Hidaka. The store is a large house with a courtyard adorned with illuminations on the trees, creating a lovely atmosphere. Inside, there is a woody interior and they also sell their prized eggs. There is a spacious cafe space at the back with a view of the snowy courtyard through the windows. I tried their Kinotoya Farm Limited Utopia Delicious Grazing Milk Soft Serve for 408 yen. It's made with milk from Kinotoya's own grazing cows, and although I expected it to be rich, it was surprisingly light yet flavorful. It's different from the soft serve at New Chitose Airport, more pure and simple. I resisted eating in as it was before dinner, so I did some shopping at the shop. I also bought the Utopia Delicious Drinking Yogurt for 194 yen, which was simple and smooth, and the Cream Puff for 194 yen, which was big and cheap! The crispy choux pastry filled with custard cream blended with condensed milk was delicious. I also got the Nashi Pear Jelly for 324 yen and the Kinotoya Sablé "Fukukashiwa" for 151 yen, shaped like a "kashiwa" leaf which is considered auspicious for its symbolism of continuity. The buttery and flavorful sablé was delightful. I look forward to trying their cakes next time. Thank you for the meal.

There are a lot of gifts being given, which made me think, but well, it's a relaxed time in December, that's why there are so many treats being given. This time, I received gifts from two places, but one of them is a revisit, so I didn't feel like writing about it. KINOTOYA's "K" cookies are quite popular. I'll take them home and enjoy them later. I don't eat snacks while working because I skip breakfast and lunch, so I only drink water. The cookie is a bit hard, similar to me, with a mild sweetness. It has a crispy texture and a nutty aroma that spreads in the back of the nose. It's good enough to pair with beer.

The entrance to the parking lot is narrow, but it gets a bit wider inside. The café interior is quite simple and modern. The terrace overlooking the courtyard seems pleasant in spring or autumn. The atmosphere in the store is quiet and nice. It's a bit inconvenient that there is no price listed for the matcha soft-serve ice cream on the menu. It's strange that only people who order the tamago kake gohan can have the mini soft-serve. It would be better if this policy applied to those who order cakes or other sweets as well. The plates look a bit cheap despite the overall simplicity and stylishness of the place. Especially for the small freshly baked cheese tart, using a medium-sized plate would make it look less underwhelming. There is only Assam tea available, no Earl Grey or other options. There are expensive dorayaki priced at over 300 yen, but no green tea or hojicha available. The dorayaki is average. The cheese tart is not freshly baked and feels lukewarm. Hmm, neither of them tastes particularly good. When I tried to order the apple pie, it turns out they don't have it at this branch. Hmm, it's a bit inconvenient that each branch has its own unique menu. It may not be a big deal once you get used to it, but it's a bit disappointing for newcomers. It would be nice if they had a more appealing variety of drinks or gelato-like options. It didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Hello everyone! On my way to work or returning from shopping, I always end up stopping by a place to have a drink and then crave something sweet. Today, after having an early drink, I decided to drop by "Kinotoya Farm Store." I was there to try their new Souffle Cheese Pudding for 432 yen. I will enjoy it at home while feeling a bit tipsy. The fluffy souffle is amazing, and the richness of the cheese pudding underneath is irresistible. Compared to the Shine Muscat cake that costs over 600 yen, this is still quite affordable and highly recommended. Thank you for the delicious treat! *(^o^)* Please note that the photo is a mix of day and night shots, but the store looks lovely regardless of the time.

At Kinotoya's farm at Kiyota intersection, fresh eggs are delivered to the on-site factory for washing, cracking, and processing. You can enjoy egg sweets at the cafe. Try the pasture milk soft serve for 380 yen or coffee for 550 yen. The milk-based soft serve is not too sweet, just like ice cream!

After visiting several shops on my day off, we decided to head to Kinotoya upon the request of my friend. The main attraction here is the soft serve made with milk from Kinotoya's own farm, Utopia. This soft serve isn't available at the main Kinotoya store or at Chitose Airport, so we were eager to try it. When we arrived at the shop in the evening, the parking lot still had a good number of cars. Inside, there were many customers shopping. We quickly went to the counter and purchased the soft serve. The Utopia's delicious pasture milk soft serve was generously portioned and had a good volume, providing a satisfying treat. When we tasted it, it had a rich and creamy texture due to the milk fat content, but the sweetness was subtle, making it a light and refreshing soft serve. It wasn't overly sweet, allowing the natural flavor of the milk to shine through. Overall, it was a different and delicious soft serve from what I've had before. If I have the chance, I would definitely stop by again. Thank you for the meal!

OPEN I had been curious about this place since the beginning and even visited it a few times when I was traveling, but before I knew it, several years had passed. I had been wanting to try the soft serve ice cream that can only be found here (from Utopia) and when I finally went, I was surprised to find that they also had matcha flavor! I asked if it was the same as the one at New Chitose Airport, but they said they use different milk so it's a different product. I think it was at Odori BISSE...? Maybe not...? This soft serve ice cream is really rare. The regular version is completely different from Kinotoya's soft serve. Seriously, it's a whole different thing! It has a creamy and rich taste with a refreshing aftertaste, making it easy to eat. Kinotoya's soft serve is quite heavy, so I don't usually feel like eating it in the middle of summer, but this one is perfect even in the heat. I actually love it. It's very similar to the soft serve made with the milk from Betsukai town, which I really like. Also, I feel like Kinotoya's waffle cone is sweeter and crispier compared to other cones like Nissei's. I wonder if it's homemade? The Odori store that had a renewal open serves Utopia's soft serve, so if I ever feel like having the Betsukai-style soft serve, I'll go there. Next time, I'll try the matcha flavor... if it's available. I'm glad I discovered a new favorite soft serve this time! Thank you, Wu-ta-san!!! (((orz

Near the Kiyota Ward Office, there is a shop called "Kinotoya". They have a spacious parking space at the back of the store. I have visited their cafe before, so this time I went to buy some sweets for home. They sell various types of sweets such as fresh and baked sweets, but this time I bought the ones in the photo. Kinotoya is known for their crispy cream puffs and freshly baked cheese tarts, all of which are popular and delicious, but personally, I think the Sapporo Agricultural School sweets are the best. The price per piece is reasonable, and even if you buy a lot, it doesn't get too heavy, making it perfect for gifts. If you like cookies and haven't tried them before, I highly recommend them.

It was a cozy restaurant. You could see a mini egg factory on the way from the parking lot to the shop. There was a shop area and a cafe area where you could sit and enjoy your meal leisurely. The menu was not extensive, but the quiet and beautiful atmosphere was nice.

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend~! I woke up around 7 am, feeling refreshed. The only plan for today is to bring a treat to my mother at the care home. No lazing around today~! Tomorrow, Sapporo is expecting heavy snow? Well then, I heard that the tamagokake gohan (rice with raw egg) is delicious here. Let's go try it out with my wife! We arrived at the restaurant, which seems to be quite popular judging by the crowded parking lot. We entered and found a cozy seating area. I ordered the tamagokake gohan for 550 yen including tax, while my wife got the baumkuchen set for 770 yen including tax. Unfortunately, they didn't have the omurice set available today, which left my wife a bit disappointed. The visual presentation of the tamagokake gohan was nice, but the taste was just average. I might have set my expectations too high. Maybe we should have gone to Kita-no-ya Honten or Kokkoterasu instead. My wife mentioned that she would have preferred Kita-no-ya Honten, which is just a 10-minute drive away. She said the staff there are very friendly. Overall, it was a decent meal. Thank you!

Today, I visited a shop to choose a souvenir. Kinotoya's baked sweets have a wide variety. Personally, I like financiers. This shop also sells dairy products and eggs. Utopia's free-range eggs are small and cute with red shells that make you want to decorate them. These eggs are reasonably priced but are produced with great care and are fertilized. They were carefully placed in a box to prevent breakage. The scent is not strong and there is no lingering aftertaste. The yolk is pale in color and delicious in taste.

Located along the Takino Koen Street in Atsubetsu, opposite the Kiyota Ward Office, this restaurant has a parking lot at the back. The warm wooden interior and exterior, beautiful central garden, and spacious interior are filled with various carefully crafted sweets. There is a surprising menu item here - the Tamago Kake Gohan (raw egg over rice). The set includes eggs from their own farm, specially selected rice, soy sauce, and pickles. The aroma of bonito flakes on the rice is delightful. Mix the egg, pour soy sauce over the rice, and the golden color shines beautifully. The simple meal is satisfying, especially with the pickled vegetables. The W Pudding Parfait consists of a classic custard pudding, sponge cake, and whipped cream, with another hidden pudding layer. It is rich and delicious, with a perfect balance of sweetness and quality ingredients. The strawberry adds a nice touch to the creamy texture and rich flavor. After the meal, explore the store filled with sweets and watch videos of the farm and cows. I look forward to trying their omelette next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

At the JR Nagoya Takashimaya Hokkaido Fair, Kinotoya was selling their products. I couldn't find the 24-piece pack of their Farm School cookies, so I asked and they brought it from the back. They had the 12-piece pack available. The freshly baked cookies with apple and cream filling should be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days. They are light and soft.

I came to buy a birthday cake for myself. I didn't really need it because I'm on a diet, but my wife insisted... Not out of love though, haha. She said she had to get it for me since it's my birthday. I went around 4 pm and the cake options were limited. I debated getting the limited edition (omelette) but ended up choosing my favorite chocolate cake. It was the Royal Chocolate for 463 yen. It was indeed delicious chocolate. Well, it's Royal after all, haha. Of course, it's over 400 yen! Smooth chocolate cream with a rich flavor, not too sweet with a hint of bitterness, and the sponge was fluffy! I really like cakes from Kinotoya. But seriously, a cake that costs over 600 yen that my wife bought... It's more expensive than me on my birthday!! Haha. Thank you for the meal!
