Before going to the hot spring, I stopped by Kishiwada SA~^o^ Entered through the back gate's welcome gate^o^ I visited Matsuya, which I hadn't tried before^o^ I have already tried Strikeken, Danjiritei, and Senshuuan in the past. I visited the Kishiwada SA because Matsuya had opened there. I crossed Mt. Katsuragi and headed south on Route 170 from Kawachinagano City. I took the down line (towards Wakayama) from Izumihashimoto IC, where the Lalaport Izumi store is located. When I arrived at the SA, the parking lot was almost full due to the holiday. It seemed like the Kishiwada SA had recently been renovated, as the exterior still had a construction-like feel. Inside, the food court and souvenir shops had a new look with an emphasis on wood. There was a small Japanese garden-style rest area that was beautifully depicted on the wall from the food court. The food court shared five stores, including this Matsuya. I was disappointed when I looked at the ticket machine in front of the store. The menu only had options for beef rice, Negi-topped spicy Negi-tama beef rice, and kimchi beef rice as single items or sets. I wanted to eat kimchi cheese beef rice. I wanted to eat curry. Should I go eat curry at the neighboring Senshutei? In the end, I ordered the Negi-topped spicy Negi-tama beef rice. The dish arrived promptly. I added dressing and ginger, then returned to my seat. The beef rice had crunchy Negi and the egg yolk complemented the rice well. It was disappointing compared to my visit to the new Fujiidera store the day before.
