The other day, I used a coupon at Matsuya for dinner. I ordered Gapaoraisu (Gapao Rice) in regular size for 540 yen (originally 590 yen), plenty of cheese for 150 yen (originally 180 yen), and fresh vegetables for 130 yen. To be honest, it didn't suit my taste at all. I was looking forward to having an eel bowl, but they didn't have it anymore. What a disappointment. This is a self-service restaurant where you order at the table using a touch panel and then pick up your food when it's ready. You can also help yourself to drinks. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a morning menu with small dishes like the "Asa Teishoku" at Matsunoya. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. ☺️

Next to the Katsuya restaurant near the Onoshiba intersection along National Route 310, there was construction going on, and in no time Matsuya was completed! The construction period felt very short, at least to me. The new store looks beautiful and is open 24 hours a day. Currently, they only offer takeout after 9 PM. Matsuya offers both gyudon and tonkatsu from Matsunoya in one store. It is a self-service restaurant, where you select your menu on a touch screen, get your water, and clean up after yourself. Payment can be made with credit cards, QR codes, or apps like LINE Pay. I tried the Gyudon and my companion tried the Misokatsu, which was on a special deal for 500 yen. The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious. It's convenient to have such a nice restaurant near my home, and I hope both Matsuya and the neighboring Katsuya thrive in this competitive environment.

During my first visit, I got takeout. I wanted to eat it at home after work, so I decided to get takeout here. The employee at the drive-thru was very nice, and the food they provided was excellent. The double grated pork cutlet set with extra rice and salad with carrot dressing was delicious! It was a great meal to enjoy after a long day at work. Thank you so much!
