When asked where to find delicious sukiyaki in Osaka, I would recommend the restaurant called Kotoya without hesitation. This year, I was asked to choose a special place for a year-end party, so I chose Kotoya. Some people worry that making sukiyaki is difficult, but at this restaurant, the staff take care of everything so customers just need to enjoy the meal. The unique way of making sukiyaki at this restaurant allows customers to experience various emotions while eating. Even though this time we ordered the cheapest course, the sukiyaki was so delicious that our guests were very impressed. The total cost exceeded 10,000 yen this time because we also opened a decent bottle of wine, but if you just drink beer or house wine, you can stay within 10,000 yen. Thank you for everything this year. The meal was delicious as always. By the way, the restaurant is located deep inside a dark and narrow alley to the right of the entrance of Betty's mayonnaise, so please be careful not to get lost when you visit.

This is a hidden gem in the back alleys of Minami. This time, I had sukiyaki, which was delicious and expertly cooked by the staff. It's truly a great restaurant, and I feel there is a gap between the taste and the review score on Tabelog. I've also had shabu-shabu here before, and the sesame sauce was delicious. I highly recommend this place!

I visited a calm restaurant in a back alley because I felt like eating sukiyaki. I couldn't find a sukiyaki restaurant that offers private rooms or all-you-can-eat options, so I decided to check the reviews on Tabelog and visited this place. They serve sukiyaki where the seasoning is done with a dipping sauce, and the staff prepare it beautifully. I ordered the A3 course sukiyaki, and it was delicious. The side dishes that came with the course were also tasty, and I would like to try another good sukiyaki course next time I visit. The staff were all wonderful, and I got the impression that this is a beloved restaurant.

First of all, the location is a bit hard to find. You have to go about 20 meters down a narrow alley to reach the restaurant. (I confirmed this on Google Street View) I went there for a work party with about 12 people and we booked a private room on the second floor. We ordered the premium wagyu sukiyaki (domestic A3 grade) and the top-grade pork kimchi hot pot. The staff mentioned that the type of meat can vary depending on the day's supply. Even though it was A3 grade, the meat was high quality with good marbling. The hot pot was prepared in a Kanto style by the staff (Note: you may have to wait a bit for the hot pot to be prepared during busy times). The tofu soaked in the broth was incredibly delicious. We also ordered the pork kimchi hot pot, which had apparently become a popular menu item. It had just the right amount of spiciness and was very satisfying. I think you can enjoy dishes that are worth the price. I would definitely like to come back to this restaurant.

It is a famous local restaurant. I went there based on a recommendation from a regular customer. It is a quiet and cozy place. The sashimi was incredibly delicious, and the tempura was also very tasty. They have a wide selection of alcohol such as sake, shochu, and wine, but this time I focused on the food and ate to my heart's content. I would like to visit again for drinks next time. Oh, and the grilled fish the person at the next table was eating looked delicious too. There are various items on the menu, so I would like to try different dishes.

Located deep in a back alley of Dotonbori, this restaurant offers shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, but my recommendation is the kimchi hot pot. In a cast iron pot, spicy kimchi, plenty of vegetables, and high-quality pork simmer together, while you can enjoy multiple refills of beer (delicious Premium Malt/Suntory's long-awaited masterpiece). Kimchi hot pot can sometimes become monotonous and boring halfway through, but not here. And the unique touch of having an ojiya (rice porridge) made at the end is also delicious. It turns into a dry version and you can enjoy it like fried rice. On a cold day, definitely go for the kimchi hot pot.
