I visited the restaurant "Attack on Gyutan" located in Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka. This new restaurant opened on July 20, 2023, with a pre-opening, and had its grand opening on August 1, 2023. The owner, Shohei Ikeda, moved from Kyushu to Osaka with his family to fulfill his dream of becoming the best in Japan with his gyutan dishes. The restaurant has a street food-style setting with outdoor seating at round tables or benches. I had a chat with the owner while enjoying gyutan dishes in the open and relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes gyutan skewers (30cm or 45cm), gyutan salt yakisoba, alcoholic beverages, and drinks. On the grand opening day, a special "Attack on Gyutan Ramen" created by the owner and ramen expert Hirai was offered for free to increase awareness. I ordered the Attack on Gyutan Ramen, gyutan salt yakisoba, and cold oolong tea. The ramen had a clear soup made with pork broth and gyutan dashi, with a light yet flavorful taste that appealed to both gyutan lovers and those who prefer lighter flavors. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles cooked al dente, providing a good texture that paired well with the soup. The gyutan skewers and various vegetables added a nice touch to the dish. The gyutan salt yakisoba was also delicious, with a savory flavor that complemented the gyutan and vegetables well. Overall, the Attack on Gyutan Ramen was a unique and delicious dish that left a strong impression.

I found a shop for beef tongue lovers! It's perfect for foodies. You can also sit on the bench in front of the shop and eat. They have a tent for when the weather is bad. The menu includes premium beef tongue skewers in 30cm and 45cm sizes, as well as delicious thick-cut beef tongue in 2 or 3 pieces. Of course, I ordered the 45cm premium beef tongue skewer! The handsome manager cooked it for me, which got me really excited. They offer drinks like draft beer, highball, lemon sour, and soft drinks. This time, I chose oolong tea, but I'm sure it would go well with beer or highball! It was really delicious. They also mentioned they have beef tongue stew for winter, so I definitely plan on going back!

I found a specialty beef tongue shop right at the entrance of Senri Shopping Street! You can enjoy delicious beef tongue without having to go to a yakiniku restaurant. As someone who always orders tongue when going to a yakiniku place, I was thrilled to find a place where I could easily enjoy just the tongue. They offer 30cm and 45cm skewers, and the 45cm one is definitely more worth it. The beef tongue skewers made from tongue meat were incredibly tender and delicious. They even thought about providing a handle to prevent your hands from getting dirty and a plate to catch any sauce drips. It was a great experience to be able to enjoy just the tongue so easily. This shop is still new, so I look forward to seeing what new menu items they will offer in the future. The friendly and charming staff cooks the skewers right in front of you. I hope this place becomes popular among tourists too!

A sudden appearance of the Attack on Beef Tongue in Namba on July 20th. Opened on July 20th, the Attack on Beef Tongue (30 centimeters) and alcohol were the first orders. The beef tongue is delicious and goes well with alcohol. The manager is handsome and friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable. On this day, there was a special collaboration with Ramen master Hirai, offering a Beef Tongue Ramen. It was a light salt soup made with beef tongue and pork, with a lot of vegetables cooked in olive oil. It is easy for women to eat as well. The ramen was devoured immediately. Highly recommended!

Location is Namba. It was slot machine day on this day. By early afternoon, I had decided to cut my losses and was looking for a light meal option. I thought about having ramen or something similar, but after checking out some new places, I came across this place called "Shingeki no Gyutan" (Attack on Beef Tongue). The restaurant is actually a food stall and I almost missed it because it didn't stand out. After searching, I found a menu board placed a little away from the stall. As the name suggests, this place specializes in beef tongue dishes. They also have an Instagram account, but judging by the number of followers, it seems like they are just starting out. The menu is simple, with beef tongue, yakisoba, soba rice, and fried rice. I wanted to try both ramen and beef tongue, but they were offering free ramen as part of their opening promotion. So, I ordered a draft beer for 500 yen, yakisoba for 500 yen, and a 30cm beef tongue for 1000 yen. I also added a highball for 400 yen. I started with the yakisoba, which was different from the sauce-based yakisoba commonly found in Kansai. This one was salt-flavored and quite savory, which went well with the beer. The meat portion was decent and overall it was tasty for 500 yen. The set of draft beer and yakisoba for 1000 yen was a good deal. As for the beef tongue, it felt a bit lacking in quantity. A 45cm portion would have been double the size, but the 30cm portion disappeared quickly. The taste was good, but on its own, it felt a bit insufficient. It's more suitable as part of a set with yakisoba or fried rice. This place seems more geared towards food exploration and walking around to try different things. The friendly and energetic staff member made me wish for their success. The yakisoba seems like it could attract repeat customers, but they might need to make some adjustments to attract repeat customers for the beef tongue dish. At 1000 or 1400 yen, it does feel a bit pricey. Given its location in a tourist area, they might need to focus on promoting their food as part of a food exploration experience on Instagram to attract new customers.

Today, I visited "Shingeki no Gyutan" located right inside Senichimae-dori in Nihonbashi for the first time. This shop usually offers standing-style ramen, but today they had a special collaboration with Hiraishi, a contestant from the TV show "Ramen Do 2nd Season", offering Gyutan Ramen for just one day on August 19th for only 500 yen per bowl. ■■■Soup■■■ The soup is made from beef tongue and pork, creating a light broth with a salt-based tare. The addition of vegetables cooked in olive oil on an iron plate adds sweetness and umami. The richness of the beef tongue fat enhances the flavor. Despite being a light salt soup, it is incredibly flavorful and rich. □□□Noodles□□□ The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles made with whole wheat flour, providing a soft texture that complements the soup well. They are enjoyable to slurp and go well with the light broth. ■■■Chashu■■■ The topping is beef tongue, and the "Shingeki no Gyutan" (45cm) is a must-try. Once the ramen is served, do not hesitate to mix the beef tongue into the ramen. The tender texture and juiciness of the beef tongue pair perfectly with the soup, enhancing the overall experience. □□□Summary□□□ This ramen offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience with the added vegetable toppings. The beef tongue takes the spotlight, showcasing the dedication to meat flavor. With only 50 servings available for 500 yen, it's definitely worth trying this unconventional dining experience.
