On this day, I had lunch with a business partner at a restaurant that has only been open for about six months, so the place was very clean. We both ordered the special eel rice bowl set. The two eel bowls were stacked on top of each other, with half of each bowl overlapping. It was great. We also ordered extra rice. The eel rice bowl had a large amount of eel on top, and the slices were about 1.5 times thicker than other restaurants. And all of this was priced in the 3000 yen range, which seems unbelievable. The eel was tender, probably because it was steamed. You didn't even need to chew it. The rice was also delicious. We were recommended to try the summer limited edition grated yam, so we ordered one to share. It added a nice flavor to the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal!

It's difficult to rate eel dishes ( ̄- ̄) because preferences vary depending on the sauce and cooking style. This time, the eel I had was delicious but didn't quite meet my high expectations. The eel was tasty and satisfying, perfect for the summer season. The eel set meal I ordered came with fluffy tamagoyaki, and a small dessert that resembled a tiny mochi or dango. It's not the day of the Ox, but I suddenly felt like eating eel and finally entered the third restaurant. I ordered the special eel rice bowl and the grilled eel over rice. The eel was tender, juicy, and sweet, with an amazing taste. Personally, I might prefer it a bit more crispy. The grilled eel over rice came with green onions, seaweed, wasabi, and broth, allowing for flavor variations and keeping it delicious until the end.

While walking around feeling a bit dizzy, I stumbled upon an eel restaurant. It was a new discovery in the middle of summer. I was surprised to see that the prices were quite reasonable. I decided to go in and try it out. The restaurant had just opened this year, and the interior was clean and beautiful. They offered four types of eel dishes: the traditional "unaju," a dish with eel on top of a large omelet called "unatama ju," a bowl of eel topped with a soft-boiled egg called "ontama unadon," and eel and rice topped with seasoning called "hitsumabushi." Each dish had different levels of quality, with options for regular and special grades. I ordered the special grade set meal with hitsumabushi. The special grade included a whole eel. The condiments provided were chopped green onions, chopped seaweed, and wasabi. The set meal also included miso soup, pickles, and dessert. The hitsumabushi was served in a plate-like dish that made it easy to scoop up the eel and rice. It looked like it could be easily divided into three portions. The first portion had a generous amount of sansho pepper, chopped green onions, chopped seaweed, wasabi, and pickles on top. The second and third portions were served with broth poured over them. The eel sauce was not too strong, allowing the dish to be enjoyed until the very end. The total bill came to 3,520 yen. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

On a hot day, I was searching around the neighborhood for an eel restaurant. After looking in Tennoji, Teradacho, Bunno-sato, and Showa-cho, I finally found a place where I could get in right away. It was a new restaurant and very clean. I quickly ordered an eel rice bowl set with soup, pickles, and a small steamed bun. It arrived in about 10 minutes, and it looked beautiful. There were 5 pieces of shiny eel on top of the rice, which was just the right amount. The eel was fluffy and melted in my mouth. I finished it all in no time. The soup was light and had grated yam in it, which was a perfect palate cleanser. It cost 3000 yen and I even got change back. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went to a restaurant for a luxurious lunch on a sunny day in July to prevent summer fatigue. I chose the Hitsumagohan set with tororo, which cost 3190 yen. The Hitsumabushi can be enjoyed three times, but by adding tororo, I was able to enjoy it four times. The eel, tororo, and wasabi were incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I added some sansho pepper to the last piece for a bit more flavor. The grilled egg was also delicious. The rice portion was light, allowing the eel to stand out. Overall, I think it's a good value for the price, and I enjoyed the meal.

They use Yumepirika rice from Hokkaido, with a serving size of about 300g, almost equivalent to 1 go of rice. The eel is thick, tender, and well-marbled, with a savory and refreshing sauce that complements the rice perfectly. After enjoying the eel as is, you can add some sansho pepper and condiments for flavor variation. The tableside sansho pepper is fragrant and numbing, adding a wonderful touch. Finally, you can pour dashi over the remaining rice for a delicious ochazuke. With a total of almost 600g of eel and rice, you'll definitely feel satisfied, especially considering the reasonable price of around 3300 yen. Unajima, a new eel restaurant that opened in Showa-cho in January this year, aims to provide delicious eel at affordable prices. I revisited the restaurant to try their new menu items. First, I tried the Unatama Juu (special) for ¥3,100 plus tax. When I opened the lid, I was greeted with a thick piece of eel on a bed of thin omelette. The eel was tender and flavorful, and the portion was generous. Next, I tried the Ondama Unadon (large) for ¥2,700 plus tax. The dish consisted of about three-quarters of an eel on a bed of rice topped with a creamy soft-boiled egg. The combination of fatty eel and creamy egg was delicious. Unajima carefully selects high-quality eels and grills them to perfection. The light and flavorful sauce made from deep-sea water from Kochi prefecture enhances the rich flavor of the eel. The restaurant uses Yumepirika rice from Hokkaido, which adds to the overall excellent dining experience. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, with the special Unajima Juu priced at only ¥2,900 plus tax. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and happy. I heard that domestic eel is available at a cheap price, so I arrived five minutes before opening to be the first in line. I ordered the "Unatama Juu" for an additional 200 yen, which comes with an egg on top (limited to 5 servings). The Unatama Juu cost 1900 yen. It was served in just 10 minutes, which seemed surprisingly fast. The dish had a good amount of eel throughout, even though it was the regular Unagi Juu. The eel was soft and not too oily like farmed eel. The combination with the egg was great. The rice was cooked slightly firm. There were some inconsistencies in the cooking and sauce distribution, but overall, it was a good deal for the price. I would definitely visit this place again if it was nearby.

Just opened on January 5, 2023, this eel restaurant offers Unaju (eel over rice) for ¥2,400 and Unatama Ju (eel and egg over rice) for ¥2,600.
