This is a long-established confectionery shop called "Kashiya Shintani" located in Asahi-cho, Furano City, at the center of Furano. Since you've come all the way to Furano, let's buy some popular sweets to take home. Furano is famous for being right in the center of Hokkaido, known as the "navel town of Hokkaido". This shop is also popular for its "Navel Manju", with red bean and sesame flavors each priced at 130 yen. I purchased the "Navel Manju", "Furano Ring Cake" in milk and chocolate flavors each priced at 230 yen, and "Fubuki" in chocolate and plain flavors each priced at 180 yen. The Navel Manju I had was filled with plenty of red bean paste on a castella sponge cake with a Hokkaido map design. The Furano Ring Cake I tried in milk flavor was made using plenty of Furano milk, butter, eggs, and even processed cheese. It had a fluffy texture overall. The Fubuki I had in chocolate flavor had a chocolate-flavored biscuit with cocoa cream and strawberry jam. It had a slightly sweet and sour taste with a hint of bitterness. Since there are no other stores outside of Furano, it felt like a long time since I last had their sweets. It was during the peak tourist season, so there were many tourists visiting the shop!

I went to the Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro where they were holding a large Hokkaido food fair, and I made some purchases. Hokkaido is famous for its sweets, and it was my first time encountering them. I went in the evening, so there were only a few items left. The cakes were cut into quarters, which made it easy to portion. The white cream was just the right amount of sweetness, and the cheesecake was rich and very delicious.

In conclusion, they are the same thing. The difference in name comes from the flowers that bloom in each season, with peony flowers blooming in spring leading to "botamochi" being eaten in spring, and bush clover flowers blooming in autumn leading to "ohagi" being eaten in autumn. So, it's "Kashiya Shintani" shop. This is in Furano after handing over my wife and child to my parents-in-law. Oh!? It's not a vivid dramatic story~ (^^; Just my wife's homecoming~. It's not because of a fight. We don't have much to do with each other to fight...∵ゞ(´ε`●) ブハッ!! The main bakery and coffee shop I was planning to visit are both temporarily closed...(* ̄m ̄) Although they were not the main purpose, I'm feeling a bit disappointed~ ( ̄▽ ̄;) Inside the shop, there is a department store that offers a variety of Japanese and Western sweets, as well as Andrey Agassi and the same as Toh. Just kidding!!(laughs) The same as Toh was a bit inconsistent, right~(^^; It's a personal opinion. It's a shop famous for "Hesonomanju", so I initially planned to buy "Hesonomanju", but I fell in love at first sight with "botamochi" displayed near the entrance♡ I bought one and had it as soon as I got home. The register is a semi-self-service automatic cash register found in supermarkets, etc. Putting all the coins in my wallet is such a pleasure~♪ Some shops may say, "Please don't do that♡", but since the machine calculates anyway, I can't help but put them all in. I don't accept criticism!!∵ゞ(´ε`●) ブハッ!! Botamochi... 160 yen (tax included). The sweet bean paste is moist and sweet. The remaining rice grains inside are just right. It's delicious♪ I wish I had bought more than one.

Hello, this is Ibaraki Gentei. In the prefectural-wide questions for the fiscal year 2023, Question 7: Where is it necessary to notify the police in advance when flying a drone in Ibaraki Prefecture? 1. Around police stations or substations 2. Around the Ibaraki Prefectural Office 3. Around nuclear power plants 4. Around Mount Tsukuba Answer: 3 Explanation: By law, it is necessary to notify the police (Public Safety Commission) in advance when flying a drone in the airspace within approximately 300 meters of nuclear power plants or other important facilities such as defense-related facilities. Unfortunately, I could not meet Ayaka Takahashi, the Otaru concierge, during the 15th Spring Great Hokkaido Exhibition held from February 22 to March 6. I successfully purchased a product that my family marked on a flyer. It was the Furano Yukidoke Cheesecake (1 whole) for 1,650 yen. After returning home, I shared it with my family. It was delicious! The Furano Yukidoke Cheesecake, a representative sweet from Shin-tani that has been a hot topic in the media, has a rich yet refreshing taste due to its exquisite four-layer structure. The sweet and sour jam adds an accent to it. The frozen product was received at the venue, and I was told by the staff to thaw it in the refrigerator before consuming it. I thawed it slowly in the refrigerator and then opened it. It had layers of cream on top, cream cheese below, and a berry layer at the base. The cream cheese layer, which occupied the majority, was very sticky and had a texture similar to Basque cheesecake. Suddenly, my family exclaimed, "Oh, cinnamon!" They turned the outer box upside down and saw that cinnamon was included in the biscuit base. My family doesn't like cinnamon, so they switched from a fork to a spoon to eat it, avoiding the cinnamon. They passed the remaining biscuit base to me, and I ate it responsibly. It was a delicious meal!

I received the "Furano Snow Melting Cheesecake" from the confectionary shop "Kashiya Shintani" in Furano. Thank you. "Kashiya Shintani" is an established shop founded in 1914, and seems to be a long-standing store in Furano. The "Furano Snow Melting Cheesecake" I received this time comes in a stylish light blue box. According to the description on the box, the "Snow Melting Cheesecake" is a cake made over 3 days with the unique feature of being baked twice. The cake consists of 4 layers: 1. Fluffy melting cream, 2. Rich cream cheese cake, 3. Sweet and sour special jam, and 4. Special biscuit crust. It looks very beautiful, and I am looking forward to trying it. I will try it now. With one bite, it's delicious! The fluffy cheese cream spreads in my mouth. After the soft sweetness, a faint jam flavor expands. The soft sweetness is quite tasty. The bottom part of the Pate Sucree crust is also delicious. Especially the corner parts are full of cookie flavor, which I really like. It was so delicious that I finished it in one go. It's a quite satisfying product. I saw on their website that they also sell it in an online shop. Both on the website and in Furano, if I have the chance to go, I would like to purchase this item. Personally, I am very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I bought this rare-looking snack out of curiosity. It seems to be made with onion powder in the custard filling, inspired by Furano's reputation as an onion-producing region. However, the onion flavor is not very noticeable, so even people who don't like onions should be okay with it.

The plenty of red bean paste and fluffy skin were delicious with a taste that was not off-putting. There are so many delicious things in Hokkaido, I want to go there again when the world calms down. Seeing people wearing masks outside makes me feel down.

This shop is famous for its cheesecake, and I decided to purchase it based on its impressive appearance. The cream, rich in milk flavor, is packed all the way to the bottom of the choux pastry. While scooping up the cream from the top, I ended up with a mouthful of cream when eating the bottom part of the choux pastry. It was a happy moment, haha.

I visited on a regular day. This is an old-established confectionery shop founded in 1914. It seems to be part of the Morimoto Group now. They offer a wide variety of Japanese and Western sweets in a spacious store. There is also a parking lot a little further away. The sweets I tried this time were: - Morimoto Castella ¥130 - Onion Cake ¥108 - Furano Girl ¥120 - Belly Button Sesame Cookie ¥90. They were all sweet with a nostalgic taste. It was a shop where you could feel the history of Furano. Thank you for the meal! (^^)

I visited the famous sweets shop, Shintani, in Furano. While their cheesecake is popular, this time I decided to try their manju, which has a wide variety of flavors. I ended up choosing the classic one as a souvenir. I had one later and even though it was a bit small, you can feel the weight of the red bean paste inside. I couldn't stop eating it, it's delicious. Has it been sold for over 40 years? The taste that has been loved by people is right here. ★

I did not go to Furano during the summer tourism season in 2020. When I went to "Morimoto" at the request of my family, they were having a "Furano Fair" in one corner. Recently, there has been talk of the "○○ Method" by Malerebi, where you review multiple items at one store. While opinions may vary, I don't mind reviewing a wide range of delicious items, so I will continue to use this method in the future (laughs). It is said to be an old confectionery shop in Furano city. When you think of "Furano," you think of the "navel town" and "navel manju" for 108 yen. I bought sesame and red bean paste. Personally, I prefer the less sweet sesame paste. It might be a good souvenir from Furano. I wondered why they were having this fair at "Morimoto," so I looked it up and it seems that Furano's old shops have become part of "Morimoto." When I said I didn't need a plastic bag at the end of the payment, they deducted 2 yen. This means that the cost of the takeaway bag is included in the price.

I have been fascinated by numerous cheesecakes throughout my life, but this "Furano Yukidoke Cheesecake" is the best (≧∀≦) It ranks in my top 3 favorite rare cheesecakes! Akasaka Shirotai (best cost performance), Kamakura-yama House of Flavors (Japan's most expensive rare cheesecake), takes 3 days to complete. It has a 4-layer structure (almond powder base -> blueberry & mountain grape jam -> rich cream cheese cake -> slightly sweet fresh cream). I will visit the main store in the summer.

The Furano Yukidoke Cheesecake is often seen in the souvenir rankings of Hokkaido, and as a cheesecake lover, I had always wanted to try it. There are several varieties, but the most classic one has a crispy bottom, a refreshing cream cheese filling, and a generous amount of fluffy whipped cream on top. It has a different taste from LeTAO's cheesecake and was delicious.

"Famous for its 'Furano Snow Melt Cheesecake,' this shop was my first visit. I purchased the 'Belly Button Manju (¥130)' in three flavors: normal, matcha, and sesame, as well as the 'Furano Cheesecake (¥180)' and the 'Morimoto Dorayaki (¥180)' in white bean and red bean flavors. The Furano Cheesecake was incredibly soft and delicious, which I absolutely loved. This was my first time trying dorayaki and manju, and I was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavor without being overly sweet. Since I don't often get to visit the main store, I will definitely purchase them again if they are sold elsewhere."
